But it goes a little further than that, because all of my friends agree with my self-imposed title.
I just have a knack for finding really cute cover-ups.
FYI: I have no idea why the alignment is messed up all over this post. It looks right in draft mode, so I didn’t know how to fix it! Sorry!
Three years ago I found a little black romper with embroidered flowers THAT I ADORED and a black dress that looked like a short little Mexican dress (children of the 80s, do you remember those that we all had and wore with jellies)? Well, both were dang cute.
And then 2 years ago I found this little beauty. Also from Target.
And it is DIVINE. But it hasn’t been available for over 2 years. Sorry. 🙁
But last year I didn’t find any new ones that I loved.
Actually, the past 2 years I’ve come up short.
And my title was in question.
In the interest of full disclosure, I do feel the need to state that my cover-up standards are HIGH.
I don’t want just any ol’ thing to throw on over my swimsuit.
I want DARLING.
Anyway, I started to question myself. WHERE IN THE WORLD had my cover-up game gone?
I was hopeful this year, but I still wasn’t finding anything I liked. I searched high and low at Target (both in store an online), but nothing caught my interest.
Old Navy – nothing. Macy’s – nothing. Loft – nothing.
(I did find a striped romper that I loved at LOFT…but I couldn’t find my size anywhere.)
I tried on a couple from Nordstrom that I loved online, but they were just “eh” when I actually tried them on. (I do have this one ordered from Nordstrom….it was on back-order when I found it, but I’m supposed to get it next week so I might like that one.)
But even if I don’t end up liking it, it doesn’t matter….because I ordered 3 the other day…
and I ended up liking ALL 3!
HURRY! GIVE ME BACK MY COVER-UP CROWN!
And here’s the kicker, I ordered all 3 online from a place I’d never ordered from before.
Have y’all heard of Joe Fresh?
It’s basically a J-Crew vibe, with Target-ish prices.
(If the marketing director for Joe Fresh wants to call me after that description to put me on payroll, I would totally get it.) 😉
I have a sponsored post coming up in a couple of weeks, so when I was ordering street clothes for the post you’ll see in a couple of weeks, I saw some cover-ups and thought I would give them a try.
They are all fantastic!
Like not just “okay”…but really FANTASTIC!
Let me just be clear, today is not sponsored by Joe Fresh! I decided to do an extra post on their cover-ups because I loved them so much!
After 2 years of cover-up searching with ZERO luck, I now have 3 new ones that I love!
THE COVER-UP QUEEN IS BACK BABY!
Okay, after all of the background on my cover up game and how it had slipped….
I present to you 3 DARLING cover ups!!!
And before you get distracted by all of the cuteness, you should know that we have a code!

For size reference, I’m wearing an x-small. The sides are adjustable with the ties.
Looking at the pics, I realize I had it tied up a smidge too high….next time I wear it I’ll let it out some.

It’s just so easy…and the stripes and piping make it so cute!
And to be honest, now that I know that Mr. Fresh is ON POINT with his cover-ups, I kind of wish I would have ordered THIS one too.
You know, to help make-up for those years of my cover-up drought.
So anyway, since my title is obviously being re-instated, I felt like I needed a sash.
I may have been bored when Chris was watching something on espn this weekend and Carter was at a friends. Which explains the sash.
I should basically be your GO TO GIRL for your jewelry, footwear, eye wear, and bag too.
You definitely need a close up of all of the bracelets I’m wearing in the pictures above. They’re from Accessory Concierge (like all of my favorite jewelry seems to be these days), and they are JUST SO FUN! Wooden beads with brightly colored tassels. Yes, please! #ilovetassel
You can mix and match all that you want, and you get to choose the colors!
(And guess what…I contacted Amy at A.C. yesterday, and she was sweet enough to give us another code!
ptmt15 will get you 15% OFF your entire order!
Little Disclaimer here: The girls at Accessory Concierge are so sweet and always want to be as accommodating as possible, but they are unable to have constant % OFF codes. Most of the time I ask for one, they will give it to me (if it works with their schedule), but they can no longer honor requests from shoppers who want price adjustments based upon new codes. They reallllly wish they could continue to do so, but it’s become impossible. They feel awful about it, but please understand!
They will however be obviously honoring this new code!
Here are some of my other favorite A.C. pieces.
And remember, you will get 15% OFF of the price listed on the below pics with the code ptmt15.
And thanks to several reader requests this morning, I e-mailed my contact at Hayden Reis and now have a code for everybody:
Use the code PINTERESTTOLDMETO for 15% off your Hayden Reis order!
AND THERE WAS STILL ROOM.
The information will give you a peek into the quality of the products.
worth the investment.
We got to the pool at least 3x a week over the summer and then do occasional lake and beach trips with friends. I pile EVERYTHING into this bag and besides washing the towels, just keep it packed between trips. It stays organized, and is ready to go for the next trip.
This bag is legit.
And although this next choice isn’t sail cloth (so it won’t be nearly as durable) it does have good reviews, it’s super cute, and it’s cheap (UNDER $30!)!
Check it out HERE.
All right, that’s all for helping everybody to get pool ready this summer with our DARLING cover-ups and accessories….
I’ve got a couple of more things to talk about before you go!
I went to Nordstrom last week on my lunch break (lucky me, Nordstrom is only about 10 minutes away from my office!) after seeing you highlight the BP “Summers” wedges. You said they were kind of like the MUST HAVE wedges from a couple of years ago, so I knew I had to try them. I have the old wedges (and love the old wedges) and I basically live in constant fear of the day they break. True story. I really do think about it. So, I thought that if these were similar they could be my back-up pair. And I can’t believe I’m saying this, but the Callistos have now been bumped to back up. I love the patent on the Callistos, but once I put these on, I realized I was ready for a change! I love the cork look, and they are comfortable too.
So thanks for the suggestion!
My feet thank you too.
They also come in a grey and a coral and are true to size.
See you back here on Wednesday!
I’ve been getting many requests lately for more business casual posts. I’m wanting to do another one within the next several weeks, and I was thinking that I might try Ann Taylor.
So, I went online to Ann Taylor last night to look around, and I saw that until tonight (i’m imagining 10:00 p.m. CST) that the entire site is 50% OFF and there is FREE SHIPPING!
