It’s Friday, so y’all know what that means! It’s time to link up with Erika and Andrea to let everybody know what some of my favorite things are right now.

TWO OF MY FAVORITES
These two guys are favorites for sure. To be totally honest, we’re still having a rough time over here after losing our sweet Buddy, but our sweet Charlie keeps us smiling. Charlie has had a rough time too. He wasn’t himself for a couple of months, and we were having difficulty getting him to eat, but this last week he has made tremendous progress with his eating and his overall energy and demeanor. We are just so happy that he’s close to back to normal. We love him so much.

MY MOM
My mom is of course a favorite; has been my whole life. 😉
We met for lunch this week for Mother’s Day, and I loved getting to spend some one-on-one time with her. She’s the best. (And here’s a plug for Colleen Rothschild products… she almost exclusively uses Colleen’s skin AND hair products. AND THE WOMAN IS 78. Doesn’t she look amazing?)

NEW AMAZON FINDS
This embroidered top is absolutely a favorite new find! I think this black is festive, but I also really love the pale powder blue option. The fabric is lightweight and breathable, and the embroidery and rick rack is just so much fun. The deep v and the longer sleeves are very flattering. I love this top. For size reference, I wear a medium.
embroidered top / turquoise earrings / matte gold bracelet stack / colorful beaded bracelet stack / distressed denim cut-offs / raffia sandals
This eyelet top has near perfect reviews, and I totally understand why. It’s darling. The fabric has some weight to it, it’s fully lined, and it’s not stiff or itchy at all. The eyelet is pretty and feminine, and the flutter sleeves are just lovely. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.
The linen drawstring shorts are a lightweight linen with pull on styling, so they are super comfortable. The perfect rise, the perfect elastic waist with a functional drawstring, and the perfect length. The link says they are a 4″ inseam, but they definitely seem longer on. They’re classy and casual, but they can easily be dressed up or down. These are the “flax”, but they also come in white, a blue stripe, and a pink stripe. I think the flax is perfection. I’m afraid that the white might be too sheer, but they are worth a try if you’re specifically looking for a pair of white shorts. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium for a relaxed fit.

This flutter sleeve top also has a pretty eyelet pattern and a split neck, but it has a swingy fit. The green is also gorgeous. It’s a beautiful Kelly green and would look amazing with white jeans. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.

LADIES! CHECK THIS OUT! I was inspired by a $148 Free People dress/skirt piece last year, but I found these on Amazon AND LOVE THEM. And they are a fraction of the price! For right at $35 you can get almost the exact same look as the Free People inspiration.
And really, THIS SKIRT IS FABULOUS. It’s seriously fantastic. This one is the “apricot”, but it comes in 12 wonderful color and pattern options. The wide waistband is smocked and is so comfortable. The skirt is so flowy and easy to wear. For size reference, I’m wearing a small. The smocking makes it very forgiving.
Here it is as a skirt, which is the more traditional way to wear it.
white tee / denim jacket / maxi skirt/ dress / straw tote / chunky hoop earrings / gold bracelet stack / studded sandals
And here it is as a midi dress! I’m not sure how it would look worn as a dress on its own, but you know I will always style it with a denim jacket.

Here’s the same skirt, but this is the “apricot rose red flower”. I actually got this for my mom last year and she loves it. Again, I’m wearing a small.

And here it is worn as a dress…

FRESH FLOWERS
Fresh flowers are always a favorite. I got these for Mother’s Day, and they still look this good!

AMAZON HOME
The home items on Amazon are soooo good, and everything featured in this collage would be perfect to help refresh your home for spring! Recently my Amazon Home purchases have really knocked my socks off. In fact, both my sister and I have found ourselves super pleased with some really fabulous home finds over the last several years.
Here are some of y’alls top picks! And no surprise here, they were some of our top picks as well!
1) antelope pillow covers / 2) olive branches / 3) kitchen towels / 4) white forsythia wreath / 5) jewelry box / 6) towel set / 7) hand towel set / 8) electric candle lighter / 9) wooden bowl / 10) sheet set / 11) silk pillowcase / 12) textured lamp / 13) earring holder / 14) faux olive tree / 15) acrylic shelf dividers / 16) velvet hangers / 17) animal print throw / 18) basket / 19) round rattan tray / 20) decorative rope balls / 21) canvas print wall art
Some of the items in the collage above were just items I found and highlighted for y’all, even though I didn’t buy them myself. For example, I highlighted the jewelry box (#5) because I thought it was very similar to my much more expensive Kendra Scott jewelry box. Well, y’all bought the Amazon version and LOVED IT! I received tons of messages from you guys about how fabulous it is.
This forsythia wreath was such a great score for my sister! I love that she stuck with the white scheme when choosing the wreath for her front door.
Look how pretty it is!

But really, THAT NEW SHAMPOO AND CONDITIONER! I was convinced it would not live up to the original…and I was wrong.
Erika Slaughter says
Every time I see your mom I think someone MUST have put the year wrong on her birth certificate! She cannot be 78!
Julie says
Just wondering if Doggy Daycare , a few days a week, would help ?
Sheaffer says
Hi, Julie! That’s a great suggestion, and I think it would be a perfect idea for most dogs! Charlie tends to have a bit of separation anxiety though, so I’m not sure if it would be a good fit for him. Might be worth a try though! Thanks for the comment and idea! xoxo
