Conner’s Closet: WORK WEAR GUIDE #8 (WITH SALE ITEMS)!

It’s time for the 8th installment of Conner’s Closet!!!  Conner is my sister, and she works in HR for a hospital system.  Here she is with her little guy, Brody (3 years old).

I MEAN.  HOW CUTE ARE THEY.  But don’t let this precious picture fool you.  That boy will give you a run for your money.  But so did his mama when she was little.  #sassy #karma  😉

OUTFIT #1:  FLORAL BLOUSE AND WHITE PANTS

Conner, I absolutely adore this outfit on you!  And not only is it great for the office, I think it would be a WONDERFUL option for an Easter outfit for ladies who prefer to not wear dresses!  And THESE PANTS are 40% OFF, no code needed!

Ladies – this outfit is to die for!  The split neck blouse is the softest shade of blush and is absolutely gorgeous.  The top is thin, so you will have to wear a cami underneath.  I suggest a nude or beige cami so the lines are not as prevalent.  The pale pink looks fabulous with white pants.  I know, I know…white pants may seem like a disaster waiting to happen (especially if you have kids), but trust me, they’re worth it.  The pants are thick and not at all see through.  If you just can’t bring yourself to pull the trigger on white pants, my feelings won’t be hurt 😉 – the blouse also looks fantastic when paired with gray!  Put it with a pencil skirt or with skinny ankle pants.  I am wearing my gray Kendra Scott Earrings and some block heel pumps. 

All of these items can be washed at home, but I recommend laying the shirt to dry.  I’m wearing a 00P in the pants and pencil skirt, and an XS Petite in the blouse.  I typically wear an XXS regular in Loft tops, but I have the option to go to an XS Petite if that size is not available.

 OUTFIT #3:  SIMPLE DRESS AND SANDALS

First of all, THIS DRESS is 40% OFF, NO CODE NEEDED!!!!  I love this outfit on  you Conner!  I agree, I would wear it with flats for the office…but if wearing it to a shower or out to dinner, it would be so cute with wedges (I just got these!), a cognac cross body, and a denim jacket.

I’ll be honest – this dress is not typically something I would wear, but I’m so glad I added it to my cart!  It’s stinking adorable!  I mean, look at the ruffles on the sleeves…I die.  I will wear this dress on casual Fridays at the office.  It’s so comfortable!  Since it’s on the short side, I’d throw on a pair of Sam Edelman flats or sandals and call it a day.   This is one of those dresses that you don’t have to think too much about accessorizing.  I just put on my drop earrings and walked out the door.  I’m wearing an XSP in the dress and I think it’s true to size.  It’s machine washable, but I will lay it flat to dry.

OUTFIT #4: FLORAL WRAP DRESS

Okay, ladies! THIS DRESS IS 50% OFF WITH FREE SHIPPING with the code CYBER50 (sale ends tonight).  I love the comfort and ease of a wrap dress.  It can easily be dressed up or down, and it’s a great basic to have in your closet.  I think you’ll find it will work for lots of different occasions.

You guys, I can’t even begin to tell you how much I love this wrap dress.  I’ve already made the decision it’s going to be my Easter dress this year.  The colors are gorgeous, and you need to know the pictures don’t do it justice.  And it’s SO flattering.  The dress is navy with the prettiest shades of pink, green, cream, and light blue.  I also love the fact that it has long sleeves.  It’s professional and also keeps me warm in my meat locker of an office.  🙂 The dress is not low cut, so no need to wear a cami underneath (always a plus, especially with dresses…I don’t want any lines)!  I am wearing a basic slip underneath as I always like to have an extra layer between my booty and the dress.  (Laughing so hard at you right now, Conner.  WHAT BOOTY?!?!  HAHAHAHAHA!!!!)  I’m wearing my Calie Pumps and some gorgeous rose quartz earrings.  The earrings really pop and pulls the outfit together. 

I’m not going to wash this dress – this beauty will be going to the dry cleaners, but probably only every other wear.

OUTFIT #5:  TIE BLOUSE AND BLACK SLACKS

Conner!  I LOVE IT, because you look like such a grown up in this outfit!  #adulting AND GIRLS!  This tie neck blouse is also 50% OFF today with FREE SHIPPING!

I LOVE this look.  You guys know I love not having to think about what I’m going to wear, but still always want to look professional and put together.  This look is so professional and polished!  The colors in the top are beautiful and I love, love, love the tie neck!  The blouse is perfect with my go-to black skinny ankle pants from the gap.  I recently added the Kristin Cavallari Copertina Pumps to my closet and couldn’t be happier.  The heel is high, but I’m 5’2 and need all the help I can get!  I’m wearing my basic Alex Earring in black. 

The blouse is an XXS regular and the pants are 00 regular.  Size up by ½ in the shoes…trust me!   The pants and top are machine washable.

OUTFIT #6: FLORAL PENCIL SKIRT AND CREAM BLOUSE

This is absolutely DARLING.  If I worked in an office, I would buy every single piece!

Gosh I love this outfit – it screams spring!  I absolutely love the dandelion color, but have never been able to wear it in a top because it doesn’t look good with my coloring.  You can imagine how thrilled I was when I found it in a skirt.  This outfit is comfortable, but still very professional. The skirt is a thicker, textured material, so it doesn’t wrinkle.  It’s super flattering and I love that I can pair it with practically anything.  I don’t have a navy cardigan in my wardrobe, but I recommend adding a navy or coral cardigan to really take the look to the next level.  I’m wearing my Loft blouse from the last post and my Jessica Simpson Calie pumps.  If you’re not a fan of the pumps, you can also pair it with the Corso Como flats from last post.  I accessorized with my layering necklace (type in Riad).

OUTFIT #7:  FLORAL PENCIL SKIRT WITH DENIM JACKET

YES!!!!!!!!!!!

BUT WAIT…there’s more!  For a more casual look, throw on some wedges, a white t-shirt and the MUST HAVE DENIM JACKET. #BONUS  #yourewelcome  Seriously, how cute is this look?  I opted for my more casual Barrington tote to tie it all together.  I’m wearing a 00 regular in the skirt (it didn’t come in petites, so I’ll have to have it taken in because I have no hips) and an XXS in the blouse. 

I’ve washed both pieces on delicate and recommend laying them flat to dry.
