Today is a whole lot of random that I want to share with you ladies!
1)
FALL CLOTHES
You are about to start seeing me blog fall outfits.
Yes, it’s still in the 90s where I live.
BUT…
I LOVE FALL CLOTHES.
FALL CLOTHES ARE MY FAVORITE.
I’M BESTIES WITH FALL CLOTHES.
Now is when we are all starting to buy for fall (except those of us that started back in July during the anniversary sale!), so even though I’m not necessarily wearing all of these items out of the house yet, I am trying them out for posts. Plus, I am just sick and tired of summer clothes. Sick. And tired.
Chris and I had to go sign closing papers for the house (yeah – we move in two weeks!), and I did wear this next outfit out of the house.
This to me is the perfect early fall outfit.
(Yes, it’s still HOT outside, but since it’s September, I feel like I can pull off a light weight long sleeve shirt every now and then. Besides, I’m cold everywhere I go!)
similar gingham shirt from GAP HERE, signature necklace c/o BaubleBar HERE, rayne necklace c/o Kendra Scott found HERE and at Nordstrom HERE, gold earrings c/o Gorjana HERE, leopard belt similar HERE, jeans similar HERE, nude patent flats HERE
cushion cut bracelet c/o Accessory Concierge HERE
PERFECT FALL OUTFIT, RIGHT?
I initially put on the magenta necklace with the outfit, but I switched it to turquoise before leaving the house. I thought the turquoise was a bit more unexpected to pair with the blue, and I liked it a lot!
Which do you prefer?
Turquoise or Magenta?

Now that fall is approaching, I’ve started receiving e-mails from some of you girls asking me about my military jackets. Some of you are looking to buy your first military jacket this fall (can I just say IT’S ABOUT DANG TIME!) and some of you are wanting to add a 2nd one to your closet.
I have some options for both of you!
Spoiler alert: I’m already working on a FALL GO TO ITEMS post like the spring
one I did HERE, but geared for fall, and I’m having a lot of fun with
it! You can bet your hiney that a military jacket will be on the OFFICIAL PTMT Fall GO TO Items list.
Sadly, even though I have 3 military jackets (no judgment, I wear all 3 all the time), all of them are sold out. Still, there are lots of current options out there that I love.
I ADORE the jacket you are about to see.
If you already have a military jacket and are looking for a second one, this is the perfect option!
(And if you’re open to the idea of adding a 3rd or 4th one to your closet, e-mail me and let’s be besties.)
Check it out HERE.
OBSESSED.
In fact, I’m obsessed enough that I’m considering buying it. Yes, it would be my fourth, but the black sleeves make it different enough to not make it totally ridiculous. Right?
The fit was great. It was so comfy (not stiff at all), and a great weight (not too light, not too heavy).
I feel like Goldilocks by the way.
It was just right.
Jacket HERE, for size reference I was wearing a small. It’s a GREAT jacket.
LOVE LOVE LOVE the fit of it.
Sweatshirt HERE, jeans similar HERE, nude patent flats HERE
Love the whole outfit. Cozy, cute, and totally put together without trying too hard!
It would be even cuter with my taupe TOMS booties or my new BP booties.
Or if you are interested in a longer one that covers your bum, click HERE.
I’m wearing an x-small in the picture, but it was definitely too small. I needed a small for sure.

cushion cut bracelet c/o Accessory Concierge HERE
If you’re looking for a longer jacket, the price point of this one at $64 is great!

READER E-MAILS!
I really like including e-mails and pics from you ladies every so often in my Friday Favorites! Opening e-mails from all of you that are loving the same things I’m loving is just too much fun!
You guys met Ashley, a sweet reader, a couple of weeks ago, and I’m featuring her again today because she sent me a picture with 3 of my favorite items!
Item #1: the MUST HAVE shirt in grey (Remember to order one size down in the shirt!)
Item #2: the Rayne necklace
Item #3: the new cropped Vigoss jeans
She e-mailed me a little bit ago asking me if they grey MUST HAVE shirt showed wrinkles, and I told her I wasn’t sure. She told me she was going to order it to see, and I told her to let me know her thoughts after she received it, so she did!
Here’s what she had to say:
Hey, the gray must have shirt didn’t wrinkle much at all! I like it!
Ooh, these are the new Vigoss destroyed crop jeans, I really like!
4)
OUR LITTLE MAN!
Carter started Kindergarten last week, and he’s been having the best time!
Sadly, school has already taken it’s toll on him and he got hit HARD with a stomach bug last Thursday. And y’all. I’m pretty sure Chris and I both have PTSD. Words cannot do the situation justice, but yeah, it’s one of those parenting moments we will never forget 🙂
Anwyay, we have been so proud of the little guy!
Here we are with him the first morning!

i LOVE LOVE LOVE your blog. Even though I know they are not appropriate for you, would you consider linking some plus size options to your must have pieces this fall? Some of us curvy & busty gals just cant fit into the juniors section.
Sheaffer says
I will try to start doing this more, it's a great idea!

Aw, I'm sorry to hear you were sick! There are so many bugs going around with school starting. Carter looks adorable on his first day. I loved that article with the questions to ask your kids and asked Ava a few of them yesterday on the way home. We were laughing so hard at the "alien abduction" one. She listed three kids in her classes. 🙂 Hope you have a great weekend and feel 100% better!

Hi I don't know if my other comment worked so if you see this twice just ignore one 😉 Just wanted to say thanks for all the great tips. I found you when searching for good leggings and next thing I know I've ordered not one but two pairs (trying hue and zella, I'm really indecisive) , new booties (Bp Trolley) AND jeans…uh what just happened? I don't feel that bad though, since they are all great basics that go with everything. Thanks again and feel better!
Sheaffer says
Yay Lexi! So glad you found the blog and are enjoying following along!

New reader to your blog and lovin' it! Can you share where the green pants you have on with the popover tunic are from? Thanks!
Sheaffer says
Hi LeAnn! Always happy to hear about new readers! The pants are linked in the third line under #6. However, it looks like they only have a brown color online (not the green color in the picture). Sorry I couldn't find the green ones!
xoxo,
Sheaffer 🙂

That's okay! Thanks for the speedy reply 🙂
