It’s Friday, so y’all know what that means! It’s time to link up with Erika and Andrea to let everybody know what some of my favorite things are right now.

WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT
Y’all. This fancy little graphic 😉 popped up on my Facebook timehop this week, and I teared up.
For those of you that have been with me from the start, the below name and graphic style might look familiar. I had my friend Andrea make this graphic pretty soon after I started my blog 13 YEARS AGO so I could put it on my personal Facebook page and hopefully get friends and family interested in hopping over and checking it out.
For those of you that weren’t around from the beginning, Sheaffer Told Me To actually began as Pinterest Told Me To, and most of my posts were dedicated to recreating outfits that I liked from Pinterest.
WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT 13 years ago that the blog would actually take off and cultivate a loyal group of followers? Certainly not me! But I have to tell you, I’m just so incredibly thankful and grateful that I’m still doing this 13 years later. What a blessing! It’s obviously because of y’all!!!!! So THANK YOU!

MY GAME DAY OUTFIT
Chris, Carter, and I are all heading to Norman this weekend for the OU game!
I grabbed a new top and bag strap from Amazon for the occasion, and I’m really happy with both.
The bag strap is super cute, the perfect crimson red, and only $10! You can just throw it on any clear stadium bag you have, but you can click HERE if you want to see what Amazon currently has available.

I’m pumped about this red blouse. It’s got a great split neck, the pleats around the bust are an adorable detail, and I’m loving the longer puff sleeve. It will be perfect for game day, but I will be wearing this baby all fall long. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium. (More on the Pistola jeans later in the post.)

SOME NEW TOPS and NEW JEANS
I ordered this puff sleeve blouse last week at full price and fell in love. And it’s NOW ON SALE!
I love the color combo (pink, brown, and cream), the feminine graphic floral pattern, the split neck, the swingy fit, and the voluminous sleeves (that don’t add too much bulk). It’s lightweight and perfect for early fall. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.
I love it here paired with this wide leg denim. More on the denim in a bit.

For a different look, here’s the same blouse with my Pistola jeans.

These are the “Rhythm Vintage” and they are currently ON SALE! They’ve got good stretch and are quite soft, so they are super comfy. I love the ankle length and frayed hem, and I think the overall fit is very flattering. For size reference, I’m wearing a 27.

This split neck top has some of the same vibes as the one above (split neck, swingy fit), but the colors are much more bold and the neckline goes a little deeper (a little too deep for me actually). If not paying attention, it shows a little bit more boob than I would like. It probably wouldn’t be a problem for most of you, but I have very little room between my neck and boobs, so it can sometimes cause issues for me. Haha! For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.

Now let’s talk about these wide leg jeans. They’re from Wit and Wisdom, our favorite and much beloved denim brand, and they are a super flattering wide leg that I think a lot of you are going to love. I find that sometimes a wide leg jean makes me look wider all over somehow, but not these! They are fitted through the hips and upper thighs, so they hug in all of the right places! Also the wide banded hem on the bottom adds some fun extra style. For size reference, I’m wearing my regular size 4.
But listen, before you buy, you need to be warned…
When you first take them out of the box they have a very strong chemical smell. Now, the smell washed out for me after one wash, but you need to be prepared. 😉

And again, here’s the same top with my Pistola jeans.

Do y’all remember the red Madewell ruffle blouse I fell in love with over the summer? This blouse totally reminds me of that Madewell blouse, but I love this one even more! I showed it last week with cream jeans, but I thought y’all might want to see the top with the wide leg denim too.
The brown floral pattern is GORGEOUS and truly fall perfection. This blouse is really great for those of us that have mild falls. The fabric might not be what you typically think of for fall (since it’s so lightweight), but the colors are all fall. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.
It also comes in a navy/mustard combo that is DARLING. And the navy and mustard is still available in all sizes!

This pintuck blouse is a beautiful rich smokey blue color (the pictures don’t do it justice). It’s 100% cotton, super lightweight, and I love the feminine details of the pintucks, the v-neck, and the sleeves with the subtle puff. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.

This tee caught my eye online because the stripe looked like it was a perfect OU crimson on the site, but I would actually say it’s more of an Aggie maroon. #whoop
Still, although not the perfect game day tee for me, I love it anyway. And I’m telling you, if you’re an Aggie you should jump on it. It is a very relaxed fit with a banded hem that I think is so cute. It’s 100% pima cotton and so soft. It’s definitely a tee, but it’s a bit elevated. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.

And now I’m showing you a 3rd pair of jeans today! This pair is a darker wash, cropped, and cuffed. I tend to prefer a bit of a lighter wash, but I do have people asking for dark wash options all the time. I’m wearing my regular size 4 here, but I did find the waistband to be pretty dang tight. If between sizes, I would suggest sizing up.

I first showed this sweater in an outfit planning collage a couple of weeks ago, and I couldn’t resist ordering it myself. It also comes in a neutral stripe and a wine stripe. The other colors are great too, but this olive green and color combo spoke to me. The neckline has a great layered look (see the blue peeking out?!?), and of course there’s a faux sweater that is casually tied over the shoulders. It’s giving preppy vibes, and I love it. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.
In the future, I’ll wear it without a necklace. I think with the necklace it’s “too much”.

Today’s 4th pair of jeans! These patch pocket jeans were in August’s Top 12 after only appearing in a couple of outfit planning collages next month. You can grab them for only $35 from Amazon. They come in 5 different washes, but the ones I got are the “blue”. Very stretchy, very comfy, and totally on trend. For size reference, I’m wearing a 6. If your belly isn’t a problem area for you, then you will take your normal size.

SOME FAVORITE THINGS I’VE BEEN EATING
Okay, so if you’re a cottage cheese girly (I know people typically LOVE it or HATE it), here’s a snack I’ve been eating on repeat.
A toasted slice of Ezekial bread layered with some Good Culture 2% cottage cheese (it has to be Good Culture!), some of the light guacamole from Trader Joe’s, and some heirloom tomato slices. Sprinkle the top with some salt, pepper, garlic powder, and lemon pepper…. and you have yourself a super healthy, filling, and delicious snack! It’s crunchy, it’s creamy, and it’s just dang good.

A new Whole Foods opened up very close to me, and I took a morning last week to leisurely stroll the store with no list and no agenda… I was just going to pick up things that looked good to me.
Here were some of my favorite things I grabbed…
Thai-Inspired Chicken Soup – 5 STARS (DELISH! A little spicy and so flavorful.)
Cava Tzatziki Dip – 5 STARS (It has tons of dill, and I love dill.)
Pineapple Mango Salsa – 3 stars (Fresh and bright, but a little spicy for me.)
Grilled veggies from the salad bar – 4 stars (I enjoyed scooping spoonfuls out to eat as a side with chicken, shrimp, and salmon during the week.)
Spicy Shrimp Roll – 4 stars (The spicy siracha mayo had more heat than I was expecting, but still yummy.)

Awe, colored jeans and a statement necklace! That was the thing for a while! Do you remember what year you switched from “Pinterest Told Me Too” to “Sheaffer Told Me Too”? I remember the switch but wondering how long it has been.

I don’t remember, Brooke! Chris will remember, so I’ll ask him!
