Style It Again, Sheaffer

Notice in the above picture that I have loafers on one foot and Mary Jane’s on the other. Some of you totally dug the loafers when I first highlighted them last week, and some of you said you wanted a “more girly” option. So the leopard Mary Janes are entering the chat!

I absolutely love both choices, it just depends on what you are looking for. Both are very comfy (but the Rothy’s are extra comfy), and they both fit true to size.

This v-neck sweater has over 400 reviews, and almost all are 5 stars. People LOVE this sweater, and I totally see why. It’s lightweight, very soft, and not scratchy at all. I really prefer a v-neck to a crewneck, and this is the perfect v (deep, but not too deep at all). It has a ribbed waistband, but you can wear it tight like this over your hips and blouse up the top like you see below.

This is the “earth brown stripe” here, but you have your choice of 13 colors to choose from.  I’m wearing a small here, but I might size up to a medium in another colors to wear it super loose like some of the models are doing on the site. I also like the solid colors that are styled with a white crewneck tee layered underneath it for a super casual look.

Okay, y’all This button down cardigan is straight up fabulous. It comes in 5 colors, and I really love the olive green stripe too. It’s hard to see here because of my dark hair, but it does have a collar. The buttons are tortoise and are functional. This is definitely a sweater you can wear open like below, or you could button it up and wear it without a tee under it. It’s got a little bit of length on it and hits right at my hips. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.

COLORFUL COLORBLOCK SWEATER

I mean. How DARLING is this sweater. I love the quarter zip, and you know I love the color combo. It’s very soft and not itchy at all, even though it does have some wool in it. I thought styling it with black jeans and colorful sneakers was kind of an unexpected combo, but I really liked it! For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.

These sneakers are adorable, and they really pack a punch! I’m wearing the “Ice Lavender/ Orange/ Violet”, but they do come in several other color combinations. The vintage vibe is totally cool, and they are quite comfortable! The first time I put them on, I thought my foot looked kind of wide, but all I needed to do was tighten the laces, and then I thought they were very flattering! I would suggest sizing down a 1/2 for sure.

HALF ZIP HOODIE

This 1/2 zip hoodie is what cropped sweatshirts dreams are made of. It’s thick, it’s warm, and it’s super cute. In fact, it’s warm enough that I probably won’t pair it with shorts again, unless it’s a top layer that I can peel off when needed. And while I just said it’s “cropped”, it’s not too short at all. This one definitely covers my waistband and not a bit of tummy is showing. If I had tummy showing, it would be a no go for me. A medium fits me in this hoodie, but I’m actually wearing a large in the one below. I wanted it to be quite roomy, and to be honest, it was the only size they had in this color in store and I really wanted it.

Do you already have the Vuori performance joggers that I named a MUST HAVE a couple of years ago? Well, these are the shorts version! These performance shorts have a wider waistband than their jogger counterpart, but they still have the cute little signature drawstring. They’ve got pockets and tiny little slits on the sides. I wear a small in the joggers, but I grabbed these in a medium and am glad I did.

LIGHWEIGHT HOODIE

This lightweight hoodie is so good. In previous years, all of the lightweight stuff from Vuori has been shorter (almost cropped). I still have and love those pieces, but I was super excited to see this longer option from the beloved brand. (For those of you that prefer your bootie covered with leggings, this hoodie is for you!) It’s made of the DreamKnit fabric we’ve all fallen in love with, and if you’re not familiar, it’s incredibly soft and comfy. I’m wearing the “dark metal heather”, which I think totally reads as olive. It also comes in black, a pale grey, and cream. I would say this runs on the large side. I sized down to a small and it is still a little bit roomy and still long enough for me to pair with leggings and still have full backside coverage. Size down for sure.

Okay, ladies. THIS VEST! Off the top of my head, I can’t remember ever featuring a vest on the blog. Well, my review is in, AND I’M OBSESSED with this vest. It’s super lightweight, apparently super packable, and of course super cute. I’m wearing the “purple moon”, but it also comes in black and ivory.

I named these 7/8 leggings a MUST HAVE several years ago, and they remain a must have both in my closet and my heart. 😉 The 7/8 length is the perfect ankle length on me. I’m 5’4″ with long legs (and no torso) for my height, but I know the leggings stretch and they work lengthwise on taller people as well. For size reference, I wear a small in the leggings. They have a high waist with the perfect amount of compression. They suck you in, while still allowing you to breathe, and they don’t roll down on you! You definitely need the black, but after you fall in love with them, I feel certain you will grab one of the fun colors as well. I think “purple moon” is the next on my list so I can do a monochrome look with the vest from this outfit and the tee from outfit #4.

This denim jacket is a bit oversized, and I reach for it all the time. It’s got a bit of stretch in it, and it isn’t stiff at all. I would actually describe it as soft and comfortable! For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.

COLORFUL LEGGINGS

The leggings are super affordable at right under $13. They come in several colors and are great for lounging and running around town, but I don’t think they have the staying power they need to if you are actually working out in them. Also, they are full-length and I prefer a 7/8 length (but these only come in full). For size reference, I’m wearing a small.

Put this sweatshirt in your cart and go ahead and press purchase. YOU NEED TO GRAB IT NOW. LIKE RIGHT NOW. It totally gives Zella vibes, but it is much more affordable at just under $25.

This sweatshirt is one that I will absolutely live in once it’s cooler. I love it with leggings, but it will be cute with jeans and sneakers too. I wanted it oversized, so I sized up to the large so it would be legging friendly. I love the zippers, I love the exaggerated color, and I love the fit. Also notice the zippers on the hem that can be unzipped for more room and some extra style. Now, I do want to mention that this sweatshirt doesn’t have pockets. That’s often a deal breaker for me in a sweatshirt like this, but not with this sweatshirt. The fit and style are just too good.

This crewneck scuba top is another great find. It’s not nearly as warm as the above sweatshirt because it’s not fleecy on the inside, so it’s good for transitional weather. I sized up to a large in this one too to make sure it is legging friendly.

These sneakers have 179 reviews, and the great majority of them are 5 stars. I’m wearing the “multi” and love the colors, but they also come in black, a neutral, and a silver. They have a thick memory foam insole and chunky soles that will give you a bit of height. True to size, and I like the retro vibe.
