HAIR PRODUCTS AND APPLIANCES

I’ve had a lot of questions lately about how I’m doing my hair now, and although I’m still trying out different styling products (that y’all recommended on ig), I will tell you that I have settled on a curling iron.

This 1″ curling iron gives me the exact beachy and relaxed curls I want. It’s lightweight, it has a nice long barrel if you have long hair, and the clamp doesn’t give my hair a bend or wrinkle I don’t want. It’s awesome!

Next Wednesday I hope to share the products that I’ve settled on, but I’m telling you, if you’re in the market for a new curling iron, get this one.

A HANDFUL OF MORE AMAZON ITEMS

This white eyelet dress is adorable. ADORABLE. It’s 100% cotton, fully lined, and can easily be dressed up or down. It’s well made and I love the fit. I mean, there’s just not much better than a white eyelet dress in the summer. It’s so classic. It also comes in black. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.

I’m dying because this robe was sent to me a while ago. I hung it on a hook in my closet and forgot about it for months. Well, I put it on a couple of months ago AND FELL IN LOVE. The jersey knit is soooo stretchy, so comfy, and feels great against my skin (it almost feels cooling).

I showed it to you back in April, but showing it again felt right because I basically have it on every single day.

Now if you remember, when I first went to grab the link for it back in April, I realized it’s a maternity robe. 🙂

BUT HERE’S THE DEAL.

I had no idea.

It’s so stretchy, that I have no doubt that it would work with a bump and be fantastic post-partum, but I love it and will be continuing to wear it! I’m wearing the “vintage pink robe”, but it comes in lots of colors/patterns.

This eyelet top is super cute and super stretchy. Smocked up top, little flutter sleeves, and a lacy look through the body. Great all summer, but when styled with red, white, and blue – perfect for the 4th! I’m wearing a small here and it’s pretty body conscious, so I think I would prefer the fit of the medium.

Okay, this top was absolutely terrible on me, but I’m sharing it still because I think some of you will love it! When you take my boobs and my enormous rib cage, the top didn’t fit AT ALL. However, if you are flatter chested, I think this top will be super cute on you!

How fun is this dress!

I’m wearing the “pink” here, and it’s a beautiful combo of varying shades of pink, orange, cream, and lilac. It comes in 10 other color combos too, so there’s something for everybody. You can see it’s smocked through the chest with subtle puff sleeves and a cute little ruffle on the cuff. The rest of the dress is flowy and relaxed, which I love. I order a lot of stuff from Amazon, so when these next 2 dresses came in, I didn’t even remember ordering them.

I tried it on, styled it kind of dressy, and thought it was pretty cute even though the material is pretty thin.

But then when I went back to my order history to grab the link, I realized that I had it styled it all wrong! As you see on the link, it should be a much more relaxed fit and styled much more casually.

For it to fit like it does on the model on the site, I definitely need to try it in a medium. I got a small because it looked like it was going to be super loose and a very relaxed fit, but it didn’t fit me like that at all. I’m hopeful that the medium will fit me more like it does on the model because I think it’s so cute! I want it to be much more swingy and casual.

This racerback striped maxi is too clingy for my liking, but if you clingy and body conscious (I know some of you look great in this style), you’ll love this dress! It is super comfy because although body conscious, it’s not uncomfortable or restrictive at all. It would be a great little travel dress. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.

This is a dress that I saw on another influencer, and although it’s not a dress I would typically gravitate towards, I was influenced because it was so cute on her! It’s a cotton/poly blend, so it’s super soft and lightweight. If this pattern is too bold and out there for you, it comes in solid colors as well. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.

This dress is gorgeous and could definitely work for lots of different occasions, including a summer wedding option. I’m wearing the “pink print” here, but it comes in tons of other colors and patterns. I really is very pretty with the smocked top, the puffed sleeves, and the tiered skirt.

Yellow isn’t a color that I typically gravitate towards, but I like how this dress is bright and happy. When I ordered it, I actually thought it was more of a mustard, but it’s definitely a sunshine yellow. It is kind of low cut, but I really like the fit. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.

FESTIVE HOME DECOR

I’ve been showing tons of outfit ideas for the 4th, so I thought I would take a second to share some festive home decor as well!

Now listen, after I put the #3 adorable red striped bowl in the collage, when I was grabbing the link I realized that the interior bottom of the bowl has a holly leaf. OOPS. So the bowl is actually Christmas themed, but hey, nobody will know that if it’s full of pasta salad or chips. 🙂

I’m completely smitten with this watercolor split neck top. It’s lightweight, has a swingy babydoll fit, and is the most gorgeous combination of colors. It features a split neckline with ruffle detail, short balloon sleeves, and a relaxed babydoll silhouette. Wear it out, wear it with a 1/2 tuck, wear it with regular denim, wear it with white denim, just wear it! For size reference, I’m wearing a medium. These Risen jeans are always in my Top 5 jeans in my closet, no matter what time of year. Stretchy, comfy, and look super similar to my much more expensive Mother denim. Most people size down in these, but I wear my regular size 27.

I’m obsessed with these studded sandals and have been for a couple of months now. They are so comfortable with the cushioned footbed, and they are so stylish with the studs. They totally remind me of my Marc Fisher sandals from last year. I do recommend sizing up a 1/2.

This dress isn’t right for me, but I think some of y’all will be darling in it. It doesn’t fit me right on my boobs, but again, if you’re flatter chested I think it will be great on you!

CAPRI BLUE FOR THE WIN

Okay, ladies! I’ve talked about a couple of different counter sprays from Amazon, and I’ve loved them. But I just started using this Capri Blue Cleaner and it is NEXT LEVEL. SOME MORE NORDSTROM FINDS

I know lots of y’all know and love the CeCe brand, especially for dresses, and this floral dress is a great one. It’s sweet, girly, and feminine. Dress it up with wedges or dress it down with sneakers. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.

Do you know that Nordstrom has a small “Family Moments” line? This long floral dress is part of the line, which means there are coordinating items for your family. This dress has a very feminine cut and a beautiful floral pattern. It’s fitted at the top with a smocked back, which makes it very comfortable. The sleeves have a subtle ruffle, and there’s a ruffle at the waist too. The skirt is long and flowy. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.

Also from the “Family Moments” line, this floral cotton dress is 100% cotton, sweet, and flirty. And I actually think it’s kind of fabulous. For size reference, I’m wearing a small.

Y’all know I’m a big ol’ fan of Vuori. This tee and these shorts are my new favorite summer Vuori pieces. I think the “papaya” shorts are so fun for summer. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium in both.

Tennis skirts are all the rage right now, and this little skirt is super cute with built in shorts. I love this lilac color for summer, but it also comes in navy and black. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.

SOME FAVORITE BEAUTY FINDS – REVIEW

This Maria Badescu drying lotion is a product I was #influenced to try, and now I can’t live without it. The second I notice a blemish popping up, I dip a q-tip in the bottle (don’t shake the bottle up – keep the pink liquid on the bottom), pick up some of the pink solution, and dab it on the blemish. Carter uses it too, and it works wonders!

The NYX pore filler has been a game changer for me. I first found it when doing a sponsored beauty post with Macy’s years ago, and I fell in love. I have large pores on my nose, and this products “fills” them and filters them for a much smoother look. So, I ordered the first time from Macy’s, but all subsequent times I’ve ordered on Amazon. If you struggle with pore size, order this product immediately! It’s like a filter for your face!

Kenra blow dry spray was a product originally introduced to me by Amanda, my hair stylist. She sprayed it in my hair before starting to blow dry it, and I couldn’t get over how great it smelled. This was years ago, and I’ve been using it ever since.  It gives heat protection, it reduces drying time, it adds shine, AND DID I MENTION IT SMELLS AWESOME?

GRAPHIC TEES

Gosh I love a good graphic tee.

All of the graphic tees you see below are a size medium. HOWEVER, some of them are a bit clingy. I follow an influencer on instagram who is an itty bitty little thing, and she orders larges in tees and sweatshirts like this for an oversized and relaxed fit. When I saw her doing it, I decided that in the future I’m going to start doing this as well. Because I tell ya this, I despise a clingy t-shirt.

Also, please keep this in mind when checking out all of these adorable tees…if you like the design, but not the color, most of them come in MULTIPLE color choices.
