FRIENDS

These two fellas went to the local YMCA to work out on Saturday, and then I took them to an early dinner after their work out. Hanging out and talking with Carter and his friends is so much fun! I love this age and treasure this time.

Carter had his friend Aidan over yesterday to work on an English project together and listening to them work through the questions together was so cool. These boys are really growing up.

BACK IN STOCK

This striped version of this cardi sold out a couple of months ago, but it’s back!

I’ve pulled this long striped cardigan out several times during the super frigid days. It comes in several solids, but I fell in love with this striped version. It’s a rib knit, and it’s super warm and cozy. The solid colors feel very chic to me, so you might want to go that route! For size reference, I’m wearing a small.

SEASONAL FRONT PORCH

I showed y’all my Christmas front porch last month, and for this month and next I ordered some new pillow covers!

The red striped pillow covers (they come in different sizes and packages) and the black and white throw are from the Christmas porch. This week I replaced the red plaid Christmas pillows with these buffalo check pillows with the hearts and flowers! They actually came in a set of 4, but I’m just not using the other two word pillows at this time.

DEMOCRACY JEANS

So I think everybody knows I’m a Wit and Wisdom jeans girl. The fit, the selection, the price point, the comfort….there ARE tons of reasons I love Wit and Wisdom and am always telling y’all to try the brand too. I’m guessing that I’ve worn a pair of Wit and Wisdom jeans in hundreds and hundreds of posts over the years, and I’m not even being dramatic.

A handful of times I’ve also talked about Democracy jeans. I think it was just last year when I first learned that Democracy jeans are from the same maker as Wit and Wisdom. They have lots of the same bells and whistles as Wit and Wisdom jeans (like the Ab-Solution technology), but they are sold at Amazon!

Now, if push comes to shove, Wit and Wisdom will always be my first choice. However, it’s nice to have Democracy as an option. Especially since they are sold on Amazon!

So… I have 3 pairs of Democracy jeans to share with y’all today, and 2 of them are ON SALE.

PAIR #1

You’ve seen this first pair before. These “light blue” jeans are stretchy, flattering, totally comfy, and ON SALE!

More on the jeans in a minute, but let’s talk about the ruffle sweater for a second. Because it’s darling. THE RUFFLE DETAILS ARE DARLING. I also really love the white and the blush pink. For size reference, I’m wearing a small.

So even though these are officially the “light blue” jeans, I definitely think they are more of a medium wash. They do have some distressing, but there are no open holes, which I like. I’m wearing my regular size 4, but most size down if between sizes.   do wish these were shorter on me (I’m 5’4″ with long legs for my height). As you can see below, I have them cuffed a couple of inches in order to be the perfect ankle length on me. I’m actually considering cutting these off at ankle length for a frayed hem.

For those of you that are always asking me for a clean pair of jeans with no distressing, these are a perfect option!

These are the “dark indigo” wash, and they would be really great for those that need a pair of jeans for an office environment as well. There’s absolutely no distressing and they can easily be dressed up!

I’m wearing my regular size 4 in all 3 pairs of Democracy jeans today, but similar to Wit and Wisdom, many people size down because of the extreme stretch. (But don’t worry, they don’t stretch out and sag. They’re magic like that.)

CONNER’S STUDY

My sister Conner and her family just bought a new house! Conner is having such a great time putting her stamp on it, and I’m loving the touches she is adding in each of the rooms. Look at her gorgeous study! (Sadly she doesn’t know the paint color because the previous owners painted this room.)

I wanted to feature some of the items today because they are ALL ON SALE! The entire Ballard site is 20% OFF!

The rug is one of Ballard’s performance rugs, and Conner chose the “glacier” although it comes in “sand” as well. It has near perfect reviews and comes in so many size options. And look how pretty the desk is! I love the little brass feet.

Conner’s painting is a 40×40 pastel sunset on stretched canvas, and she picked the option to have it framed. I think it’s beautiful.

AMAZON BEAUTY PRODUCTS

This past year I started ordering more beauty products on Amazon, and I’ve been really happy with so many of the products I’ve tried. You’ve heard me talk about the pedi tool before because it keeps my heels sooooo smooth, and the Kenra blow dry spray is something I’ve been using AND LOVING for a couple of years now. It smells AMAZING and it really does cut down drying time and tame flyaways. The Hydrasource Conditioning Balm is FANTASTIC. I got hooked on Colleen Rothschild’s conditioning balm a couple of years ago, but it’s been sold out for awhile (distributing issues) and I needed to find a replacement. This balm is so nourishing and makes my hair incredibly soft. I LOVE IT.

The Mighty Patches are something I finally ordered late last year after being #influenced. I saw so many ladies talking about them on ig, so I of course had to order them for myself. And I have to say, they do what they say they are going to do! Mighty Patch is a hydrocolloid sticker that improves the look of pimples overnight. No popping necessary. Just stick it on, get some beauty sleep, and wake up with clearer-looking skin. These mighty little patches have over 70,000 5-star reviews. I like that when I have one on a blemish, it keeps me from messing with the blemish and they really do pull the gunk out! Sorcery I tell you! Now listen, after I wrote my review I looked at the latest review that somebody left on Amazon, and she shared pictures saying the patch burned her face! I’ve used these patches countless times with zero issues, but I still wanted to disclose.

This Chi hair spray is the perfect size for my purse and it’s the perfect hold for my hair. I’ve always used and loved Anastasia brow gel, but I ordered this NYX eyebrow gel to try because it’s so much less expensive (under $6!). It’s an amazing product. I apply the gel after I fill in my brows with an eyebrow pencil, and then this gel holds everything in place! The Ilia Berry Mauve lip gloss and the HAUS clear lip gloss are both pretty glosses (and I love I can throw them in my Amazon cart so easily). I apply Ilia serum highlighter to my cheekbones and it gives a beautiful warm glow without sparkle. It’s very pretty.
