So, I saw this pink and leopard combo on Pinterest, and I think my exact thought was,
I immediately started trying to think if I had a hot pink sweater in my closet, and I couldn’t think of one. Oh no!
And then I thought to myself,
“WAIT, self! What about the pink sweater set you had in college?”
And then I thought to myself,

College was a long time ago friends.
But I was right! I found the sweater set!
I know, I know.
1997 called, and it wants its sweater set back.
And in the spirit of full disclosure,
I also have this exact set in cream and lavendar.

Shut it. 😉
I‘m so happy I didn’t get rid of this one 2 years ago when I did a massive closet clean out.
I actually got rid of 10 sweater sets that weekend!
TEN.
You are probably worried that I didn’t have enough sweater sets/cardigans left after the purging.
Well, you’d be wrong.
I would tell you how many I still had, but I’m afraid you might not want to be my friend anymore… or that you might tell my hubby…or that you might have me committed to some sort of weird cardigan–obsessed mental hospital.
The number is something that only a few close friends know.
And I have “dirt” on them too,
so they know better than to share my number. 😉
Sure, this particular pink cardigan was a couple of inches shorter than I would have liked it to be, but in the words of Tim Gunn, this was a “make it work” moment.

So I did.
I paired a longer tank under the cardigan and copied the outfit without having to buy a thing.
I MADE. IT. WORK.

Way to shop your closet! Hot pink and leopard is fierce. And thanks for the public service announcement about holding onto sweater sets. I can think of some great ones that went by the way of a garage sale. 🙁

Looks awesome!!! I need to seriously build my wardrobe before I can't start copying from Pinterest. Yea, it's lacking by THAT much. Confession? I don't even own tall boots. It's sad, I know.

Love this. I wore something really similar earlier this week, except I wore a statement necklace rather than a scarf! 😉 I love putting together outfits using pinspiration from my own closet. (And I still have a sweater set or two of my own from the late nineties.)
