Today it’s time for the 25th installment of Conner’s Closet!!! WOW! NUMBER 25! I can hardly believe it!
I’m just so thankful that when I had this idea a couple of years ago that Conner was excited about the idea too and more than happy to come play dress up over here once a month. I know that there are so many ladies that very much appreciate the time and effort that she puts into these posts, and I’m so happy to share her office style with all of you.
In case you are new here, Conner is my little sister, and she works in HR for a hospital system. Here she is with her little guy, Brody! I MEAN. HOW CUTE ARE THEY. But lemme tell ya, don’t let this precious picture fool you. That boy will give you a run for your money. And so did his mama when she was little. #sassy #karma
If you missed the last couple of WORK WEAR posts, you might not know yet that Conner is pregnant! In fact, she’s already 7 months along. Conner, her hubby, and Brody are excited to welcome a new little nugget into their family in October. Congratulations, sister!

Conner’s thoughts on all of her outfits today will be in italics, and my thoughts will be in regular font. Let me start out by saying that her super cute outfits almost make me want to work in an office. #almost
Let’s Get Started!
OUTFIT #1
I am less than 2 months away from my due date and feeling VERY pregnant, but I’m really excited to share a few outfits with you all! AND PLEASE PAY SPECIAL ATTENTION TO THE MATERNITY LEGGINGS I’M WEARING IN 3 OF THE OUTFITS TODAY. THEY ARE AMAZING.
How cute is this black and white combination?!? You guys – this drapey side tie top is phenomenal. It is super soft and just dreamy! It has flutter sleeves (which I love!) and a super fun tie at the bottom. The top is not maternity, but it obviously works great for my expanding belly.
I’m wearing this top with the sateen maternity leggings. If you are pregnant, GET THESE! They are the most comfortable pair of pants I own. Just trust me on this.
And if you’re going to buy this top, you have to get the necklace, too. It’s, versatile, and definitely pulls the look together!
I’m also wearing my favorite new pair of black pumps. They are a very classic shoe, but the high-backed heel gives them a little bit of an edgy look…and get this…they’re under $50! It’s important to mention that these shoes have a 4 inch heel…so be prepared!
All items are TTS (Top-medium, maternity pants-0, pumps-5.5).

Before we go any further, I texted Conner about the maternity leggings to see if she truly loved them. Because if she did, I was going to make a big deal of them. Her response follows…so yes, she LOVES the leggings. And I’m now officially making a big deal about them. (Please ignore the typos.)
OUTFIT #2
I don’t have a ton of the color blue in my closet, but I’m so glad I decided to purchase this tie back flutter tee. It’s different than other tops I own and I’m loving the change! The paisley print is gorgeous and the knit is so soft. As you can tell, I’m on a flutter sleeve kick and I’m also loving the tie back! I didn’t get a photo of the back, but be sure you check out the picture online.
This top is really versatile – it’s obviously great with the black sateen maternity leggings, but would also be super cute with a pair of white skinny jeans and wedges.
I know y’all know that jewelry can “make” an outfit and believe me when I tell you that the tassel sapphire earrings are a must have! They match the sapphire color in the top perfectly!
The top (M) and leggings (0-maternity) are machine washable and I will lay them flat to dry.

Conner, you are DARLING in this outfit. And I love the earrings too!
OUTFIT #3
Y’all. I think this outfit is my favorite of them all. If you know me, you know I LOVE leopard print and wear it often…but I don’t have any leopard print with pink (yes, PINK) and gray accents. This is such a fun take on leopard print and I’m in LOVE. This leopard shell is fluid, but doesn’t have that “maternity” look to it, if you know what I mean. It’s soft and comfortable. I don’t know about you guys, but my office is REALLY cold and I knew I would freeze without a cardigan, so I added the rosebud pink swingy open cardigan to my cart and the pinks are a PERFECT match. WOOHOO! Also, I hope I’ve already convinced you to add the tassel pendant necklace to your cart, but if you haven’t…just do it, already!
The leopard print shell (medium) and open cardigan (small) are TTS. Both are machine washable, but I will lay them flat to dry.

Conner, I think this outfit is totally chic (it’s my favorite of the day too), and I of course think that you look amazing in it! I love every piece. And I hear from women all the time that their office building are freezing, so they always appreciate a cozy cardi.
OUTFIT #4
Ladies, this is a wrap dress from Amazon. YES, you read that correctly, it’s an AMAZON. Wrap. Dress.
You guys…it could be mistaken for a DVF wrap dress! Sheaffer just sent it to me and told me I had to try it, and boy was she right. It’s super inexpensive, but made very well. The material is thick and it has a hidden button for closure – both of which are requirements for me when purchasing a wrap dress! The print of this dress really jumped out at me. I love the navy, light blue, and green combination and it’s going to transition well from summer to fall! If you’re pregnant, I recommend sizing up a couple of sizes, but my guess is that it will fit TTS for others. It comes in several color and print options.
The dress is machine washable and I will hang it to dry. I’m wearing one of my go-to pairs of pumps from last season, but I highly recommend this pointy toe pump in oatmeal suede!

I think you look awesome in that dress, Conner! Show off that cute little bump!!!
Maybe you guys remember when I showed you this dress in black a couple of Amazon hauls ago? It has FANTASTIC reviews, is beautifully made, and rings in at just $35. It comes in several colors, including a great leopard!
The material is sturdy, it doesn’t wrinkle, and it’s not see thru. And I 100% agree with Conner that it reminds me very much of the famous DVF wrap dresses that are extremely popular, but much more expensive. This is a great staple to have in your closet.
There’s also a short sleeved version HERE with fantastic reviews

Before you go today, I’ve got a SALE ALERT for you!
A couple of weeks ago the Colleen Rothschild Jumbo Cleansing Balm was on sale. I made a big deal about my love for it, so many of you bought it while on sale. Probably because I wouldn’t shut up about it. But here’s the deal, I’m only this passionate about things that I truly know you will absolutely love! *FYI: I’m just as passionate about this little guy (also found at Target HERE), but we’ll talk about him again next week sometime. *
Well, here I am talking about the cleansing balm again for two reasons: 1) I’ve received COUNTLESS e-mails from those of you that bought it recently, have already started using it, and are as just as in love with it as I am. 2) It’s ON SALE AGAIN!
The regular size cleansing balm (shown below) is $65. And while on sale right now, the JUMBO SIZE (which is a little over twice as big) is ONLY $7 more right now. That’s quite a deal!
And just to help make my case, I wanted to share some reader thoughts about it too. I put this little question box on stories yesterday afternoon, and I already had lots of responses by early evening, so I took some screen shots.
LADIES. This cleansing balm is amazing. TRUST US.
I encourage you to read all of the feedback, but recurring words and themes include: gentle, hydrating, heavenly, glowing, moisturizing, soft, and CLEAN.
#weareALLtellingyoutoo #notjustme
And if you tried and fell in love with the cleansing balm and have decided you want to try other products, click HERE to see the other products that are available in the employee favorites sale! It includes the Face Oil #9 (my mom’s favorite), the Dual Enzyme Polish (another one of my favorites), and the Smooth and Shine Hair Serum (which my sister now swears by).
All right, that’s it for today! I hope the post was helpful for all of you ladies that work in an office! Heck, I hope it was helpful for everybody. Even those of us that don’t work in an office still need dressier looks for church and other occasions.
And all of us need the balm. #forreal
Thank you, Conner! Have a great Wednesday, ladies!
Kim says
Hello! I think one time you mentioned a Colleen product that your mom swears by for her neck? Could you tell me what that was? Thank you!
Sheaffer says
Hi, Kim! I just texted her. She doesn’t have one that she uses specifically for targeting her neck, she says she just moisturizes it. xoxo
Farryn Bussa says
If I wanted to give the Colleen Rothschild products a try.. where do I begin ?
Sheaffer says
Hi, Farryn! I think the cleansing balm is the gateway product to the entire line! They do have a couple of different “Discovery Kit” collections that are awesome for travel but they also allow you to try several different products from the line! xoxo, Sheaffer 🙂
Carrie says
Preschool special ed teacher here- wrap dress work for getting up and down off the floor?? We have a dress code ( absurd for my profession) and I am always looking for comfy dressier options.
Sheaffer says
Hi, Carrie! I’m not sure it would work. I think you would have possible issues with it gaping up top with all of the up and down movement. So sorry! 🙁
Alyson Fowler says
Is the cleansing balm good for oily skin?
Sheaffer says
Hi, Alyson! I think I’ve heard that it is from readers in the past, but can somebody comment on this?!? Thank you in advance! xoxo
Julie Bradford says
Hi Sheaffer… I always use a moisturizer after I wash my face at night & before I apply makeup in the morning.. would I need to do so after using the cleansing balm? Also if I bought the cleansing balm & dual enzyme polish, how often would you use them? Thanks so much!!!!
& also Thanks to Conner..I order the leopard tank 🙂
Sheaffer says
Hi, Julie! I can’t speak for everybody, but personally I do not have to use a moisturizer after cleansing. My face is hydrated and moisturized by the balm! xoxo
Shay Shull says
She really must be the cutest pregnant girl ever. Like ever.
Laurie S says
Great outfits! Conner looks so pretty… And those heels ?! How does she do that while pregnant!? Wow…
Betsy says
Just wanted to say thank you for these cute, modest work outfits! I lead worship on stage every week in a somewhat traditional setting, and I sometimes struggle to know what to wear. Thanks for the inspiration!
Narci says
Adorable!! I always love these work wear posts!
Kate says
Thank you notice about the sale, I can’t wait to try the cleansing balm. As a first time customer I also got another 20% off!
Sheaffer says
That’s awesome!!!
Lisa C. says
Can you make it a little less cute next time? I ordered almost everything. 😛
Sheaffer says
This made me laugh, Lisa! It was just all so good. I can hardly blame you! xoxo
