Conner’s Closet: WORK WEAR GUIDE #16

Today it’s time for the 16th installment of Conner’s Closet!!!  I can’t believe we’ve been doing this for well over a year now.  Thank you Conner for all of the incredible WORK WEAR ideas that everybody gets so excited to see every month!

In case you are new here, Conner is my little sister, and she works in HR for a hospital system.  Here she is with her little guy, Brody (4 years old).  I MEAN.  HOW CUTE ARE THEY.  But lemme tell ya, don’t let this precious picture fool you.  That boy will give you a run for your money.  And so did his mama when she was little.  #sassy #karma

I’m so excited for this post I just can’t stand it. I hope you’re ready for some florals, because this post if FULL of them. #sorrynotsorry.

OUTFIT #1:

Let’s talk about this first outfit – adorable, right?!? The full floral pleated skirt is so feminine and flirty! I recommend pairing this skirt with AT’s scalloped short sleeve sweater.  In case you were wondering, the color “Lady Oxford” is a very, very light purple and looks absolutely perfect with this skirt. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the scalloped neckline. The sweater also comes in pink and I’m confident it would look great with the skirt, too! You definitely need to wear a beige or nude color cami under the sweater as it’s pretty thin. I decided to tuck the sweater in, but it has a banded bottom, so you could wear it untucked too – whichever you prefer! 

I also plan on wearing this sweater with white jeans and the navy pants (50% OFF right now!) I’m featuring in the last outfit today.

I accessorized this outfit with the rose gold pave side bar set.  The set is only $59 and includes a necklace and earrings!  The skirt (00P) and sweater (XXS) are TTS and machine washable.

OUTFIT #2

You guys know I love a good wrap dress and this one did not disappoint. AT has updated their traditional wrap dress to include side slit button cuffs…which I adore! The button cuffs add a really nice touch to a traditional dress. I’m only 5’2”, so the dress is a little longer on me, but it’s designed to hit just under the knee. The detail of the floral print is gorgeous and even though it appears lavender in the online photo, it definitely leans towards a more gray/slate color.

I recommend wearing a half slip under the dress to minimize panty lines.

The dress is TTS (I’m wearing an XXS Regular) and machine washable.

OUTFIT #3

I’m not sure why AT is referring to these floral prints as “winter floral.” Rest assured, they are perfect for spring, too!  I am really starting to love the fit of shift dresses…they are so comfortable and forgiving.  I especially love the flare sleeves and the ruching detail around the shoulders! The back has a keyhole with a button closure and it buttons from the inside so you don’t see the button. It’s all in the details, folks!  🙂  

The dress is TTS size (I’m wearing a 00 Regular) and machine washable, but I always recommend laying the clothes flat to dry.

OUTFIT #4

I love wearing great basic pieces and accessorizing with a pretty necklace! I also love pairing navy with white, pink and gold. 

If you haven’t done so already, you need to buy these Marisa pants in every color. You won’t regret it. I promise! I have multiple pairs in navy, black, gray, red, white…the list goes on and on.

Every season I order a new white blouse from the Loft. Typically, I stick with a utility blouse, but I couldn’t resist the bell sleeves and keyhole neckline on this top! Isn’t it gorgeous?!? You can wear it buttoned as a keyhole or unbuttoned as a split neck. It looks great both ways!

Thank you Conner for all of the great looks today!  I also have an office appropriate (or church appropriate) outfit for y’all today!  These pants (50% OFF!) tie at the waist, which I thought was a nice touch that helped make them different than just a regular ol’ pair of black pants.   They have fantastic reviews, and are quite comfy. I made this outfit a bit more casual by pairing it with my cognac MUST HAVE wedges.  It would also look great with black heels!

I’m wearing a small in the blouse and a 4 in the pants.  The MUST HAVE wedges are true to size.

It’s fun and flirty and can easily be dressed up or down. You could wear this to many different types of events.  At 5’4″, I’m in the 6 petite and thought it fit great. If I didn’t have to accommodate a large chest, I would have gone with the 4 Petite.

I love it with colorful earrings and gorgeous heels to match!  Sadly, the heels were too high for me, but they have excellent reviews! They are STUNNING, but since I don’t wear heels very often at all, these were just too tall for me.
