Mascara is hard, y’all. I’ve probably tried at least 20 different mascaras in my lifetime, and I’ve really liked a couple of them (most recently, I tried and loved this MAC mascara and thought I had finally settled on a mascara)….but I ran out of my MAC and had to just run to the drugstore to get some a couple of weeks ago.  I picked this tube up, and I have to say, I’m a fan!  It doesn’t go on clumpy, and it seems to both separate and lengthen my lashes!!! It’s by Maybelline, and it’s called “Pumped Up Colossal Volume Express”. #maybeshesbornwithit #maybeitsmaybelline #icrackmyselfup

Look.  I even did a before and after for y’all!  This is a little bit scary just seeing my eyes all sorts of in your face, but I wanted you to see the mascara at work.  What can I say, I’m a giver. 😉  My eye on the left has the mascara…and my eye on the right does not.  I reduced the size of the picture to hopefully make it less frightening.  😉  I think the mascara does a nice job, and if I remember correctly it was under $8!

FAVORITE #2: SCALLOPED TANK

I got so many nice comments about THIS top on Wednesday’s post.   I was drawn to it because of the scallops, but everybody else absolutely loved the color!  It really is just a great top!

When I first showed you this necklace on Wednesday, I mentioned that they would make great Mother’s Day gifts if your budget wasn’t huge!  For $18 this is a very pretty little necklace!  I truly love it!  And then yesterday I had a thought, THESE TASSEL NECKLACES would also make incredible end of the year teacher gifts!  The necklace also comes in white and black.

I had a couple of readers ask me if I would wear the above top with regular blue jeans…so I tried it….and the answer is YES!  I totally would!  It would also look great with black pants or a pencil skirt!  The material and cut make it really dressy if you want it to be, but it looks good with distressed jeans and wedges as well!

FAVORITE #3:  The Boden Love continues…

In Part I of my kid’s post with Nordstrom, I talked about our love of Boden and Natives.  In part II today, the Boden love continues.  And even though the little guy would prefer to always have on elastic-waist pants (and I totally get that, so that is what he wears most often), sometimes mama wins and gets him in a collared shirt and cute little shorts. #momwin I love how THIS SHIRT has a striped lining on the collar.  Sadly, the shirt is almost sold out :(, but I’m hoping for a re-stock!  I’ll be for sure to let you know if it happens!

FAVORITE #4: A GOOD CROSS BODY BAG 

So y’all know I love a cross body bag.  There is something about being hands free that is liberating.  Dramatic?  Maybe.  #butistandbymystatement #LIBERATING  😉

I love the pale blush pink of THIS studded cross body.  I also like the shape, the size, the tassel, and the studs!  And at $48.95, it doesn’t break the bank.  It comes in a soft grey and a black as well.

And THIS one is a great cognac color for everyday.  Again, I like the size, color, and shape….and I really love the perforated “leather”.  This is a great medium sized bag.

FAVORITE #5:  BAREFOOT DREAMS

Everybody knows I go bonkers for Barefoot Dreams…so when I saw earlier this week that the circle cardigan (what we call the baby blardigan) now comes in a soft grey color, I knew y’all needed to be informed.  I mean, two years ago at Christmas I gave a blardigan to my sister, my sister-in-law, my mom, my mother-in-law, and a grandmother BECAUSE THEY ARE THE BEST GIFT EVER.  And last Christmas I gave one to my 7 year old son.  Seriously.  I’m telling you, if you haven’t given one to your mom yet, and you really want to get her something awesome, get her a blardigan (if you’re new around here, we call it a blardigan because it’s a perfect combination of a blanket and a cardigan) or a baby blardigan (that has pockets!).  Or if you don’t have one yet, send this to the father of your children and say “Number 6, Honey.  Make it happen.”  😉

FAVORITE #6:  MY CORK WEDGES ARE ON SALE!

A reader (thank you, Holly!) just let me know this morning that my cork wedges are ON SALE!!! Girls, if you don’t have them, get them! They are VERY comfy, and as you’ve noticed on my blog, they go with pretty much everything!  They are easily dressed up or down, and I just love them!  Make sure you size up a 1/2 size. If you have wide feet, a couple of different readers have suggested to go ahead and size up a full size!
