WHAT WE ARE EATING
I’m going to share several random shots of things I’ve eaten over the last couple of weeks….
One of mine and Chris’s favorite local spots is Local Yocal (Chris LOVES the burger). We were able to sneak away for lunch last week, and I got a dish I’d never tried before, but I can guarantee you I will be getting it again. Isn’t it gorgeous?! It’s the Health-Nut Grain Bowl! It’s got Smoked Quinoa, Farro, Romaine, Cherry Tomatoes, Roasted Beets, Arugula, Smoked Pecans, Roasted Shallot Vinaigrette, Avocado, and a Fried Farm Egg to top it all off. YUM.
I’m almost positive I’ve shared this before, but I’m obsessed with these little artichoke packets from Trader Joe’s. Every afternoon at around 2:30 or so, I get the munchies. I used to grab a handful of Nut Thins or pretzels, but now I grab one of these little packets. I also love putting a packet in a salad.
We watched a ton of football over the weekend, and I made these cheeseburger sliders for the Cowboy game.
I browned about 1 pound of ground beef with chopped onion, Worcestershire sauce, yellow mustard, minced garlic, salt and pepper. I cut the Hawaiin rolls in half, sprinkled cheese all over the bottom halves, layered in the meat mixture, then sprinkled some more cheese on top. I brushed a garlic and butter mixture on top of the rolls and even sprinkled some sesame seeds on top. I baked them for like 20 minutes on 350. They were really good and super easy. Next time I’ll use Velveeta slices. I really prefer a nice slice of processed cheese on my cheeseburgers. 😉 #seriously #imeltsbetter #youknowimright
This chicken sausage is phenomenal.
Take the veggie skewers (you can find them at Market Street for only $5 for all 3) and take everything off the skewer. I saute all the veggies and the sausage on my cooktop, and that’s it! Easiest dinner EVER. We love it.
And you guessed it, I used my Our Place Oven Pan. I really think it’s the most used item in my kitchen now. I can’t believe I forgot to take a picture of the dish once I cooked it. Take my word for it, it looked delicious.

WHAT I’M LOVING
The sermon series at our church is so good right now! I linked last week’s sermon on my instastories, but I wanted to link it on the blog today as well. In fact, the sermon was so good that I listened to it again on Monday morning.
My family goes to the 9:30 service, but the recording happened during the 11:00 service. When I listened again, it was cool to hear little differences in Pastor John Mark’s delivery from one service to the other. I got even more out of listening to it the second time! If you have time, give it a listen. I think it will be a huge encouragement and super inspiring for many of y’all. I know it was for me!
You can listen HERE!

WHAT WE’VE BEEN UP TO
So it seems as if I haven’t been taking any pics lately! Lots of the same stuff over here, but no pics to show for it.
We did go to Top Golf last weekend. We hadn’t been in a while, and it took him a minute to find his swing again, but this kid was CRUSHING the ball again by the end.

WHAT I’M REMINISCING ABOUT
Carter tries out for the 8th grade soccer team in a couple of weeks. I’m not sure how that’s even possible since this was yesterday.

WHAT I’M EXCITED ABOUT
Ted Lasso is coming back this Spring! WoHooooooo!!! I think it’s late March. #comeonmarch
I’m also excited that after an extensive search, I found another source for the sneakers I posted on Monday (that were sold out at Nordstrom).
You can now find them HERE! And a facebook reader (thank you, Mackenzie!) left a tip on my Monday morning facebook post that you can use the code HONEY15 for $15 off $150 or more!
Runner-tech construction brings all-day performance to a sneaker set on springy cushioning that keeps you moving wherever your feet take you.
True to size for me.
SO comfortable and crazy cute. I’m in love with the colors. They look great with jeans too. And check out the laces. They are like little bungee cords, so you just slip them on and off!

WHAT I’M WORKING ON
I’ve got several fun sponsored posts coming up that I’m super excited about, and I’m preparing for them now. The first step when preparing for a post is to decide what I want to feature. Sometimes I go into a store to pick what I want to highlight, but I’ve found that it’s typically easier to place an online order and then just return things that I don’t like or that don’t fit. It creates a lot more work on the back end because I’m typically ordering quite a bit more than I end up showing, but the online selection is typically more robust and I like having a large inventory to choose from. I spent several hours yesterday combing a couple of different sites for new arrivals and trying to put outfits together for these future posts.

WHAT I’M WATCHING
Well, after years and years of not watching it, I’ve finally fallen prey to The Office. And I’m so happy about it. I laugh out loud several times during each show.
While I’m doing computer work during the day, I will have it playing in the background for several episodes at a time. And you know what I enjoy just as much as watching the shows on TV? Following @officebloopers on instagram. HYSTERICAL.

FOR THE LOVE
I’ve been bringing y’all lots of pink and red goodness, and I’ve got some more options today!
Look how adorable these choices are!
Oh, and just this morning they reactivated my code! Use STMT10 for 10% OFF!!!
heart cardigan / pink and red heart sweater / xoxo sweatshirt / balloon sleeve sweater
I’ve also got some Nordstrom and Amazon pink and red picks as well.
This striped heart tee is adorable. The pink stripes, the little red heart, it’s all adorable. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium, but I think a small would be fine.
Now let’s talk about the jeans. These aren’t new to me. I loved them last year, and I love them this year. To me, they are like if a skinny jean and a straight jean had a baby. And they have the ‘Ab’solution technology that slims, shapes and lifts in all the right places!
They aren’t super fitted on the calf or around the ankle, and the ankle has a little split on the side. They are great with sneakers, sandals, booties, flats, wedges, whatever! These are great for spring and summer because I love to have just a tiny bit of ankle showing! I do suggest sizing down. I’m wearing a size 2. THESE ARE AWESOME JEANS. They have the perfect amount of stretch.

This cardigan was a no brainer to pair with it.
You’ve seen me highlighting this batwing cardigan in a dark brown since last fall. I LOVE IT. I love it so much in fact, that I ordered it in this red. Officially this one is called “red/orange”, but I think it’s a very true red. And it comes in 16 color options, so there’s truly something for everybody! This cardi is a chunky knit and a mid-weight. It’s a batwing design, but you can see how the lower arms are super fitted, so it doesn’t look sloppy. I love the slouchy fit.
For size reference, I’m wearing a small.

And for something a little bit unexpected, I paired the red and pink with these fabulous camo pants. I think it’s a fun look!

I’m so happy to have these camo pants in my closet. Just like the jeans, they too have the ‘Ab’solution technology that holds you in while still allowing you to breathe.
You’ll be comfy and you’ll feel skinny. Two of my favorite things. 😉 For size reference, I’m wearing a 4.
And if the red sweater was a little much for you with the camo pants, here’s the pink striped tee paired with a denim jacket instead. If the pink and white stripe is still a little much for you with the camo, just imagine this outfit with a white tee instead.
This denim jacket is from Kut from the Kloth, y’all. And if you’re an OG follower of this blog, you might remember that the very first item that I ever named a MUST HAVE was a Kut from the Kloth denim jacket almost 10 years ago now! Kut really knows how to make a denim jacket. This one has a bit more structure than other denim jackets I’ve recently highlighted in the past, but I think it will soften up after some washings. For size reference, I’m wearing a small.

These sneakers are really comfy and a great neutral! I’m wearing the “white/tan leather”. Last year I purchased the “white/black leather”, and I love those too. I still wear the white/black ones frequently and can vouch for the fact that they are super comfy.
True to size for me.
See! Perfectly neutral, but with a little bit of tone on tone interest.
As you can see, I’m pretty obsessed with this red sweater. If you remember, this is how I styled it the first time I showed it.
batwing cardigan / crew neck tee / blingy heart earrings / similar cross necklace / Mother jeans / white sneakers
This is cute. Period. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.

WHAT I’M WEARING
So here’s the deal, I’ve pretty much only been wearing athleisure lately. Sure, I’ve thrown in a great pair of comfy jeans here and there…but I’ve stuck mainly to athleisure.
I showed this outfit on Monday’s post in styled outfit pics, but today you get it in a mirror selfie! Full disclosure: I’ve worn this exact outfit for 2 straight days. I’m wearing it as I type this.
This sweatshirt is almost gone in the pink, but you can still grab it in black or ivory. I can’t get it in black because of my dogs, but I want it. I grabbed it in the ivory, but I wish I had other colors! I love the ribbed cuffs and the banded hem, and it’s so soft on the inside. For size reference, I’m wearing a small.
These joggers have a slim but relaxed fit with a slightly cropped leg, side pockets, and drawstring. They are designed with Vuori’s softest premium stretch fabric, and you can trust me when I say that they’re going to be your new go-to. For size reference, I’m wearing a small.
sweatshirt / pave huggie earrings / performance joggers / sneakers
If it’s the hot pink color you want, but the above sweatshirt isn’t available in your size, this one is awesome too!
This crop hoodie comes in several styles, and this is the full zip with the hood. Its fleece lined, it’s got thumbholes, and it has a really cool collar (seen better on the site). The sweatshirt is quite warm, and it’s so dang cute! For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.
It has fantastic reviews, and at just under $40 it’s an awesome deal.
zip up sweatshirt / performance joggers / sneakers
Here’s another zip up sweatshirt, but this time I paired it with these high waist flare pants. More on the pants in just a sec.
This sweatshirt is lighter weight than the one above, and this one isn’t lined with fleece. It’s also a bit more cropped. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.
These high waist flare pants have the same flattering and elongating properties as a slim boot cut pair of jeans, but you can wear them with a sweatshirt and sneakers! They are definitely more forgiving than a standard pair of fitted leggings, and I hope you will at least give them a try. For size reference, I’m wearing a small.

And here’s another outfit I highlighted on Monday’s post. Click HERE to see it in real photos.
half-zip pullover / denim jacket / pave huggie earrings / high waist flare pants / sneakers
This zip up sweatshirt is the same one as the hot pink one above, but in black. #obvi And see.. it’s cute with jeans too.

Here’s another close up look at the jeans. Again, I’m wearing a size 2.
This Utility Sherpa Jacket is one of my personal favorite finds from last year. I didn’t even know how much I loved it when I first posted about it in early December, but since that post, I’ve worn it pretty much non-stop. It’s definitely been my GO TO jacket for errands and dog walking. Oh, and it’s been perfect at the ranch.
It’s warm, cozy, and cute. It’s not long, but I really love that it is long enough to cover my backside. It’s a very relaxed fit, and I would say that it runs quite large. I’m wearing a small here, and I actually think an x-small might be even better.
Utility Sherpa Jacket / feather tee / Performance Jogger / sneakers
If you hate the idea of a fitted jacket with your lounge leggings, you can go in the exact opposite direction with this cozy wrap jacket.
It’s got a funnel neck collar, snap closure, and a super cozy fleece lining. I think the relaxed styling is a lot of fun. I would say it runs large because I’m in an extra small.

WHAT I’VE ORDERED ON AMAZON
- I’ve heard great things about this Method hand wash. It arrives tomorrow, and I’m so excited! It’s supposed to smell similar to Le Labo’s Santal 33.
- Cold plunging is all the rage right now. Rest assured, I will NEVER be a cold plunger. I’m way to big of a weenie for that, but I will entertain the idea of using this ice roller on my face. I’m going to try. I’ll report back.
- Chris added some flooring to our walk-in attic space, so now I am going to figure out a better way to store most of my Christmas stuff. I ordered these tubs, and I can’t wait to shove everything in them and then stack them on top of each other. 🙂
- I also ordered these Crest 3D White Strips. I haven’t done any whitening treatments in awhile, and these strips have fabulous reviews.

Now don’t forget to link up!

Wait a second… browning ground beef and layering it on Hawaiian rolls is so much easier than making individual burger patties. Where has this short cut been all my life? But no, just no to Velveeta.
Our church is doing a series called Underground/Rooted. The main question: does Jesus’ presence have deep, personal access to your life. Some of the sermon points are quite revealing.
Cold plunge NO, ice rolling YES. My teenagers have me hooked on it. Harder in the winter, but after a morning walk in the summer it’s amazing!
Sheaffer says
LOVING your comments this morning, Sandi!!! But YES to Velveeta slices. 😉 xoxo
Lauren says
I grabbed the Zella wrap last summer and I love it!
Joanne says
Off to check out some of these cute clothing items!
Erika Slaughter says
I almost missed this post this morning! I made similar sliders and added pickles before I melted the cheese! DELISH!
Kym @ A Fresh Cup of Coffee says
First time linking up here and I’m having fun getting acquainted. I started making cheeseburger sliders similar to yours last year and they were so easy and good that I wondered why I’d ever bothered making patties. 😉 I don’t watch much TV but I love The Office – so funny!
MindaC says
I had those camo pants and “outgrew” them. I had sort of forgotten them. Now I want to order another pair!
And I’m always yes to Velveeta which could be why my pants shrunk 🙂
Sheaffer says
MINDA! I lol’d!!! I hate it when my pants shrink, but I do love Velveeta. 😉
Laura says
Can you share with me a link for your Yellowstone baseball hat? Love it!!
Sheaffer says
Hi, Laura! Carter and Chris went to Scheel’s one night, and Carter wanted to buy it for me because he said it “looked like something I would wear”. 😉 So, it’s from Scheel’s! xoxo
