It’s time for the 5th installment of Conner’s Closet!!! If you didn’t see the first post, Conner is my sister and she works in HR for a hospital system. She always looks so polished and put together, and since I often receive requests for work wear ideas from y’all (but I don’t have the need for work wear), I had an idea to start a monthly series where Conner highlights business casual attire for us!
She’s got several amazing pieces to show y’all today, so let’s get started! Conner’s thoughts will all be in italics. Oh, you should know that she’s wearing THESE heels with every outfit and THESE tights with 3/4 outfits. She absolutely LOVES them both. The heels make me wish I had a need for new heels.
Sweater and Herringbone Skirt
I LOVE a good herringbone skirt and this one really takes the cake. First of all, it’s longer than any of my pencil skirts…which I adore. I’m only 5’2” and love the “midi” look, but typically, I have a hard time wearing it (or even finding it). Let me tell you, the length of this skirt is perfect! Also, it’s SUPER comfortable. One thing I do need to mention…do not, I repeat…DO NOT plan on wearing this skirt with a tucked in blouse or sweater. Trust me, I tried. It didn’t look good (sigh). But don’t worry – I’ve got you covered with this short sleeve turtleneck from Ann Taylor! The fit is to die for and it looks so good with this skirt! I’m wearing the lovely Sam Edelman Hazel black suede pumps and fleece lined tights from the Loft. GET THESE TIGHTS. They are so opaque and SO soft. Confession: I have 36 pairs of black tights. Yep. It’s true. But the Loft tights make me want to throw out all of the others and restock with 35 pairs of these. I’m wearing a 00 Petite in the skirt and regular XS in the sweater. I wash both on delicate, dried the skirt on low and line dried the sweater.
FYI, the exact same heels in snakeskin and teal suede are 40% OFF HERE.
Here’s a close up of the reversible Reese sparkle necklace. I love both sides equally! I love this necklace – it sparkles on one side, but you can reverse it for a solid gold (kind of brassy) look for more casual days!
Loft Shoulder Ruffle Blouse and Silky Floral Pencil Skirt
Ooooh! I think this outfit looks so classy! And the blouse and skirt are BOTH ON SALE!
I was debating whether or not to order this skirt, but I’m so glad I did. If you pull it up online, it looks much brighter on the website than it actually is in person. It’s feminine, but still very professional. Plus…it has pockets! The ruffle blouse is such a good staple. I’ve also paired it with my red Marisa pants and about a million other pieces in my closet. I am wearing my standard sizes (00 petite skirt, XXS blouse). I’m wearing my black Kendra Scott drop earrings, the Sam Edelman shoes, and the Loft flannel tights. Both the top and the skirt are machine washable!

Crimson Floral Jacquard Dress
I would never have picked the dress for Conner, but I love it on her so much! AND IT’S ON SALE!!!
I didn’t think I would love this dress. Boy, was I wrong. Are there any Lularoe fans out there? Well, I think the fabric of this dress is very similar to the Lularoe dresses. It’s so stinkin’ comfortable. Another one of those “I don’t want to have to think about what I’m going to wear” outfits. It’s very much a fit and flare type dress, and they typically aren’t flattering on me, but I can’t help but love this dress. Don’t let the fit scare you – I had mine taken in slightly so it’s more form fitting, but it looked really cute before I had it nipped on the sides. I tried to find a necklace to wear with it, but decided it looked much cuter with the Kate Spade glitter stud earrings. I’m wearing a 00 regular in the dress. I wash it on delicate and lay it flat to dry.

Floral Pintucked Blouse and Marisa Ankle Pants
This outfit is my absolute favorite. The pictures don’t do it justice. This blouse is to DIE for. The teal, black, and gold colors are GORGEOUS. I received no less than 10 compliments on the blouse the first time I wore it. The details are just perfect…you can’t see it in the picture, but the sleeves have pleats/ruffles around the wrists. I die. The quality is amazing and the blouse looks really expensive, but don’t worry, it’s not! 🙂 Plus, you can’t go wrong with the Marisa ankle pants. Trust me, you need a pair in EVERY color. I’m wearing a pair of Accessory Concierge copper druzy drop earrings that are no longer available (they still have them in gold), but THESE earrings are the same copper color and match the blouse PERFECTLY! Get them, hurry! I’m wearing the Sam Edelman Hazel black suede shoes in a 5.5, the blouse is an XXS, and the pants are a 00 petite. Both the pants and blouse are machine washable.

Conner’s pic above really doesn’t do the blouse justice. It’s absolutely GORGEOUS. Look at the detail!
In addition to all of Conner’s outfit ideas, I have one for you today too! It’s a funnel neck dress (THAT WENT ON SALE LAST NIGHT!) that looks great with leggings and over the knee boots. I wasn’t going to show it to you until next week, but when it went on sale, I knew I had to hurry! I’m telling you, you will feel like you are wearing pajamas. For size reference, I’m wearing a small in the dress and the leggings (both true to size). Oh, I almost forgot! The dress has pockets! And I’m wearing one of my newest necklaces c/o Accessory Concierge.
You can use the code STMTholiday to get 20% OFF the necklace and your entire Accessory Concierge order! OR, if you are local, you can go to their holiday open house tomorrow night (6-9 on Thursday night 12/15), tell them that Sheaffer sent you, and they will honor the 20% OFF there as well! 🙂

Click HERE and type in “on the mark” for the short arrow necklace. It’s an extremely dainty little necklace, and I wear it quite frequently. It would make an excellent gift! And you can click HERE for the brass ladder necklace (code STMTholiday will get you 20% OFF)!
Also, I posted about the Urban Decay eye palette on facebook on Monday, and TONS of people piped in claiming their love for it! You can see the other reader testimonials HERE. People say it’s their favorite they’ve ever used and that it lasts forever.
See y’all back here on Friday! In addition to some cute clothes, I’m also going to have Carter’s Santa pictures and some little looks at my house all decked out for Christmas! Oh, and some toy ideas from Amazon! AND a Christmas handprint craft I did with Carter several years ago. So yeah, you better come back on Friday. 🙂
