WHAT WE ARE EATING
Nothing new. Just the same old same old again and again. And I’m over it.
If anybody wants to leave a comment with your favorite summer dinner ideas, please do so!
If I get some good ideas, I’ll pull them together and post them in a future post!

WHAT I’M WORKING ON
I finally have the DENIM SHORTS REVIEW I’ve been talking about for like a month almost completed. I’m hoping it goes live early next week! I haven’t totally finished it yet, but these shorts are in my Top 3 for sure…
These NEW TO ME denim shorts have a 4 1/2″ inseam, so they are still short, but not too short. They don’t have any distressing at all, and they have a finished hem instead of a frayed hem. So these are the “cleanest” of the bunch I’m reviewing for sure. I’m wearing my regular size 4, but they are very stretchy and forgiving. If you are between sizes, I would recommend sizing down.

WHAT WE’VE BEEN UP TO
We went to the ranch for Memorial Day weekend with my sister’s family and my bestie’s family. My SIL was there with her family too, but somehow her kids didn’t make it into pictures. 🙁
We had the best time. I sure do love these people.

WHAT I’M LOVING
Last week during my morning quiet time, this little morning devotional really got me.
“… and they follow Him because they know His voice.” John 10:2-4
I pray that Carter will always know His voice. And I’m so thankful that Jesus doesn’t want to just be our King, he wants to be our shepherd as well.

I use this picture from Carter’s baptism as my bookmark. It makes me smile every single time I look at it. I’m just so incredibly thankful that he knows Jesus is his shepherd.

WHAT I’M EXCITED ABOUT
I placed my Father’s Day order for Chris yesterday, and I am feeling incredibly accomplished. Last year I gave him 2 Poncho shirts and a Poncho hat, and he absolutely raves about both shirts every single time he wears them.
He mentioned the other day that he wanted more shirts, so this is a total no brainer gift for me to grab.
His favorite shirts they offer are the Original. Last year I got him the camo hat (not available anymore), the Kahala, and the Copano. This year I plan on getting him 3 different patterns/colors of the Original (which will unlock a small free gift like a key chain or koozie and a t-shirt too). I know he will love all of it, and I get to be done with just 1 check out! WIN WIN! I haven’t decided which 3 shirts I’m getting for this year, but I’ll share those on Friday’s post.
This was the order from last year…
Again, this is the Kahala and the Copano (looks like not available at this time) from my order last year. The Kahala was his favorite for sure.

WHAT WE’RE WATCHING
We’re watching Dutton Ranch, and while we’re only on episode 3, we can confidently say that we are hooked.

We’re also watching Marshalls, and although I love Luke Grimes and his “Kayce” character on Yellowstone, we find the Marshalls series to be pretty dang cheesy. We’re still watching it, but we’re doing a lot of eye rolling and loud sighing as we’re watching. Haha!

WHAT I’M WEARING / SHOPPING FOR
Do you remember this outfit plan I put together last week? Well, I just had to order the dress (especially since I already had the necklace, the shoes, and the bracelets). 😉
eyelet dress / turquoise chunky heart necklace / colorful bracelet set / clutch / raffia block heels

Well here it is in real life…
(But first, I do want to say that the lighting was really strange on the day I took these first three pics because it was storming like crazy outside. The colors are a bit off… I look paler than I actually was and the colors look less vibrant than they actually are.) #disclaimer 🙂
This first dress is actually a punchy pink and orange that is very bright and happy in real life! It’s 100% cotton and lined with a split neck and subtle puff sleeves. The eyelet embroidery work is so pretty and could definitely pass for a $250 Tuckernuck dress. This was an instant favorite for me, and I think it looks great with the turquoise heart necklace. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.
It also come in navy/white and blue/Kelly green. All colorways are great!

This is another dress that just slips over your head and is so easy to wear. (Y’all know I prefer my dresses to not have zippers.) It’s a cute pink floral on a green background, it’s very lightweight, and the flutter sleeves and short hemline make it a little bit flirty. Again, the pictures make the colors appear muted, but they aren’t in real life. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.

This white floral dress has a bright white background and a pretty paisley floral pattern all over. It’s got a split neck, an elastic waist you can cinch in, and a little hot pink ric rack trim on the hem. It’s a really fun dress! For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.

This orange floral top is darling! The color is gorgeous, the floral pattern is playful, and I love the split neck and subtle puff sleeves. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium. It’s from the same maker as the three dresses directly above. Click HERE to check out everything the brand has to offer. It’s carried at Nordstrom, but it all has a very boutique feel.

The shorts are the same ones you seedirectly above and the same ones I featured at the top of my post saying they are definitely in my Top 3 denim shorts this year. On this particular day, I paired them with a blouse I’ve already shown you several times.
I showed you this Peter Pan collar blouse in black first, and I loved it so much that I grabbed it in white too. It was one of my personal tip top finds last month, so I just knew I had to get it in white. It’s a super cute fit, and I know I will reach for it all the time. You couldn’t really see all of the pretty details on the black top, but you can see them all on this classic white! It’s tailored, but totally feminine and girly. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium (size down if between sizes).

If you’re like me and love a super relaxed fit top, this peplum blouse is going to be right up your alley. It’s light, it’s airy, it’s flouncy, and it’s fabulous. It’s a little boho, but not at all over the top. I had to have the black, but it also comes in a pretty pink floral pattern and a pretty light green floral too. I’m wearing the medium, but I would size down if between sizes. (FYI: It comes in two light small florals that are NOW ON SALE.)
These olive wide leg jeans are incredibly comfy and have quite a bit more stretch than the cream ones, and the wide leg isn’t quite as wide. I actually like the fit of these better. And my goodness they are the perfect match for this top. For size reference, I’m wearing my regular size 4. I’ll style these pants with solid white, solid black, light pink, and stripes… and that’s just off the top of my head.

What’s better than seersucker in the summer? Almost nothing!
The orange and blue color combo on this dress is adorable, the orange accents on the neckline and sleeves really pop, and I love the shape and fit. AND THE SEERSUCKER, y’all! I’m obsessed with the seersucker. I seriously love everything about this dress. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium. (I think I could have done a small, but I needed a medium in the chest.) This one comes in extended sizing from XS to XXXL.
orange and blue dress / turquoise heart necklace / multicolor bracelet set / gold bracelet stack / raffia block heels ON SALE

This dress is so unique with the block floral print and all the details. I think it’s so pretty! It’s easy, elevated, lightweight, and effortless. It has subtle puff sleeves and beautiful scalloped detailing along the neckline and hem. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium. It’s a very relaxed fit, so you can size down if between sizes.
dress / turquoise heart necklace / multicolor bracelet set / gold bracelet stack / raffia block heels ON SALE

The same print comes in a blouse too, with the same colors, pattern, and scallop detailing. The top isn’t cut as generously as the dress. I’m wearing a medium in the top, but I definitely need a medium (where I could probably take a small in the dress).
button up / multicolor stone necklace / multicolor bracelet set / gold bracelet stack / Kut jeans / tan raffia sandals

This pinstripe top is so charming. It’s got a very subtle pinstripe background with embroidered dots and navy and hot pink accents. I think it looks like an expensive Tuckernuck piece too. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.
These wide leg cream jeans are adorable and so on trend. But although they’re called “cream”, they don’t lean yellow like many creams do, so I think of them more like an ecru. They’re just a perfect neutral. They’ve got a great amount of stretch, but they still manage to maintain their shape. And although they are definitely a wide leg, I think they are still quite flattering. For size reference, I’m wearing my regular size 4.

SOME SALE ITEMS
This is my 2nd year (or maybe even 3rd?) with these sandals and right now they are 33% OFF (the lowest price I have EVER seen them). They keep bringing them back because they’re just that good. I already tried to buy a new pair of sandals this year, but so far I haven’t found any I like as much as these. They’re totally casual enough to wear with cut-offs, but they also look great with a dress!
They are stylish, comfortable, and the raffia detail coupled with the buckle is such a fun combination. I’m wearing the “cuoio” which is a nice and rich brown. True to size for me.

If you’ve held off this long, it’s seriously time to give in! I mean, 33% OFF!

This dress is on super sale and is super adorable.

I am having a moment with orzo. Orzo, chicken broth, spinach, fresh parm, and a bit of heavy cream – oh and some lemon. I go up to a little market and get lemon grilled chicken breast. Super easy.
BLTS, loaded baked potatoes, super easy stuff right now. I would love you to compile a list.
All the outfits are so cute in this post. I want them all!

I made this recipe yesterday and feel like the meat has such great flavor. I think I am going to make taco bowls with the leftovers. Super easy recipe. I made my own taco seasoning instead of a packet and used the salsa brand as in the video.

Thank you, Brooke!!!! Going to check it out!

Well goodness, I did not expect to get teary this morning reading your blog. Thank YOU for sharing a portion from your devotional. How cool that the God of the Universe knows our voice? It’s such a simple and yet profound thought. It means everything.
