Today’s post is one of my favorite posts each and every month. Today I’m sharing your Top 12 picks from June.
Not surprisingly, many of y’alls top picks are in my top picks for the month as well. 10 out of the 12 items I’m featuring today are items that I added to my own closet (or already owned), and because of that they are items that you will continue to see on the blog. The ones that I don’t own (yet) were featured in collages and y’all just bought them up!
And what’s extra great about this month’s favorites list is that 10 of the items are UNDER $100, some are under $80, and a some are under $50. 1) crewneck beach sweater / I bought a white summer sweater from Loft probably 5-6 years ago that was very similar to this sweater. I loved that Loft sweater so much that by the end of the season I also had an olive green one, a hot pink one, and a white and navy striped one. All 4 still hang in my closet today, and I still wear all four (although they are finally beginning to show signs of wear). I mean, it isn’t surprising since I’ve worn them and washed them countless times over the years. (FUNNY STORY: Just last month I wore the white and navy striped one and washed it with a new red top on accident. It came out of the washing machine light pink and navy, and I actually love it! It’s got a new life! Haha!)

This sweater is a perfect staple for everybody to have at least 1 in their closet. It’s great for spring, but since it’s super lightweight, you’ll also find it’s good all the way thru summer. I will say that the sizing does seem a bit inconsistent, but that’s okay. I have a medium in all 3 colors, but the white one seems a bit bigger than the others. I would say you might want to consider sizing down if between sizes, but I like the relaxed fit of the medium on me.

I’m sorry, but how good is this neutral stripe? Totally classic and oh so chic. And you’re not going to believe it, but this wood necklace is under $10 on Amazon.

You knew I’d pair the neutral stripe with my cream jeans, right? 😉 And with my favorite new chunky heart turquoise necklace (that also made this month’s list).
These wide leg cream jeans are adorable and so on trend. But although they’re called “cream”, they don’t lean yellow like many creams do, so I think of them more like an ecru. They’re just a perfect neutral. They’ve got a great amount of stretch, but they still manage to maintain their shape. And although they are definitely a wide leg, I think they are still quite flattering. For size reference, I’m wearing my regular size 4.

These light wash kick flare jeans have 150 reviews and most of them are 5 stars, so I’m not the only one that loves them. They are lightweight, stretchy, and flattering! I think you’ll find yourself reaching for them all year long. True to size, I’m wearing a 27.

2) mini Jane necklace / So I think we all know that statement necklaces are back, baby! I’ve purchased several new necklaces over the last several months, and I love how they can transform an outfit!
The mini Jane necklaces are definitely a favorite. You can of course wear them one at a time, but I find that stacking two together is my favorite way to wear them, and I’ve been wearing them constantly.

This linen set is definitely expensive, but my goodness it is OH SO CHIC. The eyelet pattern is gorgeous, and I’m absolutely OBSESSED with the scallops on the blouse and the shorts. I’m wearing a medium in the top and a small in the shorts.
If you wanted the set to look a bit dressier, you could wear it without the neutral cami at all and show some skin. Now that’s not for me, but maybe that’s for you! 😉 You could also of course pair this outfit with a black cami instead.

These necklaces look good with everything. Like this dress that I’m totally and completely smitten with. This floral shirt dress is one that gives me $240 Tuckernuck vibes, but it’s Under $100! In fact, it’s only $88 and I’m hoping it’s now 30% OFF of that! It’s got a banded collar, a v-neckline, a belted waist, and it’s fully lined. It’s beautifully made and looks like a much more expensive dress than it actually is. This is on the shorter side (which y’all know I happen to like), but if you’re above 5’8″ or so, I’m not sure if it will work for you. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.

3) swimsuit / I grabbed this swimsuit in May and can’t say enough good things about it. It is soooo flattering because of the cut of it and the ruching, but it’s also incredibly comfortable. And I love the halter straps. And the pattern and colors? LOVE. I feel so good about myself in it… and there is obviously no bigger endorsement for a swimsuit!

I’m going to go out on a limb and say it’s the most flattering swimsuit I’ve ever put on my body. Its pads are perfectly sewn in place and don’t move at all (the sign of a really great swimsuit), so I actually won’t be needing to wear CAKES with this suit, but I will with every single other suit I own! There are even pics on the site of people wearing the triangle CAKES with triangle bikini tops.

5) pintuck blouse / This pleated top is probably my favorite top in my closet right now. The color is so bright and happy, and the little pintucks across the shoulders, down the bodice, and on the sleeves are fantastic. And look at the ruffle on the sleeves too! The v-neckline and the relaxed and swingy fit make this top PERFECT for me. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium. If between sizes, you might consider sizing down.

This skirt is fantastic. I love the bright cheerful lilac color and tiny stripe. It’s a 100% cotton poplin and it has an elastic waist and pockets. It looks great with flat sandals, but I’d also wear it with wedges and sneakers! For size reference, I’m wearing a small.

7) denim shorts / These denim shorts are freakin’ fantastic, y’all. They are a button-up fly, which I don’t normally love, but I really love these shorts. I like how they are very comfy, but not too short. They have a frayed hem (I cut off some of the long and straggly pieces), but they shorts are not distressed. Most reviewers say to size down, but I ordered my regular size and like the really relaxed fit.
I’m so excited about this neutral henley sweater. Now, the site shows it without a cami under it, but you can see here that it’s a very open weave so I will definitely be wearing a cami. I’m wearing a medium, and it’s a perfectly relaxed fit. I love it with these denim shorts, but you’ll see it styled a couple of different ways later in the post.

This striped sweater is perfect for spring and summer. The light pink paired with the vibrant orange is DARLING, and the relaxed fit is my favorite. I’m loving it with the denim shorts, but think how cute it would be with white or cream jeans. For size reference, I’m wearing a small.

This block print top is such a unique color combination, and I love the mixed prints. It has a relaxed fit (can be worn tucked or out) and has a longer sleeve which y’all know I love. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium. If you don’t have a large chest, I think you could probably size down.

I fell in love with this flag sweater the second I saw it and knew I had to have it. The neutral background and the swingy fit give the relaxed vibe that I totally want in a sweater like this. If you live somewhere that you’re still having some cool summer nights, GET THIS SWEATER! Even if you don’t, you should probably still get this sweater. 😉 It’s soooooo soft, very lightweight, and just DARLING. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.

You know the pink and red stripes grabbed ahold of me and didn’t let go. The colors are just so fun and vibrant! Now listen, this is a super boxy fit. I happen to like a boxy fit, but if you don’t, this is not the sweater for you. I sized down to a small and am very glad I did because it’s still plenty roomy.
I almost wore my multicolor mini Jane necklace, but then I thought it was unexpected to pair my olive mini Jane with my gold heart turquoise necklace and ended up loving the stack!

I showed a similar top to this last month (or maybe the month before) from a different boutique, but the colors and patterns were different. I like this one better and it’s NOW ON SALE. I think the color combos and pattern mixings are unexpected, but I think it’s a really cool look.
I also knew to size down with this one (because the other one was definitely too big) and this small fits much better than the medium did. I would definitely recommend sizing down.

This striped sweater is crazy soft, lightweight, and totally made for spring and summer (although it would also look great under a military or denim jacket). And y’all know I love the longer sleeve length. It’s UNDER $25 and comes in tons of colors.

I’m completely smitten with this springy striped cardigan. I’m wearing the blue here, but there are around 12 other colorways to choose from (and you’ve seen me in the green stripe before). It’s super feminine, and I love it worn all buttoned up (without a tee under it) with denim shorts. This would also look really great with my favorite ecru jeans.

8) palm print shorts / Y’all know I love a set, right? I really love a casual lounge set, and I’ve shown you so many of those over the years. On occasion I find a dressy set I love too.
Maybe you remember this one from a couple of weeks ago. I thought this one was so cute that I immediately ordered both pieces. And I got the necklace too (also in the Top 12 this month). Look how cute!

And guess what! I love the pieces even more in person! The neutral graphic botanical pattern is such a vibe.
Both pieces are a linen blend, and when paired together, they almost look like a romper. It’s hard to tell here, but the blouse has a tie at the waist. I’m wearing a medium in the top and a small in the shorts, but I think I might prefer a medium in the shorts so they would have a more relaxed fit.

9) denim shorts / These denim shorts ARE SO GOOD. They have a 6″ inseam, so they provide a good amount of length, but I don’t feel matronly in them at all! I just feel covered, but cute. Basically, I still feel like a cool and hip mom, while managing to stay totally age appropriate. They are slim cut (which makes them flattering), but I love the roominess of the leg opening. I’m wearing my regular size 4. Also, they’re pretty affordable at $79!!!

I’m always getting asked for a white tee recommendation. I feel like the one I’m wearing here is a dang near perfect white tee. It’s a good medium weight, it’s not see-thru at all, it holds its shape, it’s a great length (not to short or long), and it’s not boxy (but it’s not fitted either). For size reference, I’m wearing a medium. It has 364 reviews, and the great majority are 5 stars, so the people agree. 😉

The ric rac trim and the mix of floral and striped patterns make this top so so charming. I like it with a 1/2 tuck, but you can see on the left that the wide banded hem make it great worn out too. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium, but I definitely need a small. It doesn’t look like it in these pictures, but it’s quite roomy all over. I would definitely suggest sizing down 1 size.

Well, ladies. It’s my favorite green! This top has an all over eyelet embroidery that is adorable. Be aware that the eyelet is open and the top isn’t lined, but I still don’t feel like I need to wear a cami under it. And the elastic banded hem with the little ruffle trim makes this top extra special. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.

This lace pintuck top jumped into my cart last month, and I’m so glad it did! It has fluttery sleeves, a flowy fit, and great details. I love the textured lattice pattern, the split neck, and the soft pleats. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.

It’s AMAZING. It’s MAGICAL. It’s SERIOUSLY FANTASTIC.
I would give it 10 stars if I could. You use the green trays you see below to put the strips in your mouth, and they are so much more user friendly (and less yucky and slimy) than Crest Whitestrips.
I actually bought it the first time thru my dentist when I was checking out at my last appointment in December so it could be one more thing under the tree for Carter. Well, when Chris and I saw how well it worked on Carter’s teeth (in such a short time), I bought a box for us too. You will notice a difference after just 2 treatments. And after about 5 treatments you will be WOWed!!! The box comes with 10 trays. And it was about $15 cheaper on Amazon than it was when I bought it at my dentist!

Carter has whitened his teeth with Crest Whitestrips before, but he HATED how the strips felt on his teeth. He thought they were slimy, didn’t really stay put, and to be honest… they didn’t really seem to work on him.
These are more like a molded mouth guard and the results are incredible.
The whitening trays are within the green trays. You place the green trays on your teeth, you bite down to set them in place, and then you remove the green trays. (I have no idea why the below graphic is in Spanish, please disregard. Haha.)

12) linen shirt dress / This dress is a lightweight linen blend, fits great, and is fully lined. I really love the neckline because it allows you to show off a necklace, and the subtle puff sleeves add interest without being too overwhelming. The little tie belt adds some nice definition at the waist, and the buttons going all the way down the front are lovely. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.
