Well, I hope everybody is filled with wonderful Christmas memories from the weekend. We had an amazing Christmas with our families (I’ll be sharing some pics on Friday), and I spent the entire weekend being so thankful for all of our many blessings.
Today’s post is pretty short and sweet. I’ve got yet another super casual outfit for you, but I’m super proud that I’m wearing jeans (and not leggings). I mean….THEY HAVE A BUTTON PEOPLE. And the button alone makes me feel like I’m kind of dressed up. 🙂
I wore this outfit when running around town with Chris and Carter (on one of our stupid cold days last week), and I was nice and warm. My exact jacket and tee are last year from LOFT, and they brought them back this year (although stock is now low in the jacket). But don’t worry, I’ve found several similar pieces from different retailers and linked them for you in a bit!
I absolutely LOVE my colorful puffer jacket. I wear it with super casual outfits (including work out gear) as well as with dressier jeans and sweaters. And my top is so wonderfully cozy. You know how much I love pretty much everything from the Lou and Grey Signaturesoft line at LOFT (all 50% OFF today!).
exact puffer (almost sold out) / similar puffer with fantastic reviews and better stock AND 50% OFF! / plaid infinity scarf (going in and out of stock)/ exact grey tee 50% OFF/ similar grey tee from Nordstrom/ my favorite jeans ever / ugg slim profile boots / silver glitter studs

I LOVE THIS TOP. Don’t overlook it because it’s just a plain grey top. I’m telling you, you will reach for it all the time.
If you don’t own a puffer jacket, I strongly suggest you get one. It’s light weight, keeps me warm, and as mentioned before can be worn with things as casual as work out gear.
Here are several to choose from across different retailers (Macy’s, LOFT, Nordstrom, and GAP).
Or if you prefer clicking on the thumbnail images, here they are:
I think THIS is my favorite one. I like that it has the big collar that stands up, but doesn’t have a hood. The color is great (it comes in black and white as well), and the reviews are excellent.
Enough about the outfit, let’s talk about my new obsession (that I first mentioned last week). My Drybar Buttercup dryer. Here it is in all it’s glory. Until getting this dryer, I thought all hairdryers were the same. Bless my heart.
This is what the site has to say about it: Designed with an ultra-powerful motor to get the job done fast and efficiently, Drybar Buttercup Blow Dryer delivers perfect, long-lasting blow-outs. NanoIonic™ technology helps break up water quickly for reduced drying time while nano beads within the dryer emit powerful negative ions that seal and smooth the hair cuticle, helping to reduce frizz, increase shine and trap moisture inside for more healthy-looking, hydrated hair. Two concentrator nozzles allow for more concentrated airflow. The wider nozzle focuses on a greater area to help hair dry faster, which is great for longer or thicker hair. The narrow nozzle focuses on smaller areas for extra intensity and precision styling and is great for bangs or fringe. It operates at 120 volts and features a nine-foot cord and hang loop for ultimate convenience.

So I don’t know really know what any of the above means, but I do know that it gives me hair I love. Here’s how I use it: First, I just run my fingers through my hair and kind of dry it all over. I like to get most of the moisture out of it before I start curling the sections with the round brush. I put the top half of my hair in a clip, and divide the bottom half into three sections. With the attachment on the dryer, I pull a round brush through each section of hair until dry. I then use the cold shot button to set the curl.
I don’t know (or really care) about the technology that goes into this dryer. But here’s what I do know:
*my hair dries faster
*I have less fly-aways
*my hair is shinier
*the curl holds longer
And all of that makes the high price tag worth it to me!!!!
