WHAT I’M REMINISCING ABOUT
If you didn’t see my post yesterday, my sweet dad went to be with Jesus on October 8th. I did a short walk down memory lane on yesterday’s post if you’d like to get a tiny peek into the cool guy and awesome dad he was. 😉 I’m of course so sad, but I’m also so thankful that he was mine, and I’m so grateful for the promise that I will see him again.

The day after my dad’s service we headed to the ranch for the weekend because we had booked a session for Carter’s senior pics. We’re supposed to get them in a week or so, but here’s just 1 sneak peek off of my phone. I’m so excited to see the professional photos!

I haven’t started watching yet because of everything that’s been going on, but I’m beyond thrilled that season 4 of The Diplomat is now out! I’m planning on doing some serious binge watching this weekend!
And Nobody Wants This is starting up a new season too! WooHoo!
I’m just sad I have to wait next year for a new season of Shrinking.

Because here’s the deal… we all know that our necks realllllllllllly show our age, but we often neglect our necks…so I decided back during the summer that I was going to start really paying attention to mine and doing everything I could to both prevent and even reverse some aging signs. WHAT I’M WEARING / SHOPPING FOR
In this portion of today’s post, I’m going to do a continuation of last Friday’s Style It Again, Sheaffer post.
Okay, y’all. I have a truly special sweater for you ladies. The color is GORGEOUS, the embroidery work is STUNNING, and the quality is INCREDIBLE. Oh, and the reviews are PERFECT. If you are looking for a piece with a wow factor, this cardigan is it. Wear it with jeans, wear it with a skirt, wear it with pants… just wear it. It’s expensive, but as I’ve always said, I’m sometimes willing to splurge on truly special pieces. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.
These jeans are the ones I’ve been screaming and shouting about for years that make you look taller and skinnier than you already are, and they are NOW ON SALE! I’m wearing a 4 in the jeans.

These washed black jeans added some needed dimension to my closet years ago, and I still reach for them all the time. They’re a heavier denim and have a bit more structure than most of my WW jeans, and I love them. They’re good with booties, with flats, with mules, and with fashion sneakers. They hit at the ankle and they have a frayed hem. I actually wish they were a little shorter (I’m 5’4″ with long legs for my height and no torso to speak of), so I’m thinking of cutting off a couple of extra inches myself.

This shirt dress is SUCH a good fall find! I love the rich olive color (so dark it almost looks brown), and the contrast stitching along the collar and button placket gives it a little something extra. The description says the fabric is a brushed wool, but I think it feels like a thin corduroy (if that makes sense). The relaxed shape is so easy to wear, while that flouncy hem keeps it fun and feminine. And I LOVE it paired with the tall neutral boots — such an easy fall look that feels pulled together without trying too hard. Add some fun jewelry and you’re DONE! For size reference, I’m wearing a medium, but I think I might could have done a small.

And while I’m not styling the exact dress from above again, I love the fit and overall style of the above dress so much that I thought you might want to see it in this fabulous stripe!
This is the same dress, but in a striped linen instead of a brushed wool. I love the mix of olive, berry, and neutral tones — it’s a perfect fall stripe. The classic button-down style is easy and polished, while that flouncy hem adds a fun, feminine touch. I love it styled with the tall suede boots and slouchy bag, and the colorful necklace pulls those berry tones out of the dress perfectly. Such a cute look for lunch, church, or a casual fall get-together! It would be great for fall family pics too.

This sweater is on the pricey side, but I happen to love it and think it’s worth it. It also comes in a brown-toned “oak” color, and I’m not going to lie, I wish I had it too. It’s a wonderfully relaxed fit, but it does run on the large side, so I would suggest sizing down. I’m in the small and it’s still plenty roomy. The collar, the banded hem, the buttons… all of it is so good.
These wide hem ankle jeans are fabulous. The wide-leg silhouette is so on trend, and the exaggerated hem detail is what makes them really special. They have a cool and updated feel without being too trendy, and the medium wash is perfect. They look especially cute with the slightly shorter sweater because the proportions work so well together. I’m wearing a 28. There are only 3 sizes left, so grab yourself a pair if you can!
