Friday Favorites

As is often the case with my Friday Favorites posts, there is a whole lot of random in today’s post….but good news for you….it’s also a whole lot of awesome.  😉

First up, Halloween with my peeps was so much fun!

We carved our pumpkin on Halloween, went to a neighborhood party, and trick-or-treated with friends!  It was a great time!

Carter was Indominous Rex from Jurassic World, and when anybody would ask him who he was, he would respond with “a genetically modified hybrid”.
Um, okay dude.  🙂

It’s FINALLY starting to feel like fall around here, there’s just something so cozy about a scarf.

Before I go any further, I definitely recommend sizing up 1/2 a size.
Click HERE and take a second to read the reviews.  It appears that they have an average of about a 4 1/2 star rating after 800 or so reviews.  The most recent reviews are kind of mixed (many of the bad reviews just talk about how you need to size up)….but as long as you size up, I think you’ll be fine.
I wore them to the mall yesterday, to pick up Carter from school, and to get Carter’s hair cut.  And 5 people complimented me on them!
And if you don’t like or need leopard booties, this exact bootie comes in several different solid color choices.  I really like this heel height and where they hit me on the ankle.  And they were pretty dang comfy for heeled booties!

But HOLY SASSY.

I ordered THIS wedge pair a couple of weeks ago (Lucky brand) , and although I loved the look of them, they were super uncomfortable (the wedge was so high that it actually hurt on the arch on the top of my foot).  So anyway, I was so happy when the above arrived and I loved them!

While at the mall yesterday, I popped into Pottery Barn.
Was it weird that I wanted to run by Starbucks, throw on a blardigan, and just stay a bit?
I want THIS light fixture for my kitchen.
Here’s the problem.
Chris is the kind of guy that thinks “Why do we need a new light fixture?  Our current one works just fine.”  And I’m all, “because our current one is fugly.”
Chris….get this for me for Christmas and I’ll be your very best friend.  🙂

And I wanted to take THIS duvet home with me.

My friend JJ sent me a text message on Wednesday with a picture of her in a new tunic she was wearing! HOW CUTE IS JJ?
Well, this shift dress is a great deal and it’s from Old Navy!

It also comes in a deep wine and a pale pink.
I absolutely love the neckline and the detailing.
Now, JJ warns that when she bought it that there weren’t any reviews, but there are now a couple of reviews that warn that washing and drying will shrink it.
So, JJ washed it last night to try it herself, and she reported that there was in fact shrinkage. 🙂
So, if you buy this dress, plan on having it dry cleaned….or JJ thinks maybe buy a size up to allow for some initial shrinkage!
