My putty wedges came in.
What?
You don’t think that’s big news?
Whatever.
IT MADE MY DAY.
I love them.
I love them more than I love the black bean and avocado tacos that I am obsessed with eating right now. And I love them a lot.
I am going to wear THESE babies with EVERYTHING.
I will say that I continue to get questions from you ladies asking if they are really as
comfortable as I say they are.
Wow, some of you are doubters. 🙂
I promise you that these wedges are crazy comfortable.
Like, cross my heart, hope to die, stick a thousand needles in my eye promise you they are comfy.
In case you need to hear somebody else say it, I got this comment yesterday from Lauren (a reader):
Thank you for the push to try on the famous wedges because they ARE super comfortable and now that I bought one color I’m trying to decide what other colors I “need”.
Thanks for the comment Lauren!
Maybe people will believe you!
After all, there is no better endorsement for the wedges than wanting a 2nd pair!:)
Anyway, click HERE for the putty pair in all their glory.
Seriously, people.
Aren’t they SO cute?
I love the height of the heel. It’s tall, but not so tall you think you might twist your ankle while dancing at a club (yes Betsy S. – I’m talking to you!) 🙂
And I love the shiny patent. SO fun, summery, and sassy!
Okay, enough about the wedges….for now. 🙂
Oh wait, I have an idea!
If you ordered this shoe and already received it,
please leave a comment on this post about them!!!
Even if you’ve already e-mailed or facebooked message me about your love for the shoe (because lots of you have), please comment again so everybody can see all the wedge love in one place! 🙂

We will now get back to our regularly scheduled programming…..
DANCING WITH THE STARS!
Gotta love Latin night!
Karina, listen to me. We all know now that Jacoby can jump over you.
No need to continue to incorporate into every routine.
Funny, but for the 2nd week in a row I couldn’t find a picture of Ingo and Kym. (wink, wink)
Oh well, I guess we’ll just have to settle for this shot.
Kellie and Derek / Samba
Score = 29
Andy and Sharna / Rhumba
There wasn’t much dance to this dance. Andy tried his best (like he always does BLESS HIS HEART), but so many of the people remaining are legitimately good dancers.
If the show was called “WHO DO WE LOVE THE MOST OF THESE STARS”, then Andy would have it in the bag. But it’s called “DANCING WITH THE STARS”, so he had to go.
And I might have yelled at the t.v. Allegedly.
CARRIE ANN! HAVE YOU NO REGARD FOR THIS SWEET MAN’S FEELINGS?
GIVE HIM A 6!!!! COME ON!
When they called his name to go home on Tuesday I was so SO sad for him.
Still, I am SO HAPPY for what this show has done for him. It really seems to have given him a new lease on life. And I heard that he’s now going to have his own t.v. show as a result of his popularity on this show.
WAY TO GO ANDY!
I will be watching for sure and rooting you on!
Mark – take. off. the. hats.
Sean is definitely better at the slow dances than the fast ones.
It was super passionate.
At some points I couldn’t decide if I was watching Dancing With the Stars or if I was getting a peak into what the fantasy suite would look like if Sean and Peta were a couple!
As you can see in the pic below, Catherine came to rehearsal to try to help bring Sean’s passionate side out, and I was reminded of how gorgeous Catherine’s hair is…but that is neither here nor there.
Bruno was right…his hiney was sticking out quite a bit. Tuck that hiney in Sean.
Score = 24
****************
Zendaya and Val /Paso Doble
Was it great?
Of course it was great….but I just didn’t love it for some reason.
Score = 27
After all of the individual dances they also had a dance off.
I’m just too dang lazy to talk about that too.
Bye Bye Andy.
We’ll miss YOU, your charm, you hard-working spirit, and your big heart.
And for the record, I would like to say that I TOTALLY called it.
On my first recap I said:
He is going to cha cha his way into America’s hearts.
Mark my words.
I hate to say “I told you so.”
Wait, no I don’t.
I told you so! 😉

Dear Skeptics,
I am the Wedge Queen. I wear them every single day…I own dozens of pairs…you will never find any one more knowledgeable on the subject of wedges. That being said, I have purchased 2 pair of these famous wedges because they are the most comfortable wedges I've ever worn. Period. Trust Sheaffer. She would never lead you astray. In this instance, she has lead you to the wedge promise land. Buy them. Today. Right now.
XOXO
Shay a.k.a. The Wedge Queen

Yep, I did it, I bought the wedges. And I LOVE them! I'm currently on maternity leave with my second baby, and I've all but given up on shoes with any sort of heel. But your arguments were so convincing and the shoes looked so cute, I had to try them. I'm so happy I did, and I'm pretty sure the hubs is going to be, too:) Side note- I am a new reader and absolutely loving your blog!!! So, so funny, and also inspiring- makes me excited to get back into "real clothes" and out of the maternity/workout gear:) Thanks so much!

I ordered the putty wedges and they are beautiful and comfortable. But. They are just too dang tall and I felt very unsteady. Sad to have to rerun them. 🙂
emma bircher says
weeeellllll …. I tried to order THE wedges in aqua, but apparently they are sold out (i'm blaming you, little miss sheaffer)!!!! 😉

Brace yourself. I'm going to have to wear the shoe-veil of shame for this one. I succumbed to peer pressure and bought the wedges …and I returned them. I know! (Picture me holding my hands over my face to avoid your look of shock.) Here's the deal. There was a minor fit issue with where the arch of my foot hit, which could have probably been resolved by going down a size. But the main issue was the height. I'm 5'4" (but I tell people that I carry 5'7") and my beloved is 5'9". So when I'm rocking the wedges, I'm slightly taller than he is. Since these will likely work their way into the date night wardrobe (vs. the chasing my 14 month old twins around wardrobe), the height issue didn't spell out romance to me. (I can feel you wanting to throw something at me… If I could, I'd buy you a bangle so we could still be friends.) Hugs!
RompinAround says
I was convinced by your testimony and ordered them on Tuesday! I can't wait to get them in and will come back with an update on how comfy they are! Ordered the Putty since you can't go wrong with a neutral.
SarahN says
You convinced me on the wedges and my putty pair came in yesterday too! I was so excited to put them on and you know what? You were right!! The most comfortable wedge I've ever had on my feet! Love love love. I can't wait to wear them. Yup. It's going to snow here today 🙁 but I will wear them soon. Everyday. Thank you!
Anonymous says
I'm not ordinarily a wedge person….but I totally fell to the peer pressure. AND I AM SO GLAD I DID! These wedges are so comfortable. I got the putty color too, and they really do go with everything. I'm going to order a second pair. Which color do you suggest?
Julie H. says
Ok, you talked me into it…. I just ordered the yellow ones 🙂 I first thought of going with the putty since it is a neutral but then I thought yellow is neutral too right?!? 🙂 haha! I can't wait to get them

People shouldn't doubt you! These wedges are fantastic. I've read the other comments, and they are tall, but I don't think they are too tall at all. Just the right height to work well with my trouser jeans that I normally wear a heeled boot with. They look great with all of my skinny jeans too. Can hardly wait to break them out with shorts and sundresses. Thanks for introducing them to us!
Lauren says
Seriously, Carrie Ann, was that one point really going to make a difference. She really just could have given Andy a 6…. We all knew his time was coming to an end anyway, but man did we fall in love with him. You couldn't help but root for him!!!!
aprilparrish says
I am smiling from ear to ear because I just love your blog…especially on Thursdays with the recap!!!! 🙂 I totally agree with all your comments especially about Jacoby & Karina…How many times is he gonna jump over her—WE GET IT!!!! and Derek's red skinny jeans were well I just don't know what to say???!!!!
I broke down yesterday and bought the putty wedges. I am 5'7" and normally am a flip flop, flats, toms wearing hottie, but I am gonna give these fabulous wedges a shot and I will keep you posted!!! Have a great day!!!
Anonymous says
I ordered the putty pair of wedges online and am still waiting for them to arrive. I will let you know how I like them once I receive them.
Kim says
I feel so left out!! I wish you could find a pair of wedges with lower heels. My husband and I are both 5 ft. 9 in., so I don't feel comfortable in anything with more than an inch heel….it sucks!
Kris says
Ordered the wedges….and still waiting!! C'mon Nordie's!!! Kim– My husband and I are both 5'10 (actually I think he's a smidge shorter–but whatever!!) and I wear 'em anyway! I don't think it bothers my husband, but if it does, I told him he's welcome to wear high heels, too!! LOL!
Amy McCown says
I do have to say I ordered them in black and returned them. They were comfortable for the first fwe minutes I had them on and then the balls of my feet started hurting. I felt like I was standing on my tiptoes for too lomg. I have a really high arch so not sure if that had anything to do with it. I have several pairs of Guess wedges and they are so comfortable for my feet, so I am off to order another pair of those.
Anonymous says
I wear wedges ALL THE TIME (like Shay). And I completely agree. They are by far the most comfortable wedges I own. I bought 2! The pinky red color (forgot what it's called), and the putty color. Both are awesome! The only question is now…do I get the black pair or the yellow pair next? Not even kidding. ha!

Great recap as usual! My favorite moment was when Zendaya wondered if Val ate breakfast intensely because all I could picture after that was him furiously inhaling a bowl of cereal…

You mentioned once that the white wedges looked cheap. I'm really bummed because I need white, and now that I own the putty colored ones, the next color I would want is white. Are they really that tacky? Please advise!
Angela says
After a mere hour of considering buying the wedges (and it was an intense hour!) – I bought them and got the dark red color. They are so comfortable its ridiculous! I love them so much!
Danielle Owen says
I had read the first blog post about these wedges and thought "Man, those are so cute." And then went about my business. Two days later I'm walking around Nordstrom and see these shoes. I tried on the black ones and have been hooked ever since! I'm debating what color I should get next-I can't decide between yellow, turquoise, and putty-suggestions are welcome. These are seriously the best wedges I've had!! Thanks for the recommendation!
Anonymous says
I just got mine in the putty color yesterday, and you're right when you say they will go with everything. I will wear them with cut off jean shorts, but they are also dressy enough to wear with a nice church dress. And you're not lying about their comfort. So glad I have a pair!
Amber W. says
I'm with SarahN, I need a white pair and when you said they tended to look cheap I backed out. Are they really that bad?? Also, sizing, the other two pairs of wedges I have I had to go up a whole size, how do these run?? I usually wear an 8 1/2 to 9 so would the 9 be okay??
Sheaffer says
Hi Amber and Sarah!
About the white wedges…..I wish I could see them again. Under the lights at Nordstrom they just looked super shiny (because they are patent)…but looking at my putty ones now, that's what I love about them. They shiny is pretty! So, if you need white shoes, I think it would be totally worth it to give them a shot.
And Amber – I think you ordering a 9 would be just right.
Let me know what you guys decide on!
(You are both no reply commenters, so I hope you check back for this answer!)
xoxo,
Sheaffer 🙂
SarahN says
How do undo being a "no reply" commenter? I didn't know I was one! Thanks for the insight – I may just go for it and see how I like them in white 🙂
Kelsey says
First I have to say that I love following your blog! You have definitely pinspired me and you're hilarious! I don't normally buy shoes without trying them on, but with your encouragement, I ordered two! I got the putty and black yesterday and don't regret it! I will wear them all the time!! Thanks!
ADA says
Ordered the red but desperately wish I could have the turquoise!
ADA says
Just bought the red but desperately wish I could find the turquoise!
Brooke Richardson says
I've had these wedges as soon as nordstroms put them out and I couldn't agree more. They are super comfortable. I have the putty ones too, my mom bought the red! We love them 🙂
Beth says
I just bought the wedges in putty yesterday. When I tried them on in a store a woman came over to me and said "OMG, your legs look fabulous in those!!!". SOLD!
Jenny says
After seeing your reviews and hearing you rave about the shoes over & over I just ordered the putty pair online. I am so excited to receive them next week!
Suz says
I bought the black ones and wore them for the first time yesterday. They are really comfy! I am trying to resist buying the putty ones now!

I could have used this info a week and a half ago! Those wedges are way more cute than this humongous boot I'm wearing! Love-Betsy S. 🙂
Denise Holthaus says
I will post this again! I have the amazing wedges in HOT PINK and like Sheaffer has said, they are the MOST comfortable wedge I've ever owned!!! Love them! And I am thinking I need another color now too… hmmmm…
Denise Holthaus says
Oh, look… my daughter Brooke Richardson posted too… she is one that told me about them and I bought the HOT PINK, Brooke, not the red, LOL.

Hilarious recap — I was laughing last week when I caught up on old episodes (I was in Italy #cough), remembering your comment about sean not being able to shimmy. He literally is physically incapable of shimmying. funny.
I was also going to comment on Karena's face in Jacoby's crotch, but I'm afraid I may offend one of your anonymous readers. 😉
Jenna Watley says
I love your DWTS recap! I giggled throughout! :). I was a little late to the game and just now tried scoping out the wedges. Red is the only color left! So sad!

to the queen of wedges…. can you pretty pretty PLEASE find us super tall women that are holding babies a LOW wedge in nude- still want to be fashionable but functional… need your help!thx

I bought the wedges and just wore them to a 3 day conference – wore them everyday – and from 7:30 am til midnight on Saturday – and they were awesome. The most comfortable ever!!
Thank you for the recommendation – I am ordering another color soon!
Trishallen says
Decided to succomb to the wedge pressure and bought myself a pair in black. I would tell you how I liked them but my 16 year old daughter has been wearing them non stop. So I guess the only option is to but another pair!
Sarah says
I bought the wedges in two different colors! I can't believe how comfy they are! I recapped it today in my post! Love, Love, love, thanks for the find!
Melissa A says
I may have told everyone (even those that weren't asking me about what shoes I am obsessed with) about these shoes…you should be getting some sort of kick back from Callisto for all the sales you are creating!
