Before we get started on today’s post, I want to say a very deep and heartfelt THANK YOU to all of you that are praying for and supporting Holt.
As of last night, we had raised $22k on Go Fund Me since Friday, bringing the grand total to $30,866. We’ve raised another $7K through The Holt necklace (you can still get them for $24 with the code INCREDIBLEHOLT), and $1.5K through The Incredible Holt t-shirts. I talked to Alden (Holt’s mama!) on the phone, and she was incredibly touched and wonderfully overwhelmed by everybody’s willingness to help their family. She was brought to tears and said she had no idea how she would ever thank everybody.
Like Alden, I have been absolutely blown away by the support, love, and generosity that I have witnessed over the last 3 days. (I actually lost it on Saturday afternoon and shed some tears on instastories while thanking all of y’all. I will save it to my instastory highlights today in case you missed it, even though my face is splotchy. Ha!)
There is no doubt in my mind that Holt’s story, his sweet little face, and his faith filled voice are touching lives.
If you missed Friday’s post and don’t know what I’m talking about, please click HERE to get all caught up. I am so thankful that so many of you were moved and wanted to support this sweet, faith centered, and very deserving family. WHAT A GIFT to give them a little peace of mind during this battle they are about to fight. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!
I also want to thank Andrea, Erika, Narci and Shay for helping me get the word out with blog posts on Friday. And I had a host of other blogging friends that have shared Holt’s story on social media, and for that I’m forever grateful.

On to today’s post!
Did you catch my post a couple of weeks ago where I talked about wearing leopard at every level?
I divided all of us into two camps: Camp 1: those that love leopard, and Camp 2: those that want to love leopard, but are scared.
I mean, sure….I guess there are people that don’t love leopard and don’t even want to love it…but I don’t think I know any of those people. Haha!
I also talked about wearing leopard at 3 Levels. Level 1 Leopard Lovers wear accessories. They don’t spend a lot of money on their leopard pieces, but they still like to incorporate little bits into their outfits. Leopard scarves and belts are great for Levels 1’ers. Level 2 Leopard Lovers are willing to spend a little bit more, but they still don’t want the print to be the focus of their outfit. Leopard print shoes are great for levels 2’ers. And Level 3 Leopard Lovers are ALL IN. Level 3’ers have leopard as the focus of their outfit.
To see me in outfit examples at all levels, click HERE.
Today I’m highlighting this leopard scarf outfit that I planned in my previous post. This is a prime example of Level 1 Leopard Love. So, this is for somebody that wants to try out the trend, but doesn’t want to make an investment. I will say that this outfit is for a Level 1’er that’s willing to take a risk, because even though the scarf is inexpensive, it’s BOLD.
Enter: $18 Leopard scarf.
The scarf is light weight and can be styled super easily. Just wrap it around your neck once and mess with it just a bit until it falls just like you like it!
scarf / blingy bracelets / colorful dot bracelet
In addition to the scarf, I actually highly recommend everything I’m wearing today.
I was drawn to this hot pink sweater, but it comes in 8 color choices and it’s 40% OFF RIGHT NOW! I do think it’s a really close fit, so I sized up to a medium so it wasn’t too figure conscious. It’s soft as can be, and even though I typically prefer a v neck, I liked this crew neck option!
The earrings come in gold (my choice), rose gold, and silver. They are big and make a statement, but I can wear them all day without trouble.
pink sweater / leopard scarf / earrings / jeans / tall wedge boots
Okay, the skinny jeans .
They are soft, comfy, and have just the right amount of stretch. But even though they are stretchy, they don’t stretch out! They have great little side split at the ankle, and they are the perfect length on my 5’4″ frame with flats, mules, booties, converse, and athletic sneakers. And as you can see below, they tuck beautifully into tall boots as well. Because of their short length, there’s not any excess fabric you have to worry about. They just tuck smoothly into the boots with ease!
AND Y’ALL.
Speaking of the boots.
The boots are good.
Realllllllllllllllllllllllly good.
They are true to size and the overall look is both classic and sassy. I love the stacked wedge heel, and the slim buckle adds a nice stylized touch. They go just over my knee, and aren’t too overwhelming on my frame. I love them with skinny jeans, and I look forward to wearing them with dresses (like this scattered dot split neck dress or this shirt dress– both 40% OFF right now!) and tunics and leggings as well.
The bag is a Vince Camuto bag from last year, but click HERE for a current option from VC with gold hardware as well. Click HERE for a great option under $50 with gold hardware and a tortoise shell handle.
The individual pieces are great, but I really love all of them together in this fun outfit!
And if you aren’t a leopard girl (or a scarf girl), just get rid of it! The outfit is still as cute as can be!

Before you go, there are a handful of sales you need to know about. This super popular Free People bralette is on sale for ONLY $10, these Sam Edelman pointy toe flats are 25% OFF and DARLING, these tassel earrings are 25% OFF, and this J Crew Chambray shirt (size up) is 40% OFF. And if there’s anything you’ve been eyeing at LOFT, sale items are an additional 50% OFF.
That’s it for today’s post! Hope everybody has a great Monday!

Sheaffer, your IG story over the weekend broke my heart!!! You have created such a wonderful community over the last few years & I am so grateful to hear that we can all help in a way.
On another blog post note…. Have you ever done a capsule wardrobe post? I LOVE shopping, but due to unforeseen events I had to cut down on my shopping in a big way and would love your input on seasonal capsule wardrobe items. Maybe your must have 4 pants, a few more tops, 2/3 shoes etc. You know best 🙂 Then how one can mix & match them daily.
Still reading your blog every week, but just cant spend the money I used to be able to.
xo
Sheaffer says
Hi, Tanya! I’ve had several people ask for this, so it’s something that I need to consider creating! And thanks for the sweet words about this community. Y’all have blown me away. xoxo
Julee says
Hi Sheaffer, I have a leopard question for you. I love leopard – even did level 1 leopard in my house decorating. But is there a leopard rule about combing leopard prints… would/could you pair leopard shoes and a leopard belt or do you stop with just 1 piece of leopard? Thanks!
Sheaffer says
Hey, Julee! So, I’m not sure about rules, but I don’t typically double down on leopard. However, there are a couple of times in the past that I’ve worn leopard shoes with a skinny leopard belt. I don’t wear it a lot, but sometimes I just think it works! xoxo, Sheaffer 🙂
Jackie T. says
Friends don’t let friends wear more than 25% leopard….that’s my rule, but I think everyone should wear whatever amount they feel great and comfortable in!
Sheaffer says
I lol’d, Jackie! Sounds like a solid rule to me!!! xoxo, Sheaffer 🙂
Jenny N says
I saw your instastory this weekend and it brought me to tears! You are doing such a wonderful thing and I am so happy that as one of your followers that I could help out in such a tiny way.
Sheaffer says
Jenny, thank you so much for your kind words and for supporting Holt’s family! xoxo, Sheaffer
Amy says
Wow that is amazing how much money was raised in such a short period of time. I can’t even believe how many necklaces were sold! ?❤️?. As always I look forward to reading your posts! I’m curious…do you dry clean that sweater?
Sheaffer says
Hi, Amy! I dry clean things sometimes that I don’t necessarily have to, but I will dry clean that sweater. xoxo, Sheaffer
Sophia says
Love the outfit!! I noticed that the sweater is 100% wool….is it itchy?? I shy away from wool because of being itchy but it looks so cute!
Sheaffer says
Hi, Sophia! I don’t think of it as itchy at all, but I wouldn’t say it’s incredibly soft either. Hope this helps! xoxo, Sheaffer 🙂
Narci says
I love this outfit on you!! The leopard and pink is adorable together!!
Ashley says
Hi, there! First, so happy for the money that has been raised!
Is pink you are wearing the “crisp pink” listed on the website? I love the color you are wearing, but the color at jcrew or Nordstrom looks different. Thanks!!
Sheaffer says
Hi, Ashley! It’s the “crisp berry”. xoxo, Sheaffer 🙂
Mary says
