MY DRAWSTRING PANTS

We’re going to kick off today’s post with 3 different outfits with the drawstring ponte pants I’ve been raving about for awhile now.

If you remember, back in September I posted some outfit plan collages with these drawstring ponte pants. They sold out immediately, and I was so sad that so many of y’all wanted them that couldn’t get them. Well, THEY’RE BACK and FULLY STOCKED!

They’re from Wit and Wisdom, they are an awesome ponte fabric (which means they are so stretchy and comfy), and they are DARLING.

They will be great for those of you that work in an office environment, but they also look great styled casually with sneakers.

LOOK HOW CUTE!

Plain and simple, THESE PANTS ARE FANTASTIC. And the readers that were lucky enough to grab them back in September think so too! I’ve received countless messages singing their praises. They are a substantial ponte knit, but they aren’t too thick or bulky. They are incredibly flattering, super comfy with the drawstring waist, and just a cool look! You can easily dress them up for the office with a nice sweater and flats, but I also love them worn super casually here with sneakers.

A perfect mix of comfy and polished, these stretchy ponte pants feature a drawstring waist, full-length legs and ‘Ab’Leisure shaping pockets for a smooth fit.

These chunky gold hoop earrings are in my Top 5 favorite earrings of all times. They are simple and classic, but they’re chunky which also makes them a bit modern. They go with everything and can easily be dressed up or down.

You want a good neutral fashion sneaker that doesn’t break the bank? These are your sneakers. They are comfy and true to size.

I love this look.

Here I’ve styled the pants with more of an office vibe in mind. A cute little cardi and leopard flats dress them right on up.

My pearl hoop earrings are ON SALE and would make a great gift.

The pants are so so good.

These leopard flats are a favorite of mine, and they are ON SALE too! I love them with these pants, but I wear them with ankle jeans all the time. This leopard pattern is actually a neutral, just a neutral with sass. True to size for me and quite comfy.

Just a casual look for the office. You’ll be sooooooooo comfy, but you will look very put together.

And for the final look with the pants, I went simple with the sweater, but fancy with the earrings to dress it up. I’m wearing mules here, but I feel like you could even style the look with heels and a clutch!

I’ve owned this bracelet for years and love how it can instantly add a little bit of glam to pretty much any outfit.

SOME TRADER JOE’S FOOD FINDS

I got some new foods at Trader Joe’s, and I thought I would review them for you.

I’m going to give 20 stars to the dumplings, and I’m going to give two stars to the beef pho soup. To be clear, this is a 10 star scale, and the dumplings really do deserve 20.

The dumplings are INCREDIBLE. I saw a recipe on social media where they put the dumplings in a soup, and I wanted to try it. First, I tried the recipe I saw online and didn’t love it. So while at TJ’s, I thought I would improvise and I bought the pho to put the dumplings in. I wouldn’t recommend the combo or even the soup by itself.

But again, the dumplings are straight up amazing. 20 STARS.

Another TJ’s find that I grabbed. I give this bowl a 7/10. It was fine. I threw a little pico on top and it was a quick and easy lunch. I didn’t totally love it, but I’ll probably still get it again because it was so easy.

COUSIN TIME

Carter has had some good cousin time with both sides of the family. Here he is with my sister’s kids on Thanksgiving day. I’m always floored at how much I think all 3 boys favor each other.

And here he is with Chris’s sisters son a few days later. They always have a great time together at the ranch.

MINI SHOPPING WITH SHEAFFER

I’ve got some finds from Nordstrom and Amazon to share with y’all today.

I’m obsessed with this half zip hoodie that I picked up at Nordstrom. This color is sold out at Nordstrom, but you can still find it HERE. I’m wearing a medium.

And I’m of course wearing it with the must have joggers . Seriously, you MUST own a pair. They are pricey, but they are sooooooo worth it. Great for running around town, great for lounging at home, and great for travel days. For size reference, I’m wearing a small.

This cardi has a relaxed fit and is a cozy wool blend. This color isn’t on sale, but there are a couple of colors that are right now. For size reference, I’m wearing a small.

This oversized cardi is ON SALE! It’s a beautiful soft lilac, but it also comes in beige, black, and a soft blue. It’s got a ribbed texture and a relaxed fit. For size reference, I’m wearing a small.

This diamond pattern takes this classic crewneck and kicks it up a notch. It’s so soft and a cute fit that’s between fitted and relaxed. It comes in this vibrant pink, a soft pink, a soft grey, and a white. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.

I showed you the puffer last month with a sweatshirt and joggers, but it’s also of course cute with a sweater and jeans.

I love that it isn’t super puffy, and the colors totally caught my eye. This one is the “rosewood/sea green”, but there’s also a “storm blue/sea blue” with a mustard stripe that is a total vibe! I love both. It has excellent reviews. For size reference, I’m wearing the small, but I think I need a medium.

I showed this sweater in blue last month, but I ordered this color for a birthday gift for a friend because I knew she would love it. I of course tried it on and took a picture before wrapping it up. 🙂

This 1/4 zip sweater is AWESOME and it’s ON SALE (already on sale AND a coupon)! Now, it will of course be great with jeans, but since it’s long enough I wanted to style it with leggings. If you’re over 5’4″ it probably won’t work with leggings, but it’s great for me. Super soft and it comes in 21 colorways (some stripes and some color blocking). I’m wearing a medium here, but I’m actually going to order the “navyrose” in a small to wear with jeans. I can’t resist navy with a hot pink stripe. I was powerless.

Everybody loves a good lounge set. This one is kind of a thinly ribbed sweater material. You could totally wear it out of the house. I’m wearing a medium.

I showed this tote several weeks ago, but I wanted to show it again!

My friend Lindsey at The Motherchic started a company called Capital Z with her sister, and they have designed and produced some really incredible totes, cross body bags, card cases, and hats.

She sent me this “You Can Have It All” tote and I’m in love with it. It is beautifully made of real leather and can be worn as a classic tote or cinched in like I have it below for more of a bucket bag look. And how fun and unique is the design! The leather is so soft, it has a magnetic closure, and it has a built-in laptop sleeve with a couple of interior pockets as well.

It’s back…..but I’m sure it will sell out again, so grab this Calpak duffle bag while you can! I have it in Rose-Quartz, but it also comes in black and beige. The material is soft and the bag is incredibly spacious with so many pockets. You will be SHOCKED at how much you can pack into this baby! Go read the reviews and you will be convinced.

The huggie earrings are tiny and sparkly, perfect to wear with everything. They’re huggies, so the post doesn’t stick out the back. You can talk on the phone with them in and sleep in them without any trouble. They won’t poke you at all.

I always get lots of questions about my cross necklace. It was a Christmas gift last year from Chris, and I wear it every single day. I found one that’s super similar HERE, and it’s only $41 right now.

But really, this bag is fantastic. My girlfriend Cassie started talking about it years ago, but I just now took the plunge. I was thinking it would be a great gym bag, but Cassie (who travels all the time) actually sings its praises as a travel bag. Like I said, the back of the bag has a sleeve that allows it to slip onto the handles of a carry-on suitcase very easily (see on site).

For me, it’s going to be a perfect bag to pack for the ranch for long weekends.

My sneakers are super lightweight, super cute, and super comfortable. That’s all I really know about them (because that’s all I really need to know). 🙂 They would make a great gift too!

I cannot believe that I’m about to say this, but this is the first Stanley cup I’ve ever owned. I actually tried to order a striped version a while ago, but it was canceled before I received it. I grew up in Alabama, but when I got married, my husband and I moved to Oregon. Our kids weren’t exposed to a lot of Southern words and phrases, and once on a visit back home, my dad told our daughter that he thought she favored her mother. She looked so confused and told him that she loved both of her parents equally!😂 Still makes me laugh!
