I thought I would take the opportunity today to recycle an outfit (and a story) from last summer. This outfit originally posted on August 24th, 2012. I started the blog August 14th, so I was just a little baby blogger. It was my 4th outfit to recreate.
I think it’s safe to say I had about 7 readers back then. So since I’m guessing around 99.8% of you haven’t seen this outfit combo yet, I thought it was worth a repeat!
and I had never worn the color combo before
I’ve worn it LOTS and LOTS since – and it still feels fresh to me!
Necklace: J Crew outlet, out of stock
Orange Shell: J Crew outlet, out of stock
Orange and Brown Belt: Loft, out of stock
White Jeans: 1969 Gap Jeans, exact HERE
Isn’t the combo so summery and fun?
Outfit #1
This one is my absolute favorite.
It has my favorite jacket and wedges in it, and I love the coral maxi dress options.
And everybody and their dog is obsessed with Kendra Scott jewelry.
I think it’s time I need to step up my game and become obsessed too!
Coral spaghetti strapped maxi dress HERE.
Kendra Scott tassel necklace HERE.
Kendra Scott earrings HERE.
A plus size coral maxi dress option HERE.
Denim jacket HERE.
(Remember, the model in the pic has on a jacket that looks too big for her which makes it look sloppy. The jacket is much more fitted (and modern) if bought in the right size.
Putty wedges HERE.
Outfit #2
Great spring/summer sweater HERE.
White 1969 jeans HERE.
Loft pendent necklace HERE.
I tried this necklace on last week, and it is awesome.

Kendra Scott tassel necklace again HERE.
These wedges are on sale, and they are greatness! The reviews on them are awesome, and they are selling out quickly at the sale price. Not all sizes are left, but you may get lucky! If you don’t like the putty wedges (for whatever unknown reason that may be!), then maybe these are for you!

So bright and cheerful, the perfect (and comfy) addition to so many summer outfits. Remember, if ordering crocheted TOMS, it is suggested to order 1 full size down (because they stretch).

*Wit and Wisdom stretch jeans in WHITE or MINT on sale HERE.*
I tried these exact jeans on, and I really liked them! All of my jeans must have stretch in them, and these fit the bill!
(This is the same maker as my beloved denim jacket, but it’s MINT. And it’s ON SALE for 40% OFF making it just about $40!

I hope this post inspired you to rock the coral and mint combo yourselves!
I know that I’ll be wearing it for a long time!
—————————————————————————————————————————–
Okay…so this is totally random…but when looking for a previous outfit to highlight today, I ran across this story that I told last summer.
It’s classic.
Here goes nothin’….
be meeting at the pool the next day to see if either one of them had a
clutch for me to borrow.
Decisions, decisions.
It’s okay if you are TOTALLY jealous, because you TOTALLY should be.
🙂
but I still had a flipping blast.
SO snazzy in my designer accessories (and I only had a small coronary
when the Chanel fell on the floor at one point).
so many neat little touches. One of those touches being a signature
wedding shot (an absolutely delicious signature wedding shot), which
just might have something to do with what I’m about to tell you.
Dangit.
at 2:00 a.m. in the morning.….
in a fedora no less…..
to a mother who trusts me with her sweet child as his therapist.
NOT. COOL.
But…..
maybe a little funny.
;0
THANK HEAVENS, the mama was cool with it.
When I texted her the next morning apologizing,
she just blew it off and said she would use it as blackmail material.
🙂
SO thankful for that mama and her sense of humor!
Go forth, and wear coral and mint!
Oh wait!
passion for prints are shown through every detail in her clothes, such
as the ribbon trims, stretched fabric, and cuffed sleeves.
Here are some examples! I Know! Darling!

I remember that pic of you in all those accessories! I must have been one of the 7! I remember thinking, "This is my kind of girl." And I was so right! xxx

Love the color combo! Such a funny story, probably not at at the time it happened but too funny now! I think we all have some of those stories 😉
Jen {Whimsy at Heart} says
I still haven't mixed mint & coral. You've inspired me to do it because that Kendra Scott necklace is just what I need to get the look!
Jenny Rackers says
I love love love my Kendra Scott tassel necklace! Worth the money. You can dress it up or down. So glad you featured some Kendra Scott stuff….I love it!!
Alison @ Get Your Pretty On says
Hahaha! Well, I guess the pic could've been worse. That's an awesome story! I may have been one of your 7 readers back then but I don't remember that outfit. Coral and mint are perfect together!
Jennifer Cannon says

I love coral because for me, it's pretty without being pink! On a completely unrelated note, my mom had never been in the Loft they have. So we went on Saturday and I ended up gettting 2 new shirts. I have to say thank you for introducing me to Loft. I always thought it was way out of my price range but their sales are LEGIT! I may only buy during sales but I love their stuff!
Elaine~ Honey Pie Accessories says
I am obsessed with coral right now! I have coral sandals, jewelry, shorts, and a coral tank! And that is so funny that you texted a therapy mom instead! It's something I would totally do after a few shots to many!
Amy Florez says
I remember that story! Still as funny, and uncomfortable, as the first time around. I especially appreciate it since I was a speech therapist many moons ago!

You kill me….in a good way!!! Thanks for all the fashion inspiration!! LOVE LOVE LOVE that first look you put together. Right up my alley!!
{Hi Sugarplum!} says
I totally remember that story and cute outfit — so I must have been one of the original 7!!
Sarah Tucker says
This story is freaking hilarious! In college, a girl on my softball team was texting her fiance and our coach at the same time. She must have got the two confused at one point and texted something super saucy to our coach instead of her fiance!! Those late night texts can get ya sometimes 🙂
