Floral Love

I attended a blogger luncheon at Sissy’s Southern Kitchen last week (more about the actual luncheon on an upcoming post, but HOLY CRAB CAKES!).  I had planned on wearing a little sundress, but it was much colder when I woke up that day than I was expecting….so I quickly scrapped the sundress and reached for a fresh spring combo:  white pants and a floral blouse!  Nordstrom had reached out and asked me to talk about the Vince Camuto brand several weeks earlier, so I had ordered these pieces to try, and I was so glad I had them in my closet because they were perfect for this event!  I’ve accumulated several Vince Camuto pieces over last several years including THIS black jumpsuit (they brought it back after last year because it was so popular!), THESE flats (that I purchased 3 years ago), and THIS pair of pink heels that I got this year for an event (they have fantastic reviews and come in 13 different colors)!  All three pieces I own are true to size, and I’ve been very happy with all of them.

On the morning of the lunch, I met my friend Cassie over at Watter’s Creek so we could drive to Dallas together, and we took advantage of the pretty background and snapped some pictures!

I loved the entire outfit from the abalone earrings down to the cork wedges, but the blouse was really the star of the show.  There are so many things I absolutely love about this top.  The light blush pink color, the floral pattern, the cut of the neckline, and the loose swingy fit (which allowed me to put away a grapefruit cocktail, a crab cake, shrimp and grits, and a bite sized miniature coconut pie)!!!  YES, M’AM!  Here I am wearing it with white dress pants, but it would look great with white jeans as well!  It comes in plus size and a different neckline in the same print is available too!  Lots of options!

I love the white pants as well.  Sadly, they are already almost sold out.  They are ponte knit and soooo comfy, so when they started being price-matched last week, everybody scooped them right up.  They do seem to be fully stocked in charcoal grey.  They are true to size, but if between sizes, I would suggest sizing down.

As mentioned before, it was chilly this particular morning, so I brought my trusty MUST HAVE denim jacket along.  I’m wearing a small in the jacket, so it’s true to size.  It’s fitted, but I wanted it that way.  If you want a more generous fit, I would suggest sizing up 1 size.

Notice the gold bracelet in this shot.  I bought it several weeks ago, and I’ve found myself wearing it almost every day.  It’s simple, will go with everything, and I love the understated bling on it. This bangle has a hinge closure, so you snap it on instead of just slipping it on.  Bangles often times become annoying to me throughout the day because they are too big and always moving, but this one is great.  You can find similar colorful enamel bracelets (like my pink one) HERE.  And if y’all don’t have these cork wedges  yet, fix that now because they are 25% OFF!!!!
