Before we get to the Bachelor recap this week, I’ve partnered up with Nordstrom today to give y’all a quick look at my picks for the guys in our lives from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! You can click HERE to shop everything available for men, but I put a little collage together of some of my favorites. Pay special attention to the wrinkle free shirt, the chinos, and the awesome jeans in the collage below. I’ve read some great reviews about Mavi jeans, so please leave a comment if your guy owns a pair! Or, if you have other favorites for your guy that you purchase every year, please leave a comment. I’ve only purchased a couple of things for Chris so far this year (the boy doesn’t enjoy shopping for himself), and I’m interested in adding some other good staples to his closet!
If you are a visual person, you can click on a picture that you are interested in. Thanks to Nordstrom for sponsoring this portion of the post!
TIME FOR THE BACHELOR RECAP!
We ended last week with JoJo toiling over who she was going to send home. She initially thought it was going to be Luke, but after he pulled her aside at the rose ceremony and FINALLY said I Love You, she was confused. Personally, I started this week’s episode terrified she was going to be sending Chase home. I knew if she did I was going to be drinking extra wine and eating extra chocolate, because when he cries, I cry. Click HERE if you need to do some catching up before reading today’s recap.
This week we picked up in the airplane hanger right after Luke had taken JoJo aside to confess his love. She gathered herself together (after doing a lot of deep squats in her mermaid dress) and returned to the guys. Let’s have a quick review of my thoughts on the remaining suitors. I think Chase and Luke are genuine, sincere, and sweet. I think Jordan is just in it to win it and doesn’t like JoJo nearly as much as she likes him. And I’m not convinced that Robby wasn’t made by Mattel.
It was time to hand out the roses. She called Jordan’s name first. I mean, of course she did. If she wants to spend her life looking at that hair swoop, then that’s her business and not mine. The heart wants what it wants. But I can promise her that after several years of marriage, watching him try to attain that perfect swoop every morning will start to wear on her.
Next, she called Robby’s name.
And then I held my breath. WHO WAS SHE GOING TO CHOOSE? The ruggedly handsome cowboy or the sweet soul that loves and adores her. While on the edge of my seat, I did take a moment to notice that her boob game was strong. Those girls mean business. #theydontplay
It was time for the final rose, and she called Chase’s name. OH, THE HUMANITY!!!!!!!! I mean, don’t get me wrong, I fell in love with Chase last week and think he deserves to stay. BUT that meant Luke was going home. LUKE! Aw, shucks! I mean, sure I questioned him the week he wore camo skinnies, but overall he seemed like a great guy with a good head on his shoulders and I realllly liked him.
I was stunned. But do you know who was more stunned than I was? Luke. He was REELING. BEWILDERED. BUMFUZZLED. He said “You don’t want me anymore.”, and she replied with “No, it’s not that.” Wait, JoJo. Isn’t it EXACTLY that? While staring off into space, he said how he couldn’t process it. ME EITHER, LUKE. ME!!!!! EITHER!!!!!
JoJo dealt with her emotions by doing some more deep squats (#feeltheburn) and talking to herself. She wondered out loud “What if that was a mistake?” IT WAS JOJO!!!!!! IT WAS A MISTAKE!
But JoJo had to pull herself together quickly. I mean, there’s no time to cry over a lonesome cowboy when it’s time to get busy with 3 guys in fantasy suites. Next Stop: THAILAND. And I don’t know if y’all have heard this or not, but Thailand is the perfect place to fall in love. And get busy.
Robby pulled up on the streets of Thailand, and I’m not sure why, but his hair started to actually make me angry. That’s right. I was feeling angry. About his hair. I’m fully aware this is ridiculous. I don’t understand it, but it’s how I feel. FOR THE LOVE, SOMEBODY PLEASE GIVE HIM A NOOGIE! I’m hopeful one of the Fletcher brothers will step up and make this happen. Think about that for a minute. It would be EPIC.
They tasted some local fare, had some serious PDA, and when it started raining cats and dogs they ducked into a little place to get a pedicure. Something tells me this wasn’t Robby’s first
They headed to dinner, he looked all sorts of Miami Vice in his white jeans and a blue blazer, and I spent a good amount of time trying to imagine my hubby in white jeans. #itwouldneverhappen #andimokaywiththat
Robby talked about the confusion surrounding the ex-girlfriend, he read a letter that his dad had written him (where he called him “the man”) that apparently proved to us that he loves JoJo (and not the ex-girlfriend), and then she handed him an invitation to the fantasy suite. Robby was PUMPED about the fantasy suite. He said “Now I don’t have to dream about Jojo, I get to dream with JoJo.” He also said he wanted to “get to know the Joelle that I want to spend the rest of my life with.” And he then went on to say “I want to be late for work because I don’t want to get out of bed with her and I want to come home early to to see her.”
Several things here Robby: 1) I thought the fact that you suddenly started calling her Joelle was a teensy bit creepy. 2) Do you know that just because you’re in the fantasy suite doesn’t mean that you are going to dream in unison? #thatsnothowdreamswork 3) The people at the competitive swimming corporate offices are not gong to be pleased with your work ethic.
Joelle (see? it’s creepy) told the cameras “I know I love Robby, and I know I’m ready to take that next step.” However, this contestant has learned her lesson and isn’t going to actually tell him that she loves him. #imlookingatyouben
The next morning, they were hanging out in bed. For the record, I will never get more comfortable with this scenario. 14 years in, and the oogie factor is still incredibly high for me. And she again told the camera that she is in love with Robby. When telling her goodbye, Robby said he wanted to see her sooner rather than later “por favor”. Does he think they speak Spanish in Thailand?
They hiked together up some steep terrain (who else felt realllllly sorry for the camera crew?), and then headed to a temple. Apparently, there are strict rules they are supposed to abide by in the temple.
During dinner, they had a serious conversation. JoJo asked some very pointed questions, but Jordan wasn’t really able to answer any of them very well. He said, “I have a feeling when I’m with you. A feeling I’ve never had before.” But he told her this with ZERO emotion. He also said that he “doesn’t know what the next year is going to be like.” JoJo had a mild panic attack right here. I mean, she wanted him to say something along the lines of, “Well, after meeting Neil Lane in about a week or so, I hope to spend the rest of my life with you, have a big t.v. wedding, make little bachelor babies, and grow old together.” But he said nothing of the sort.
She offered him the fantasy suite, and he accepted it. #shocker After the crew was allowed into the room the next morning, Jordan basically said he had just had the best night of his life. #fistbumpjordan And it was here, when they started doing a little kissing, that I was reminded that I would like to respectfully ask the camera crew if they could TURN DOWN THE MIC SENSITIVITY when filming said kissing. My ears cannot un-hear the slurping. I was forever changed.
Chase pulled up on a moped and said he was ready to spend the day “in this magical place of Thailand and explore love”. They made out with a fish, took a boat ride, and it was obvious that Chase was falling more in love with every passing second. However, JoJo just looked like she was having a lot of fun with a bestie. I started getting worried for Chase.
Then they made out in the ocean. And I started to feel better that she wasn’t going to stomp on his heart. She started talking about how he brings her so much joy, and I was hopeful.
Now, between JoJo’s day date with Chase and their date that night, Robby showed up unexpectedly to again tell her how much he loved her. WE GET IT, Robby.
Little Miss JoJo has herself in quite a pickle.
At dinner that night, Chase accepted JoJo’s invite to the fantasy suite. He BARED HIS SOUL to her. He has NEVER told a girl that he loved her, but HE TOLD JOJO! Sadly, as soon as he got up the guts after 20 something years of NEVER saying it, he finally uttered the words…..and JoJo immediately excused herself. And a little piece of me died. She went right outside the room, sat on a bench, and I willed myself to not throw up while I grabbed the bag of TWIX out of the pantry. POOR CHASE! WHAHHHHH!!!!!
It seemed as if when Chase finally told her that he loved her, that was the exact moment when JoJo finally realized that she didn’t love him back. She said “I don’t know if spending this night together would change this feeling. And I almost feel like it would be unfair.” Y’all. It was sooooooooooooo awful. He used words like “skewered” and “shattered”. He was that 8 year old little boy that was confused by his parent’s divorce, and I felt like I should scoop him up, tell him everything was going to be okay, and rock him like a baby. He slammed his champagne, was TICKED as all get out, and JoJo seriously looked confused as to why he was upset. I do give her credit for not doing the big wiggle with him before sending him home, but her whimpering has GOT TO STOP.
On the way to the rejection van, a beer magically appeared in Chase’s hand, and I can only imagine that an intern saw the writing on the wall and had one waiting for him for his exit. #welldoneyoungintern While in the van, Chase ever so eloquently explained how he felt in that exact moment. It wasn’t flowerly, but it was descriptive. He waxed poetic that it was like she “pulled my pants down and kick me in the nuts.” #wellsaid
Jordan arrived, and then Robby arrived. And we all wondered if they had texted each other to coordinate their outfits.
JoJo came around the corner. The guys were confused. Where was Chase? JoJo started explaining to them how she had sent Chase home. As she was telling the guys, Chase casually waltzed down the stairs as if he had left his keys or something.
JoJo and Chase went to talk, and Chase apologized for his behavior when she let him go. He said he loved her, respected her, and was proud of her. WHATEVER. He was just wanting to get it out there that if it didn’t work out with the other two guys, that he was there and more than willing to pick up right where they let off. Not a bad idea Chase…because I’m betting that she picks Jordan and that it won’t work out. #igiveit6monthsmax
Back by the rose pedestal, the guys were wiping their brows, trying to figure out what the frack was going on with Chase, and doing their best to not have a heat stroke. JoJo went back, gave them roses, and that was that. All I could focus on was her necklace. I found this super similar one HERE.
I’m dying to know what everybody thinks! Does everybody think she’s picking Jordan…..or are some of you now convinced that Robby is her man? Leave your thoughts in the comments!
