March Amazon Haul | STAY AT HOME Edition

Happy Friday, ladies!

Well, this Amazon haul is going to be a bit different than Amazon hauls in the past, but I’m hoping it’s going to be super helpful and a great resource for all of you.

Everything you are going to see in today’s post is a tried and true favorite of mine from over the last year and a half, BUT IT’S ALL STUFF THAT MAKES SENSE FOR THE QUARANTINE LIFE THAT WE ARE ALL LIVING RIGHT NOW.

I’ve been on the receiving end of tons and tons of messages from y’all over the last week.  We are all just trying our best to settle in to our new normal as much as possible, and from what everybody is saying, it seems that we all want to be comfy at home.  But here’s the deal, we definitely want to be getting dressed.

Just like me, y’all are saying that you stayed in pajamas for the first several days of this lockdown business.  I mean, WHAT WAS THE POINT of getting dressed to just go to our living rooms?   Well, I found that I need to get dressed for my sanity, and your messages to me support the fact that lots of you agree.

For me, when I get dressed, I feel more normal.

And when I feel more normal, I’m happier.

I’m also more productive.

Those two days when I stayed in my pajamas all day, I was GOOD FOR NOTHIN.

I much prefer to feel happy and productive, so now I’m getting dressed each day!

Because of this, although today’s post does have a handful of pajamas (because we all need those too!), it also has outfit ideas that make sense for the fact that you’re not leaving home, BUT YOU’RE STILL GETTING DRESSED AND FEELING LIKE A PRODUCTIVE MEMBER OF SOCIETY.  I’m featuring some products too that y’all will be thrilled with if you love them even 1/2 as much as I do.

CUTE PAJAMAS

These are some of my favorite pajamas EVER.  When you click over to them, choose the size you would like, and then the pajamas that are available in your size will be highlighted.

I’m wearing the dark blue stripe.  As always, I ordered a medium in the pajamas because I never want to be wearing pajamas that are too snug.  The mediums in the bottoms are a bit big on me, but I do think I require a medium in the top for it not to pull.  If you have a smaller chest, I think you could stick with your regular size and still have room.

I’m very impressed with the quality on these.  They are VERY soft, VERY stretchy, and VERY comfy.  I’ve washed them no less than 25 times, and they hold up beautifully in the wash!

I’m totally pumped about all 3 pieces in this next picture.

A fleece sweatshirt, pajama shorts, and a big floppy headband?  YES, PLEASE!

The sweatshirt is UNDER $10, the pajama shorts are UNDER $15, and you can get a 4 pack of the head bands for UNDER $20!  I’ve been wearing this little get up around the house all weekend long.  The head band is perfect to throw on when washing your face or masking, so I got my mask on several times this weekend.  I’m wearing a medium in the sweatshirt and a small in the shorts.

Y’all know I love a great pair of pajama/lounge pants, AND BOY HAVE I GOT A GREAT PAIR OF PAJAMA PANTS FOR YOU.  They come in 2 striped options (navy and grey) and 4 solid color options.  They all have the cute little tie, and I think the fit is so cute.  And they are of course soft and comfy. For size reference, I’m wearing a small in the pants, and I would suggest sizing down if between sizes.

The tee is one you’ve seen before.  It’s definitely cute enough to wear out and about, but it’s definitely comfy enough for lounge wear and even to sleep in if you wish.  For size reference, I’m wearing a small.

Who agrees with me that pants are totally optional in your own home?

When I am wearing pants in the house (it does happen occasionally), it’s almost always an elastic waistband.  I love these little shorts I found and want them in all the colors.  I sized up to a medium because I always want plenty of room in my lounge wear.

The shorts are ONLY $10 right now!  Sizes are limited.  And fyi, this is the Walmart tee THAT I LOVE.  It’s a thicker tee than my Madewell tees, and it’s awesome.

Speaking of no pants, this tunic tee has become one of my very favorite things to sleep in.  It’s so incredibly soft that my favorite way to wear it is as a night shirt!

I absolutely love sleeping in it, so I now own three.  I’m wearing a small, but if you want it longer, size up.

PRODUCTS FOR QUARANTINE

I have a handful of products from Amazon that I’ve talked about over the last year, and they are items that I use
CONSTANTLY.

First up, these blue light glasses.  I know we are all staring at computers and devices more than normal, so now is the time to grab a pair of these babies if you haven’t already!

If you don’t know what blue light glasses are, they serve a purpose besides just being cute.  They block ultraviolet radiation from computers and t.v. screens, they provide 100% UV400 protection, and they filter harmful blue light.  By blocking these lights, these special glasses are supposed to help with headaches and eye strain for those of us that stare at computers all day long.  I do get headaches on days I spent a lot of time on the computer (which is a lot of days), so I was excited to give them a try.  Who are we kidding, even if they would have had 1 star I would have ordered them.  #becauseGLASSES

Now that I’ve owned them for months now, I can say that they definitely reduce my tired eyes and headaches.

So, my verdict:  CUTE AND HELPFUL!

OKAY, LADIES.  This next product has literally been LIFE CHANGING FOR ME.  And I’m not even being dramatic.  Now is the perfect time to buy something like this to try it out!

I’m CRAZY about the Revlon One Step Hair Dryer and Volumizer Brush.

Like borderline psychotic.  I might have told the sweet high school girl that was bagging my groceries about it.  And then the lady in line behind me.  #allegedly #okayidid #theyneededtoknow I love it sooooo SOOOOOOO much.  Yes, I have the super expensive Dyson dryer, and I do still love it.  But this one is over $300 less, and I love it too.

Here’s what I love the most about it:  it’s sooo hard to get the bumpy ridges out of the back of my hair…AND DARE I SAY, THIS $60 TOOL MAKES IT EASY.  Did you hear that?  I SAID EASY. I know it’s pretty unbelievable, but it’s true.  I’ve used it 3 times since getting it last week, and I already convinced 2 friends and a cousin that they both need to get it.

My friend Erika raved about it for soooo long…and then Shay raved about it…..I have no idea what took me so long.  Don’t be like me, just get it!!!

*** Do you see the fan in front of me?  It’s my new best friend.  I mean, I feel like it kept me from stroking out when trying on winter clothes at Nordstrom under the dressing room lights on the opening day of the Anniversary Sale.  And for that, I’m forever grateful.  And now, I find myself using it when drying my hair.  I’ll also be using it at outdoor soccer games.  It holds a charge for hours and hours and really does put out an incredible amount of air flow for such a small device.

The brush is UNDER $60, so it’s a jaw dropping value.  And look how smooth and silky my hair is!

These sheets are truly amazing and an incredible value!  And heaven knows we all deserve amazing sheets, especially right now!

They are soft, they are crisp, they are cool, and they have over 80,000 5 star reviews!  Everybody loves these sheets, and they are now on every bed in our house.  I also bought two sets of twin sheets for when Carter and I went to camp.  They are cheap enough to do that!  But forget the price, THE QUALITY IS EXCELLENT.

I totally swear by this Fake Bake Flawless Self Tanning Liquid.  And I’ve heard from soooo many readers that y’all are super impressed too!

GIRLS. THIS PRODUCT IS FANTASTIC.

Second to getting a professional spray tan, this is the best and most natural looking “tan” I’ve ever had.  And I realize that we aren’t going anywhere right now, but it’s always fun to be tan.  Haha!

It comes with a mitt, you spray the product on the mitt, and then you rub the product on your body in circular motions.  The great thing about this tanner is that you can see it going on, so you can see if you are missing areas and then fix them.  You immediately see a difference in color, but the tan continues to develop a bit over the next 15-20 minutes.

The picture below shows the results about 10 minutes after I applied it.  WOW, RIGHT?  It lasts for about 3 days, and I’m telling you, the color is amazing and so natural looking!  Also, the right leg shows 1 application.  If you wanted a deeper color, you could just repeat the process!  Plus, the photo doesn’t really do the real live difference much justice.  I’m telling you.  IT’S SO GOOD.

This LED Makeup Mirror is truly amazing, but I’m not sure if you are going to thank me or hate me.  I mean, now that we have all this extra time at home, we might as well use it to pluck and pick our faces, right?

The first time I looked into the lit 7x side, I WAS SHOCKED.  I might even go so far as to say horrified.  #wishiwaskidding

I couldn’t believe how many stray eyebrow hairs I had. But I have to say, after getting over the initial panic, I LOVE THIS MIRROR.  The reflection is bright, the lights provide awesome illumination without being too harsh (when putting on makeup), and it looks great on my bathroom counter.  I think that EVERYBODY needs this mirror.  Treat yourself and/or give as a gift.

CUTE AND COMFY CLOTHES FOR QUARANTINE

This drop shoulder sweatshirt is straight up awesome. I showed it to you last month with leggings, but I’ve enjoyed wearing it with my joggers too.  It’s a super soft fleece and modal blend with ribbing at the hem and cuffs. It’s sooooooooooooo soft and soooooooooooooo cozy. And it’s completely leggings appropriate. I’m wearing a small in both the sweatshirt and the leggings. I highly recommend this sweatshirt, and you already know I highly recommend the joggers and the sneakers. Size down a 1/2 in the sneakers.

And since I know I’ll get questions on if you can wear the sweatshirt with leggings, you totally can!   I’m in a small sweatshirt, and it’s still long enough for leggings.

This hoodie is AWESOME.  First of all, it’s flattering, which is always a very important criteria for me.  I WANT FLATTERING. ALWAYS.

There’s just something about the way it’s cut and the design and placement of the bottom band and the pockets that just make it a great little jacket for leggings. I mean, I think it would be great with jeans too, but it really is perfect with leggings.  And it’s just the kind of think I’m wearing around the house right now so I can feel dressed, but still be super comfy.

I loved this vibrant blue, but there are 5 other available colors as well.  My other favorite color is the dark grey space dye.  AND LADIES.  IT’S ONLY $25 (or less depending on the color)!

And do we need to talk about the sneakers and the leggings again?  I’m going to sum up my recommendation for both in 2 words:  GET. THEM.

Seriously.  Get them both.  And go ahead and throw in the hoodie and the earrings.

These Amazon joggers ARE FANTASTIC too, they are just much thicker than the cropped version mentioned above.  I ordered these after fielding lots of requests for some affordable full length joggers. I love the Lou and Grey ones (but they are more expensive) and the Gibson ones (they are quite a bit thinner) so much, but these new Amazon ones are thick and a great price. And I really like the exaggerated height on the cuff at the ankle.  And I feel like I can’t have too many joggers.

So these are heavier than the other ones I own, and I love the closer fit and how these are higher waisted.  They aren’t as baggy as my other joggers either, and I feel like they are very flattering.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Some reviewers complained of a chemical smell, and lots of you have asked me about it, but mine don’t smell AT ALL. Other readers have chimed in and said the same thing.  They must have fixed the issue!

This pullover feels like a light fleece and is oh so cozy.   It’s a light layer to wear around the house now if y’all keep your houses chilly like we do. I love the blush I’m wearing, but it also comes in olive and light grey.  Some readers report pilling, but I haven’t experienced that.  If it starts pilling though, I’ll be ready!  I just ordered this handy dandy little gadget that gets rid of pilling that I’ve been hearing RAVE reviews about.

If you wear leggings, this split hem tunic tee is something you need in your closet.  It’s soft, it skims the body (but doesn’t hug it at all), and it covers the booty!  I sized up to a medium so it would be long enough for leggings.  If I was going to only wear it with jeans (it would be great with jeans and a cardi), I would have stuck with a small.

Okay, y’all!  THE JEANS!

I grabbed the jeans on Amazon, and they are the Democracy brand. I’m not sure how this works, but I think Democracy is a sister brand to Wit and Wisdom, so all of you Wit and Wisdom lovers need to pay extra close attention.  They are officially called jeggings because of their extreme stretch, but they DO have a functional button and zipper.

They are super stretchy (but don’t stretch out or sag during the day!) and are super similar to the Wit and Wisdom jeans with the Ab-solution technology that we all know and love.  They boast a no gap waistband, slimming mesh panels, and booty lift technology. The jeans also come in a dark indigo, black (a great option if the jeggings above weren’t available in your size), grey, and a non distressed version of the medium wash that I’m in below.

There’s nothing I love much more than a hoodie.  Except maybe a camo hoodie that’s ONLY $20.

This hoodie is similar in style and shape to the one above, but it’s a little bit lighter and a little bit softer.  This will definitely be a staple for me.  Because of the fabric, it feels a bit nicer than just a regular ol’ sweatshirt.  It too comes in several color options.

I’ve got another dress for you.  It’s just a regular ol’ t-shirt dress, but I’m telling you, you’ll reach for it time and time again.  This one is a dark olive green, but it comes in different heathered solids and some stripe combos well.

It’s a good one and is under $17.  I’m wearing a small.

Want a romper that you can live in?  Look no further.  It’s soft and comfy enough to wear to sleep, but it’s cute enough that you can wear it around town as well.  Slip it on and go!  I’m wearing my regular small, and it’s still got room.  I haven’t washed it yet, but I read reviews that said it washes well.  It also comes in navy, black, and a small stripe!

Oh.  AND IT HAS POCKETS.

It also comes in a sleeveless version from the same maker HERE and a sleeveless jumpsuit version HERE. Both have FANTASTIC reviews.  Any of these would be great to throw on with a denim jacket for travel.

This is totally basic, BUT I LOVE IT.

I bought it in the heathered navy a couple of posts ago, so I knew I would wear this one all the time too.  I sized up in this, even though all other reviewers say either true to size or size down. It is really oversized, but I like it that way.  Still, I would NOT suggest sizing up.  Your regular size should be just fine.

It’s SUPER SOFT, CRAZY GOOD, and I just feel good in it!

This tee is stupid soft.

It appears I’m very into blush these days, but it also comes in black, heather grey, navy, and a couple of small stripe options.  True to form, I’ve already ordered the white and black skinny stripe (it will be SO CUTE under a military jacket).

It too is a very relaxed fit, although it is shorter in length. I like the v neck and the small roll sleeves. I’m wearing a small in the tee.  This top would look great with white jeans, denim jeans, black jeans, and grey jeans.  It would also look awesome with a pair of joggers!

Talk about a dress that’s good for now and later!   The reviews are mixed on this dress…people either love it or hate it…but I love it.   Lots of people refer to it as being “boxy” like that’s a bad thing….but I don’t think it’s boxy.  I just think it’s a relaxed fit (WHICH I LOVE AND PREFER).

How about a jersey dress for $18.50?  SERIOUSLY.  EIGHTEEN DOLLARS AND FIFTY CENTS.  And it’s SO SOFT and SO CUTE.  This is the navy and white stripe, but there’s also a black and white stripe as well as several solid colors.

For size reference, I’m wearing a small in the dress and a medium in the jacket.  After getting the medium, I think the small would have been totally fine, but I’m going to keep the medium.  You’ll be seeing this baby in lots of future Amazon posts, so go ahead and make friends with it.

A good soft cardi is something that I’m wearing a lot right now, and this is a really good one.  It comes in 14 color choices (this one is the blush), and I’m wearing a small.

I’ve got another great everyday tee for you!  The last one was made special with tiers and pleats, this one is special because of the ruffled sleeves and the tie front waist.  I’m wearing a small.
