HACKING UPDATE

WELP.

I’m still hacked, girls.

I still don’t have control of my Sheaffer Told Me To Facebook page.

Now listen, there have been some changes. Up until Tuesday, my page was still searchable, I just didn’t have control of it. As of Wednesday, if you search “Sheaffer Told Me To” on Facebook, there’s no page found. I’m VERY HOPEFUL that this is a good sign. Maybe Facebook has taken back control of the page from the hackers, and maybe the next step is restore control back to me?!? MAYBE???? Good heavens I hope this is the case.

SOME MORE GREAT DRESSES

I’ve got several dresses for y’all today from several different retailers (including Nordstrom, Amazon, J Crew, and Walmart)!

I love this dress so much that I plan on highlighting it in a sponsored post next week.

But since I’m afraid that it might sell out before that post goes live, I’m going to go ahead and talk about it today.

These pictures don’t do it justice. IT IS FABULOUS. It gives total J Crew vibes, and I would totally pay $128 for it at J Crew. BUT YOU DON’T HAVE TO. Instead, you can grab this baby for ONLY $28!!!

It’s a classic shift that is very well made. I love the split neck, the longer sleeve length (with an elasticized cuff), and the pockets. The fit is PERFECT, and this orange and pink floral pattern is DARLING.

There’s also a tiny powder blue and green check, a chambray option, and a navy and white floral option.

Cue up the country charm in a tiered dress covered with calico blooms and cut to a leggy length.

When I read the above description, I was like YESSS. This dress has some serious country charm. It’s giving Little House On The Prarie Vibes, and I actually really love it. Ruffle sleeves, a drawstring waist (that ties on the side), a tiered skirt, and a tiny floral pattern. It’s all so good and it’s a sweet little dress. For size reference, I’m wearing a small.

I took this picture just yesterday, but this dress is one of my favorites from last year. After my Amazon post last week where I highlighted lots of dresses, I had a reader ask me about this dress because she remembered me highlighting it last year. She didn’t buy it last year, but she was wanting to know if I still had it and still recommended it.

YES and YES!!!

I still own it in both this “floral red” and the “floral green”, and it actually comes in 8 additional colors as well. It’s lined, has a totally easy breezy fit, and I think it’s so easy to wear. It pairs great under a denim jacket too.

Nobody asked me about this dress, but they should have! 😉 It’s from last year as well, but I took a new pic yesterday to prove that this is another dress from my past that I still own and love.

This shirt dress is great for everybody, but I think it’s perfect for teachers! It would be good for nursing mamas too because the buttons are functional. This is the beautiful “grass green”, but it comes in 18 colors so there’s something for everybody! For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.

It’s a new picture, but this striped sundress was actually my Easter dress last year! Y’all know me, so y’all know I always paired it with a denim jacket or cardi. As I said, I wore it to church Easter Sunday, but it would also be great on a beach vacation. For size reference, I’m wearing a 6.

I showed this top in some mirror selfies on Wednesday’s blog post, but I thought it deserved some outdoor styled shots too. BECAUSE IT’S DARLING.

This embroidered babydoll top has a super swingy fit and gorgeous embroidery. It’s 100% cotton and beautifully made. The embroidery combines red, lilac, orange, and a creamy white. I most often wear mediums in tops like this from THML because I find there is very little give through the chest. I’m wearing a medium here, but I definitely need a small. There’s definitely room in the chest for me to size down, and I need it to be a little less wide through the body.

While creating outfits for Monday’s outfit planning post, I found this floral blouse and knew immediately that I had to have it. After putting it in my cart, I decided to do some more shopping at J Crew, and I found several things I wanted to try.

This gauzy dress is super cute, super soft, and super comfortable. It’s got a little bit of a thickness to it, so it’s not see-through at all. I’m wearing a medium petite here (I’m 5’4″), and it’s definitely short on me, but I happen to like it short. And while I think this green is a lot of fun, I actually think I’m going to exchange it for the black one. I’d forgotten about my shirt dress above, and the greens are so similar, it doesn’t make sense for me to have both. I think the black one will be cute with flat sandals, with wedges, with flip flops, and even with cute little sneaks! It also comes in white and pink.

This gauzy blouse is such a pretty color, and I love the relaxed fit. It has near perfect reviews, and I totally agree with everybody that it’s awesome. It’s a little bit thinner than the gauze dress above, which I like for a top. I haven’t washed it yet, but the reviewers say that it launders perfectly. And really, if you need convincing, go read the reviews. Everybody loves this shirt. It’s also 40% OFF right now with the code SPRING.

I haven’t owned a pair of khaki shorts that I love in years. I’m not sure why, I just haven’t. I’m excited to have these chino shorts in my closet now! They are a great closet staple.

For size reference, I’m wearing a size 4, but they are pretty dang snug. I’m thinking I would be much more comfortable in the 6. If your tummy isn’t your problem area, you should be able to stick with your normal size. Heads up: these don’t have much stretch, even though they are called “stretch chino shorts”.

If you’re a gal that has always loved and always worn the J Crew chino shorts, you should update your shorts wardrobe with these patch pocket chino shorts. These have a bit more stretch in them, so my regular size 4 works fine, and the big patch pockets are totally on trend. These are shorter with a 3″ inseam, so keep that in mind.

Okay, let’s all ooh and ahh over this floral blouse. The above top is a great closet basic to have for sure, but this floral blouse is special. It’s an outfit maker. The colors and the pattern are both absolutely gorgeous. Notice the ruffle at the neckline and the puff sleeves! The cut is boxy, so although you can wear it out, I think it looks better with a half tuck. For size reference, I’m wearing a small.

I’m in the middle of working on a super comprehensive denim shorts review post, and these cuffed denim shorts are one of my favorite pairs in the post. They are from Wit and Wisdom, so they have the ‘Ab’solution technology to shape, smooth and lift in all the right places. They are super flattering, while still managing to be super comfy. I’m wearing my regular size 4.

LAST MIDDLE SCHOOL DANCE

The boys in these next pictures are my FAVORITES.

Last Friday was Carter’s last middle school dance, and all of us mammas made plans to meet to grab a handful of pics beforehand.

I’m sorry, but how cute is this group!

They are great kids, and I’m so thankful for them!

#INVISALIGNBROS

When I looked at the pic above, I zoomed in on Carter and his friend Campbell because I thought they looked like brothers. I texted it to his mama, told her that, and she said she had just said the same thing to her husband! And then her daughter said it too! 🙂

Both of them started Invisalign thru Crossley orthodontics back in December, so I posted the pic on ig and tagged the office. Haha!

And I thought now would be the perfect time for me to share a couple of products that I’ve purchased for Carter since he started Invisalign.

He uses the Ultrasonic UV cleaner every couple of days, and his aligners come out sparkling clean and totally free of any nasty bacteria! I still wear my Invisalign retainers every night, so I ended up getting one for me that I keep in my bathroom as well. It actually makes more sense for me, whereas he gets new ones every couple of weeks, I’m wearing my same ones over and over again. On the days we don’t use the ultrasonic cleaner, we try to use the Retainer Brite Cleaning Tablets! An easy option for cleaning them. Just drop a tablet in water in a solo cup! That’s how we do it anyways.
