My friend Mel posted something on her blog yesterday that touched my heart.
She introduced us to Anna, a mom who is trying to move forward with an adoption.
Anna’s little boy is far from home.
She tells how she met him 2 years ago and loved him like a momma immediately.
Can you imagine? This is her baby, HER son..and he is so far away.
Let’s all help to bring him home where he belongs.
Click HERE to find out what you can do to help.
It is really SO easy.
Let’s bring this baby home to his forever family!
Before we get started with the DWTS, remember that today is the last day to enter the contest for the ABC Scripture cards. Click HERE now and go enter!
I will announce the winner tomorrow morning. Good Luck!

Listen up people.
I was a bit lazy while writing my recap.
I have no scores for you….no names of dances….just some pictures and brief commentary.
This week has been a doozy for me, and it was all I could do to get a post together at all.
HOWEVER, some of the dances and costumes inspired me, and I have some great things for us all to add to our closets, if we so desire. And just in case you’re wondering, I DO desire! 🙂
I have no idea why the picture is posting so small.
I really really really like Kellie.
I want her to win (even though that means that Derek gets to win too).
Boo. Derrick.
Apparently I hold a grudge. I haven’t been able to forgive him since he was so hard on Kellie in rehearsal earlier in the season.
She is a beautiful dancer and is just precious.
Yep, I love me some Kellie.
Loved her ever since she was on Idol.
***************************************
I have no idea what their first dance was and was unable to find a picture. And since it’s been a long week, I’m not gonna look any further.
This was their 2nd dance.
Kim is cute as can be and I just love her.
Couldn’t find pics of their first dance, but I did find some individual shots of the two.
I have watched Ingo on GH for years (where he plays the dashing Jax).
And while it may be true that I have a little bit of a crush on him….
First of all, I know a lot of you ordered THIS suit (it comes in mint and coral also)!
If you have this suit, please leave a comment saying if you LOVE or HATE it.
All of the reviews online at Nordstrom are glowing…but I am still on the fence so I want your opinions too! It’s hard to shell out this much money for a suit, so I’m anxious to see if you ladies that have it think it is worth it!
(I had a friend at work order it and she is singing it’s praises.)
If any of you want to take a picture of yourselves in this suit and send it to me,
I would love to put it on the bog!
Takers?
And remember, please leave a comment if you have this suit!
Look at THIS absolutely DARLING striped bag.
I think the red is my favorite….but the black might be. I just can’t decide.
Love the canvas. Love the leather handles. Love the size. Love.
I mean, COME ON! This is a great bag!
And look at THIS cover-up!
It has some tribal flavor for sure! And such a good price at under $40!
I am totally picky about my cover-ups, and this totally meets my standards. 🙂
Or what about THIS one? It’s long, strapless, and I think it could easily be worn as a cover-up or a dress. PERFECT for a beach vacay with your man! 🙂
LOVING THIS navy, white, and pink striped number. SO CUTE!
OH MY GOODNESS. THIS little thang can be worn as a skirt or a dress. The black and grey tie-dyed ombre thing is really working for it, and I think it would be just perfect with a white v-neck and a simple necklace.
Now for other swimsuits.
THIS little black and white striped number with a vintage feel caught my eye.
Actually, ModCloth has a huge assortment of retro swimsuits that are oh so cute. Click HERE.
Two really great tankini options:
Love the back on THIS one and the fun colors. I think this could hide a multitude of sins.
THIS one is like a one piece I highlighted a couple of weeks ago. It’s got a fun paisley pattern!
Some bikini options:
Fringe is SO IN! Click HERE for the suit below (comes in black and watermelon).
Reviews say it runs small.
THIS one is still one of my favorites. If I wore bikinis (which I don’t….wish I had the courage, by the way), I would totally wear THIS.
If you have been super blessed up top, THIS suit is perfect for you!
SO CUTE with the tiny polka dots and 26 near perfect reviews.
Apparently, even if you are a 38FF, this suit has you covered. Impressive.
Here is one of the reviews:
I’m a great fan of Freya, swimwear as well
as underwear. If you are a D or bigger cup, you are going to love it
too. I bought this top because I needed a pregnancy bikini, so this was
in fact 2 cups larger than my usual size. For this reason I had some
doubt it would have been as nice and supportive, because we busty ladies
know that the bigger your cup, the ugliest your bras. Not in this case!
Fit as a glove, supports great, it’s stylish and extreme good quality.
I’d say it feels a little bigger than tag size, but that is a plus for
me, since I might still grow. Would definitely recommend this product.
And two plain bandeaux tops HERE and HERE that are lovely.
REMEMBER WHEN ORDERING SWIMSUITS THAT IT IS MOST OFTEN ENCOURAGED TO GO 1 SIZE UP.
Mark and Aly
Am I right?
It was high energy and lots of fun….
Not really.
It did however inspire me to add a little tribal flare to my wardrobe.
The tribal/aztec theme is HUGE right now, but I have nothing in my closet that lends itself to either of these trends at all.
I think I found some great choices.
First up, LOVING THIS bag. Click HERE.
Isn’t it awesome? Totally tribal without being over the top.
My favorite is the black.
Here is what one reviewer wrote:
Check out THIS super cute Lucky Brand t-shirt (only 2 sizes left!).
Or what about some tribal-ish shoes?
I found 2 tribal chic (I just made that up) pair of sandals from Sam Edleman.
HERE (my personal fav) and HERE
Here’s my fav. LOVE the turquoise stone.
I even found a couple of dresses.
This one HERE from Nordstrom (dressy enough to even be worn to a wedding).
Another one HERE that is coral and gorgeous.
This one HERE is from ModCloth.
I think this one could be dressed up or down.
It would be cute with wedges or heels and some great jewelry……
Or, it could be worn with flip flops depending on the occasion.
Great reviews on it, but a few mention it is snug in the chest, so you might want to consider sizing up.
Several reviewers also commented on the fabric saying that it is the perfect year round dress. Perfect in the summer with bare legs and no layers and just as good in fall and winter months with tights and a cardi.
And look at THESE flats that have a little bit of a tribal flare. Love how colorful they are!
(only 4 sizes left)

I don’t know what they danced (do you sense a theme emerging here?, the theme is I pretty much don’t know anything…I watched the show while doing paperwork), but it was the best he’s ever danced.
As a Speech-Language Pathologist, I can only hope she’s gently
reminding him to enunciate his words.
I have a black lace dress that I absolutely adore.
I think it is so classy (and a little bit sexy) at the same time!
THIS lace shirt is totally classic (comes in white or black).
THIS dress is just precious.
THIS dress is gorgeous and just went 33% off!
THIS dress is SUPER sophisticated and has 99 reviews if you want to read about it. Lace top and sleeves with a black (not grey as it looks in the pic) skirt.
The next dance was the jive (I think) and it was awesome.
Oops!
Soooooooooooooooo sorry!!!!!
Looking forward to the finals next week and Dance Center! 🙂

Ok…I didn't watch this week. That show is dead to me ;). However, I'm really kind of sad that I didn't see the silhouette dance…it looked pretty cool just by the picture. I laughed out loud when you said you had a crush on Kym! I do too! And that Afro Jazz dance…just the picture alone scared me. I may have a nightmare about it tonight…

I commented before about this suit, but it is so awesome that I will comment again! I have it in black and LOVE it! It is very flattering on a forty-something, which is a huge endorsement! 🙂 The crochet material is very stretchy and sturdy, which I love. It is revealing and concealing at the same time – does that make any sense? 🙂 Order it, and then just fill in with a couple of Target suits. Or head to Marshalls or TJ Maxx, which is what I did – I got a couple of nice suits (Ralph Lauren) for just $25 a piece. But neither one of them hold a candle to the Nordstrom suit!

Have we talked about how I have that Black Crochet swimsuit from last season. I admit–I don't LOVE it like everyone else does, just kind of "eh". Yes, I shrugged and tilted. 😉 I think I am in the minority there, though!

Because you have not lead me astray yet (yes I have A military jacket, but not THE military jacket, enamel bracelets and the putty wedges!), so, yesterday, I tried on the swim suit. Tried a 4 and a 6… size 6 fit perfectly except up top. I am one of those who "is super blessed up top" to quote you Sheaffer. I wear a size 4 in clothes but am 34 DD up top. Unfortunately, the "bandeau" top is narrow and I was just totally was spilling out the top. So sad because it was an amazing suit 🙁 Thant's my 2 cents!

What happened to your recap on Zendaya and Val performance?
Alison @ Get Your Pretty On says
Oh gosh, you had to bring up swimsuit shopping again. As my arms are so sore from my first Cross Fit class that I can barely type this comment… Curse you, Sheaffer! On the other hand, that crocheted one piece is absolutely adorable, yet sexy at the same time.

Jacoby's second dance was Lindy Hop…. really looks like Jive to me though!

I MUST stop reading your blog, becuase as of now I am purchasing stuff daily. I just picked up that lucky shirt, ordered the Stella and Dot Kimberly necklace and green earring a few days ago and picked up the wedges in putty yesterday. I currently have the one piece swimsuit in my shopping cart..at this rate I'll probably buy it tommorrow! Thanks for all of the great finds!

Me too!!! My husband said he was going to block me from this blog, hahaha!!!!
{Hi Sugarplum!} says
ha! YES enunciate your words please, jacoby!!! Kids and I always look at each other after he talks and go, 'Huh?!?'
Love those Sam Edelman sandals…I'm featuring some in my post tomorrow. #pimp

Okay…so I bought the swimsuit…and I LOVE it. Like TOTALY LOVE IT! But as much as I love it, I have to say…I love the wedges even more. You were so right on about them both. (And please don't tell anybody, but I have the blazer and the military jacket too). Shhhhh! I might be broke, but I look fabulous. Ha!

okay, so, i swear i'm not trying to seem like a crazy stalker :), but I was reading some of your "popular posts", and I think that I saw that you went to Lake Highlands in Dallas? I was a high school Spanish teacher there! 🙂 My husband (who's a pastor now) went to Dallas Theological Seminary, and while we lived in Dallas for 3 years I taught at LH. 🙂
anyway, was just surprised to see you write that! 🙂
and, i'll stop. 🙂 again, thanks for sharing my adoption journey.
