If you’ve read this blog for a bit, you know I tend to be pretty loyal to my undergarments and their brands.
So, last October when ThirdLove first reached out and asked me to review a couple of their bras, I wasn’t really interested. I mean, I already had a bra brand that I loved. I mean, really loved. However, the range of sizes and 1/2 cup sizes that Third Love offered intrigued me, and I got excited to try their bras!
The bras I’ve recommended previously didn’t go below a B cup, and I knew there were lots of you out there that were disappointed that my recommendation didn’t include A cup sizes. WELL. ThirdLove bras not only include A cup sizes….they also include 1/2 cup sizes! WHAAAAAAAAAAAT? I mean, this is genius, right? If you are one of those people that has pretty much never found a bra that you love, these 1/2 cup size options could be a game changer for you. Per ThirdLove’s site…it turns out that 50% of women sizes A-E fall in between standard cup sizes. I mean, of course that makes sense! If you have ever had a feeling that you were between cup sizes, I bet you are jumping for joy right now! And girls……some of their bras come in 32AA-42G. That’s a pretty impressive range of sizing!
For this collaboration, I was given the opportunity to pick 3 bras to review. I chose the 24/7 Lace Balconette Bra, the Font Closure Lace Racerback , and the 24/7 Classic T-Shirt Bra. I loved 2 out of the 3, but 1 of them didn’t work for me at all.
Before we get to the bra reviews, let’s talk about some of the awesome features of the company!
TRY BEFORE YOU BUY PROGRAM
There are certain bras that qualify for their TRY BEFORE YOU BUY PROGRAM, including the 24/7 Classic T-Shirt Bra, the 24/7 Classic Full Coverage Bra, and the Classic Push Up bra.

THIRDLOVE FIT FINDER
If unsure of your bra size, the company has created a series of simple questions in their FIT FINDER. And since 9/10 dentists agree that something like 99.99% of women wear the wrong size bra, this could come in handy for many of you. ???? #sometimesicrackmyselfup
Click HERE to check the Fit Finder out! First, you choose the shape of your breast. And y’all. There are 9 different shapes to choose from (with drawings to help you identify your boobs)! Seriously! Fyi: my boobs are bell shaped. And if “saggy bell” would have been a category, I would have checked that box. ???? They then give you 7 choices of different types of fit issues you may or may not be having. You can choose “none”, or you can choose all that apply (ex. straps digging in, cup overflow, etc)! Other survey questions: what cup type is your style, and what size is your favorite bra. All questions were easy to answer (thanks to the handy dandy illustrations), and the survey took less than a minute to complete!
AND NOW IT’S TIME FOR THE PRODUCT REVIEWS!
Take a look at these pretty bras! But let’s be real, pretty only goes so far. ARE THEY COMFY? DO THEY OFFER ADEQUATE SUPPORT? DO THEY GIVE A NICE SHAPE? These are the hard hitting questions that I wanted answers to. 😉
First Up, the the 24/7 Classic T-Shirt Bra. I introduced this bra to you ladies last October, and it’s been one of 4 bras in regular rotation at my house ever since. For my first post I got a neutral nude, but this time I got the tea rose color for Spring and Summer. When I did the FIT FINDER last year, this is the bra that was recommended for me. I wasn’t so sure, because I thought the cups weren’t going to have enough coverage (and I hate to have any spillage). But guess what….they were right, and I love this bra. The material is soft, stretchy, and feels great against my skin. My favorite features are the molded cups that are nicely rounded and hold their shape, without the use of heavy padding or push up technology. I don’t need MORE, I just like a rounded shape without spillage, and this bra provides that. It also has a pretty accordion straps. If you wear a lot of tank tops over the summer, one of these bras in a pretty color would be great to wear in case part of your strap shows.
In addition to the above t-shirt bra, one of the 4 bras I’ve been wearing for awhile now is the Classic Full Coverage Bra (shape seen on the far left). And I’ve got some really cool news to report. Both the 24/7 t shirt bra and the classic full coverage bra now come in New Naked shades. Until recently, a “nude” bra was pretty much always just a shade of beige. But if you think about it for more than a second, we’re not all beige! This new line does a much better job of matching a range of skin tones, which is awesome! Thank you, ThirdLove!
Okay, on to the next review, the 24/7 Lace Balconette Bra. Let’s talk about the obvious first, this bra is gorgeous. I absolutely adore this mint color, but all of the color choices are so pretty. We’re talking basic black (with nude), scarlet, orchid (lavender), midnight-teal, etc….go HERE to check out the other colors. Now, I don’t wear lace bras under tees and thin sweaters, but I’ll definitely be wearing this under button ups, popovers, and heavier sweaters. For large chested girls, this is an awesome option for a bra that is pretty AND DOES IT’S JOB. You can find the matching undies HERE. Personally, although I loved the bra, I didn’t love the underwear. If not wearing a thong, I like a little more coverage in my underwear. Also, I ordered a small, but I seemed to need a medium. They do have quite a large selection of undies to choose from HERE in different cuts and materials.
And finally, the Front Closure Lace Racerback. This is the bra that just didn’t work for me because of the plunge cups. Nope, plunge cups don’t get the job done for me. I’m thinking this bra will be fantastic for smaller cup sizes. The back is so pretty. They designed it with an adjustable back strap, so you can find your perfect band fit easily (most racer backs don’t let you adjust the band). The super-flattering plunge cups create natural lift and cleavage. According to their site, if you have any of the following problems, this bra should be good for you: if your cup is empty at the bottom, if your band is too low on your body, if the top of the cup is too low for you. Again, very pretty bra, just not for me.
A bra that I didn’t receive (because I pretty much knew it wouldn’t be a good fit for me) is the Contour Plunge Bra, which is new to their line. Still, even though I don’t own it, I think some of you might want to know about it! Click HERE to read an article on the ThirdLove site on why a plunge bra might be for you. It’s supposed to give you lift, without extra padding, which I know many of you might be looking for!
In addition to all of the bras highlighted above, they also have a lace t-shirt bra, a lace full coverage bra, push up and lace push up bras, a strapless bra, and they even have a classic wireless bra (that is supposed to be supportive enough for a D cup)! Here are some of the bras, just click on what you are interested in:
To review, these are the bras I personally own and love.
To close today, I wanted you to see a close up shot to show you that you can’t see where the cups end (I’m wearing the T-Shirt Bra here, but the same goes for the Classic Full Coverage Bra). They both give a nice rounded shape, and tees lays very smoothly over them. I love how both of these bras give coverage (if you know what I mean), but don’t add volume. If you want volume, you can try their push up bras that I’m sure will hoist your girl to attention. That’s not what I’m looking for, I just want a comfortable hug from my bra. ????
A HUGE thank you to ThirdLove for sponsoring this post! As I said before, I’m extremely picky about my undergarments, and I’m so excited (and maybe a little surprised) that 2 Third Love bras have made it in to my rotation. What can I say, I’m a total bra snob. 🙂 If you still have questions, they have a page dedicated to fit issues and solutions that you might find helpful! See y’all back here tomorrow for Friday Favorites.

Thanks for this review! I am tired of the issues I am having with my Victoria Secret bras – the cups gap at the top and you can always see lines at the top through my shirts. I ordered the classic T shirt bra and cant wait to try it! I have one question – on the photo of the four bras you own, there is a lace bra on the right. Which bra is this? If the t shirt bra works out, I would love to have a pretty lace one too! Thanks!
Sheaffer says
Hi, Susan! I can’t figure out which picture you are talking about. Is it from this post? All of my bras are either Third Love or Natori! I don’t own anything else! xoxo, Sheaffer 🙂
Carrie says
In that picture you are talking about it is in the lace bra section of the 3rd love website, lace balconette bra
Whitney says
I bought a Third Love bra when you first talked about them last year. The 1/2 cup option was definitely a game changer for me, just like you said. Now all my bras are Third Love bras, and I can’t see that that will ever change. Thanks for the introduction!
Sheaffer says
This is what I’ve heard from so many people, Whitney! I mean, why did it take the industry so long to think of 1/2 cup sizes?!? xoxo, Sheaffer 🙂
Narci says
Checking their site out right now! Can’t wait to try them out…that Mint bra is darling!
Paige Haring says
I have THE hardest time finding a bra that fits me and after months of frustration I tried Thirdlove and found 2 that are perfect!!! I was planning on blogging about them this week too!
Sheaffer says
This is awesome, Paige! I think it’s hard for people to try their first one since it’s a company they aren’t familiar with, but I’ve head of TONS of people that order again! xoxo, Sheaffer 🙂
Ashley says
I have worn the Wacoal t-shirt bra for years (and years) and thought that I would never love another but after seeing and hearing all of the hype about Third Love, I gave them a shot. I mainly wanted to try the fit finder. I bought the classic t-shirt style and I can’t believe how much I love it! It is considerably softer and more comfortable than my trusty Wacoal. I have been very pleased and would encourage everyone to give them a try!
Sheaffer says
I love hearing this, Ashley! They really are great bras. Thanks for taking the time to leave your thoughts! xoxo, Sheaffer 🙂
Stephanie says
This was a great review. I have a couple bras, that while they are comfy and supposed to be t-shirt bras, you can still see the lines under your shirt when you wear them. That’s not really what I’m going for. I think I might have to give these t-shirt ones a try.

I am so excited to try this brand! I recently went to Soma and while I like they way one of the bra looks with clothes it is not comfortable. I have been having major issues with the underwire of my bras cutting into me! Guess what this was one of the first questions Third LOVE asked on the survey!
Barbara Parnell says
I am trying to order one, but every time I get to the Try it First section, it gets stuck. Is it just my computer? I tried on my home computer and my tablet. Hopefully it will work soon, maybe a glitch? I am looking forward to trying these! Thanks for the review!

I’m curious what you thought about the 24/7 full coverage compared to the 24/7 t-shirt? I remember last fall you said you liked both but preferred the 24/7 t-shirt. Just curious because I can’t decide between the two!
Sheaffer says
Hey, Meg! Hmmmm..I don’t even think I have a favorite anymore. I wear both all the time! xoxo, Sheaffer 🙂

I’m not one to buy bras sight unseen, but what is there to lose? And thanks for the helpful info on the drawers. I was going order a matching pair, but if I’m not wearing my Hanky Panky’s, I prefer to keep my hiney under wraps. 🙂
Sheaffer says
Ha! Me too, Gail! I wear the Bliss undies now!!!! xoxo, Sheaffer 🙂
Denise Swain says
OMGOODNESS!!! Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU for talking about this bra! I ordered it last week after reading your blog and got it yesterday! I must say for me, it is life changing! It is the most comfortable bra I have ever put on. I don’t think I will ever own another brand of bras again! Xoxo

YAY, DENISE!!!!!!! I love hearing this, and I know Third Love will as well! xoxo, Sheaffer 🙂

I just ordered through the Try Before You Buy program. I am so excited.

Yay, Traci! Let me know how you like it!!! xoxo, Sheaffer 🙂

Welp, I would never have believed it. Skeptical, only because my own shape is so completely different. And buying online??? Insane. I did it, took the quiz fully expecting to send it back after it got here. I am not kidding. I forced my self to wash it this morning, because seven days is clearly too long without a washing, lololol. I’m blown away and will now be buying several more. LOVE!!! Seriously the best. I am ordering that beautiful purple one. :):):) Thank you Shaeffer! I also ordered the Natori panties but haven’t worn them yet. They look perfect though. Can’t wait to get my drawer looking like yours. 😉
Sheaffer says
Pam!!! I’m so glad you had such a positive experience! Tell all your friends!!!! 🙂 xoxo, Sheaffer 🙂

Hi! I know sometimes when you do a sponsored post you have a discount code. Not this time? I was going to order one until I noticed there was no discount 🙁
Sheaffer says
Hi, Madison! I’m so sorry, but I was not given a discount code for this post. xoxo, Sheaffer 🙂
Ellen says
How do you wash and dry your bras? I just ordered one and am planning on letting it air dry, but wondered what you do.
Thanks!
Sheaffer says
Hi, Ellen! I don’t give any special treatment to any of my bras or undies. They all go in the wash and dryer with everything else! xoxo, Sheaffer 🙂
Effie says
Thanks for the review, just order the t shirt bra to try. Hope I like it as much as you do.
J says
Can you not try the 1/2 sizes only full cup sizes on the try before you buy? I don’t see that option?
Sheaffer says
Hi, Jodi! That’s a good question. Can you please answer this, Kristina? xoxo, Sheaffer 🙂
ThirdLove says
Hi J! Kristina here – great question! We do indeed offer half sizes for our Try Before Buying program in our Classic T-Shirt bra. At this time, our half sizes are only available in particular size combinations. If you have further questions regarding this, please give us a call at 1 (866) 205-6833 – we’d be glad to help!

I know this is a promo for third love but I was wondering if someone has suggestions for bras for someone who is on a budget? The most basic bras do the job for me as I am the model of flat chested so when I saw the price of just one bra it shocked me. I completely understand that this is what a lot of women pay for bras but for a large amount of women this price is not in the budget. So are there any suggestions?
Whitney Craig says
I have been searching for the perfect bra for about 6 months now. I am going to give the recommended Classic T-shirt bra a try. I am so excited!!
Kristine says
Hi Shaffer!! Have you washed your eyelet top yet? I tried it on in the store. It is really cute. The smalll fits perfect and the medium was too long/to much fabric for my frame. I would wash in cold and drip dry but sometimes cotton stilll shrinks which I do not want it to do. Thought I would check with you. Thanks in advance.
Kristine
Sheaffer says
I haven’t washed mine yet, because I haven’t really worn it yet! So far I’ve only taken pics for the blog! Sorry I’m not more help! xoxo, Sheaffer 🙂
Kristen says
Okay, I am super picky about bras because I am extremely hard to fit. I did the fit finder and it came back with the same size as what I have currently in other brands. Knew I had nothing to loose so I ordered the t-shirt bra (as suggested by the fit finder). It arrived yesterday and I haven’t taken it off! Super comfortable, great coverage, holds me up and in – I am ready to order a few colors! Thanks!!!!!
Sheaffer says
This makes me so happy, Kristen! I love it when people love the things that I love!!!!!! xoxo, Sheaffer 🙂
Bev Miller says
I loved the 24/7 bra much better than the Wacoal I’ve been wearing for 10 years. I ordered my bra in July and this morning it ripped in the center. Not happy that a $68 dollar bra lasted 2 months. I sewed it up and hopefully it will hold. However the quality is not what it should be. I’ve never had a bra rip in me.
JT says
One problem I have though is the Fit Finder quiz only works off “what bra size are you wearing now?” and goes from there…
Well, thing is, I don’t know – I’m literally wearing one from a thrift store that the tag got taken off – and I’ve both gained and then lost some weight since I last had one that I knew the size of so I really have no idea what size I “should” be wearing…and then as some have pointed out, if you wear “bralettes” or sports bras, they usually come in “Small/Medium/Large” type sizes, not proper cup-and-band!
But there’s no way to pick “I don’t know” for cup or band size! You HAVE to give them one, they simply assume you’ll know (I guess people who charge $68 for a bra have no idea of how some people have to get our bras from literal secondhand sources, including thrift stores, or else have no concept of “sports bras from Target”? Figures)
And like, it’d be one thing if they showed you how to measure underbust (which I can at least already do), but I have no idea how to measure cup size or what it “should” be?? I know there is some weird formula for it, but I have no idea what it is so I can’t possibly guess.
So, thing is, they told me “congrats you’re actually wearing the right size!” and like…no. No, whatever size I’m wearing isn’t right in the cup, or possibly the band either, right now. The last time I had a bra I knew the size of, my issues, when I had them, were different from the issues I’m having NOW, with the bra I’m wearing NOW…
Basically the fit finder was useless for me, because there is no way to tell if it’s accurate to my current bra issues/size. :\ Which is a little frustrating, because I don’t think I’ve ever had a bra that even STARTED comfy, that stayed that way for more than a month or two (especially as I tend to go up about a whole cup size a few days before my period!), and lately it seems like I can’t find ANY bras that are comfy for more than a week or two, then suddenly, I’m having issues. :\
Which sucks because like…I don’t live in a culture that is all that cool with letting boobs go natural, especially with a larger bust like mine (ever since I finished hitting puberty I have yet to even SQUEEZE into anything less than a C cup, sometimes as high as G). Most of the clothing I wind up with NEEDS a bra under it to look remotely right for one reason or another, ranging from nipples showing, to being too sheer, to needing the “lift” that bras artificially give (otherwise it literally looks like my boobs are lower than they “should’ be – meaning, in the placement they naturally want to be. Gee thanks society). So, I need to wear bras but I can never get one that is or stays comfy for long. 🙁
Thing is, I don’t have the kind of money to just…shell out for a bra like that if I know it might not fit long-term. The shipping, as I understand it, you still need to pay, and if it’s not returned real quick (and in most cases, with tags still attached, basically ~unworn~) you get charged a pretty penny of nonrefundable, especially as most of the bras they carry aren’t part of the Try Before You Buy program. >_>
But if I’m going to have unreliabity in gauging the size, I’m afraid I’ll have to go with the $1 bin at the thrift store or the $10 rack at walmart/target
