Happy Wednesday, y’all!
I’ve got a Shopping With Sheaffer post today, and I’m pumped! I haven’t done one of these in awhile, but working on it reminded me that I love doing these kinds of posts. My goal is always to be a great resource for all of you, and by sharing several retailers and lots of different pieces, I think these posts help make fashion accessible and shopping easy and fun.
Today I’m highlighting pieces from Social Threads, Walmart, Kohl’s, Old Navy, Amazon, and Nordstrom. I think most of you will be sure to find at least 1 item you would like to add to your closet in today’s post.

SOCIAL THREADS
Let’s kick things off with Social Threads!
But before we get to any of their awesome new pieces, remember you can always use the code STMT10 for 10% OFF of your entire purchase!
This blazer is FABULOUS! This is the famous Gibson blazer that I’ve shown before in both black and in red, but how amazing is the new navy with the wine colored-lining!
If you aren’t familiar with this blazer, it’s a soft knit and oh so stretchy. It’s the most comfortable and the most flattering blazer I’ve ever tried on. It’s an awesome piece, and I’m so happy to have it in my closet. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.
I love it styled here with a basic white tee, distressed jeans, and fashion sneakers.
Here’s the site info: Classic blazer in a soft knit fabrication. Features a notch collar, one-button closure, flap pockets and a tailored fitted silhouette. Pair with slacks, jeans or wear over a dress! Lined.
blazer / white tee / chunky hoop earrings / chunky link necklace / bracelets / jeans no longer available / sneakers
Do y’all remember this steal of a bag I first found last year at Nordstrom? Well, right now you can get the exact same bag on Amazon for $15 OFF! It looks like a designer bag, and I love how edgy it is. Now, it is a bit heavier than any of my other bags I own, but it’s worth it.
blazer / white tee / chunky hoop earrings / chunky link necklace / bracelets / jeans no longer available / sneakers
The sneakers are a really great dupe of the $500 (and up!) Golden Goose sneakers that everybody goes crazy over. They are a wonderful option for those of us that want the look, but don’t want to spend the $$.
I’m in my regular size here, but I’m confident that a 1/2 size down will be my best fit.
And I’m not sure, but I think these codes might still work on the shoes…
- Use the code HSN2022 if you’re a first time HSN shopper for $20 OFF you purchase of $40 or more!
- Use code HELLO10 for $10 off $20+!
jeans no longer available / sneakers
These bracelets come in this set, and they are from Amazon! The mix of metals is so fall and will go with just about any outfit you come up with.
blazer / bracelets / jeans no longer available / sneakers
I dressed the blazer up just a bit here with my kick hem flare jeans and booties. The booties are awesome, and they are on SUPER SALE. Make sure you size up a 1/2.
blazer / white tee / chunky hoop earrings / chunky link necklace / kick hem flare jeans / booties (size up a 1/2)
I absolutely love how the blazer is styled with a graphic tee on the Social Threads site. Isn’t it so cute and edgy? Click HERE for their graphic tee options.
This next Social Threads piece is a waffle textured cropped cardigan. I love the high neck collar and the toggle closure. It’s a subtle cropped fit, but I like the length on me. I’m thinking those of you with long torsos might find it to be too short. For size reference, I’m wearing a small.
I know a lot of people often size down in Wit and Wisdom jeans, but I wouldn’t size down in this particular pair. The hem on these is so fun.
Free People Micah Cardi / white tee / chunky link necklace / fray hem kick flare jeans / sneakers (white/black leather)
This Free People crochet cardigan is a huge splurge, but I know that some of you are going to think it’s totally worth it. It’s for sure one of those pieces that some of you will be obsessed with. It’s a perfectly relaxed fit, the crochet details are fantastic, and the smoky lavender color is gorgeous. For size reference, I’m wearing a small.
Here’s what the site has to say: Relaxed fit crochet cardigan. Features an exaggerated collar with drawstring, cozy terry cloth detailing, zip-front closure, side pockets and a slouchy relaxed silhouette.
Free People crochet cardigan / white tee / chunky link necklace / fray hem kick flare jeans / sneakers (white/black leather)
If you’ve been following along for a while, then you’ve seen this multicolor cuff bracelet multiple times over the years. It’s a statement bracelet for sure, and I love how it has just about every color you can think of.

Okay, this knit trench coat is another special piece. I’m sad because the sizes are already limited in both this khaki color and the black, but I’m keeping my fingers crossed for a restock. It’s so chic and so soft, and this khaki color is beautiful. If they happen to still have it in your size, grab it! For size reference, I’m wearing a small.
Here’s what the site has to say: Cozy and chic knit sweater coat. Features a collared open front style, pockets, banded cuffs, removable belt and a long slouchy silhouette.

These aren’t Social Threads sneakers, but this sneaker is a new verion of the ones I’m wearing above with all of my Social Threads pieces AND OHHEMMMMMGEEEEEE I’m in love. They are neutral with great texture and some serious sass.
I’m going to review some of the other Social Threads items I’ve highlighted recently…
I LOVE a cross body bag strap. I’ve been wearing them for years and years, and I think they are a great way to add style and personality to your look. I love grabbing new ones for each season because they are a super affordable way to change up a bag.
Well, Social Threads just launched 5 straps that are all totally made for fall! They are my favorite source for bag straps.
Remember: Use the code STMT10 for 10% OFF your Social Threads purchase. Use it on bag straps, bags, or whatever else you find on the site.
Don’t make me choose a favorite, because I can’t. I truly love them all and can’t wait to change them out all season long.
This is the gold/silver/cream medallion bag strap with my messenger bag.in camel. I love it. And the straps look great with my Louis Vuitton too.
Also, this cardigan is awesome. It’s no longer available in cream, but it’s still available in 8 other awesome colors including “mocha splash” which is a great camel colored neutral. It’s super soft and under $15. I also highly recommend the relaxed fit crewneck pocket tee I’m wearing. This is the dark rose, but it comes in a myriad of colors. I’m wearing a small in the cardi and a medium in the tee.

This is the multi-stripe bag strap.
Oh, and if you want to throw something else in your cart….get this hoodie if you haven’t yet!
Seriously, look how cute it is. AND IT JUST CAME BACK IN THIS AWESOME GREEN COLOR YESTERDAY!
Here’s a reminder what it looks like with leggings…
This hoodie is PERFECT for leggings. It’s a little bit longer in the back, it has a banded hem, and it has a cute and flattering fit. It also has a kangaroo pocket and ribbed cuffs on the sleeves. See how the arms are long? That’s because they have thumbholes. If I don’t have my thumbs in the thumbholes, I typically just turn them up 1 big cuff.
My favorite part of the sweatshirt is probably the snap neckline. It just makes it extra cute.

WALMART
So y’all have probably picked up on the fact that I think that Walmart is absolutely hitting it out of the park right now. The clothes are high quality and DARLING. If you haven’t seen my September Walmart post, click HERE to check the entire thing out and see 7 affordable fall outfits. It’s been the most popular post on the blog this month (by a landslide).
Today I have a handful of Walmart pieces that I haven’t shown y’all yet.
This rugby polo sweater is an awesome closet basic and a perfect transition piece. It’s stretchy, comfy, and has an interesting neckline and collar. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.
These straight leg jeans are so soooooooooooooooo good. And the fact that they are ONLY $16.87 is pretty unbelievable. I’m wearing the light wash here, but they also come in a dark and a medium wash. Heck, if you can’t decide what color you want, you could buy all 3 pairs for right at $50! #whoah
They are 70% Cotton/28% Polyester/2% Spandex, which means that they do have the bit of stretch that I now REQUIRE in a pair of jeans. Because as I’ve gotten older, I’ve determined that life is too short to wear jeans that don’t have some give. They are a great fit, and I love the on trend straight legged styling. I read several reviews, some saying they ran small and some saying they were too long. Because of this, I ordered 2 different sizes. I ordered a regular 6 and I ordered an 8 Petite. I would have ordered a 6 Petite, but for some reason the petite sizing doesn’t start until size 8.
I think I would like a 6 Petite the best if they had them available, but I went with the 8 Petite because I liked the length. (I got confused yesterday on facebook and said I was wearing a 6P, but these are definitely the 8P.)
rugby polo sweater / earrings / similar necklace / bag strap options / straight leg jeans / camo sneakers
Here’s the same sweater in a pink and camel combo, and you can see the sweater design much better in this one. See how cute the neckline and collar are?!? And this color combo is so much fun!
rugby polo sweater / earrings / similar necklace / straight leg jeans / camo sneakers
I typically gravitate to a more relaxed fit in a sweater, but I had to try this crewneck sweater because I loved the colors and the design. To me, it looks like a sweater you might find for $98 (or even $128) at Banana Republic or Anthro. But you can grab this for just $22. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.
crewneck sweater / earrings / similar necklace / bag strap options / straight leg jeans / camo sneakers
This boyfriend cardigan is absolutely adorable. AND IT’S $18.98. AND it has FANTASTIC reviews.
It also comes in a solid black, a solid cream, and a navy blue/light blue striped combo.
It’s very well made and looks like something you might find at Anthropologie. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.

KOHL’S
Y’all might be surprised to see that I’m talking about my new shrunken bomber jacket.
Yes.
AGAIN.
It is my favorite find in a good long while, and I feel the need to convince y’all to try it too!
The material is soft, comfy, and has just a bit of stretch in it. It’s not heavy, so it’s going to be perfect for early fall and spring as well. I have no doubt this jacket is going to be a staple piece for me. Y’all know I love the stand-up collar, and the bomber styling is super cute. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium. A small would fit too, but I was good with the fit of the medium.
This is the “dark gray” jacket, but until I saw the color name, I was really thinking it was a dark olive green. Whatever color it is, it functions as a neutral and can basically be worn with anything. (When reading other’s reviews, it seems others think it’s more of a dark olive green as well.) It also comes in a great light grey.
I’m going to style it 3 different ways for y’all today to prove how versatile it is.
I think it’s so cute styled below with ripped up jeans and sneakers.
shrunken bomber jacket / white tee / chunky hoop earrings / chunky link necklace / bracelets / jeans no longer available / sneakers
And how great does it look with black jeans?
Sidenote: If you are in need of a great pair of black jeans, LOOK NO FURTHER. These are the perfect black jeans. Soft, stretchy, and incredibly flattering. For size reference, I’m wearing a 6Petite, but I need a 4P.
shrunken bomber jacket / white tee / black jeans / cognac chunky heel booties (1-light brown)
And it of course looks great with a dark denim, a dark grey sweater, and booties.
I ran out of time, but I also wanted to show it with a white tee, white jeans, and sneakers for spring. Y’all are going to just need to imagine that for me.
shrunken bomber jacket / grey v neck short sleeved sweater / beaded earrings / dainty cross necklace / raw hem crop jeans / booties (size up a 1/2)
And while not available at Kohl’s, I wanted to give you a better look at the earrings I’m wearing above. These beaded earrings are a splurge, but they are gorgeous. Look at the colors! These are going to add a lot of pizazz to lots of my fall outfits.

OLD NAVY
I had 2 dresses that caught my eye from Old Navy, and I ordered both of them. I was very excited about this one, but I tried it on and it was see thru. 🙁
This flutter sleeve swing dress was the other one that I thought I might like, so I grabbed it in the only 2 colors they had at the time.
For size reference, I almost went with the petite, but I’m glad I didn’t. The regular medium is already pretty short on me. I would think you would need to be 5’2″ and under to need the petite.
flutter sleeve swing dress / circle cardigan / chunky hoop earrings / bag / cognac chunky heel booties (1-light brown)
Here’s the dress without a 2nd layer so you can see the fit. The seamed empire waist has tiny little pleats, it has a banded v neck, subtle flutter sleeves, and pockets! Again, I’m wearing a regular medium. I think this dress would be flattering on most body types.
flutter sleeve swing dress / chunky hoop earrings / bag / cognac chunky heel booties (1-light brown)
I love it with a denim jacket over it. This is a perfect fall outfit!
flutter sleeve swing dress / similar denim jacket (from same maker) / chunky hoop earrings / bag / cognac chunky heel booties (1-light brown)
And here’s the navy dress styled the same way.
flutter sleeve swing dress / similar denim jacket (from same maker) / chunky hoop earrings / bag / cognac chunky heel booties (1-light brown)
And with a this pretty rust cardigan. It’s so soft and the most beautiful rust color. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.
flutter sleeve swing dress / rust cardigan / chunky hoop earrings / cognac chunky heel booties (1-light brown)
flutter sleeve swing dress / circle cardigan / chunky hoop earrings / cognac chunky heel booties (1-light brown)
And with my new favorite jacket!

Here are 3 different looks with the green dress…
Here are 3 different looks with the navy floral dress…
And although I’m sad to report that sizes are already picked over for the green and navy, they recently added a red option.

AMAZON
When I saw this cable knit pullover, I immediately knew it would be a perfect top to help transition me to early fall. I showed it a couple of weeks ago with denim shorts, and today you’re seeing it with jeans! I think it would look great with my my favorite grey jeans too. And I will say this wide legged grey pair is new and looks so cute. I think I’m going to give them a try.
For size reference, I’m wearing a medium in the sweater and my regular size 4 in the jeans (although I think most size down in the jeans).
cable knit pullover / raw hem crop jeans / booties (size up a 1/2)
Okay, this is my idea of a perfect fall uniform. A pair of jeans I love, a super soft cardi in a great fall color, and some adorable fall floral mules. I’m wearing a medium in the tee, a medium in the cardigan, and my regular size 4 in the jeans (although most size down). And THEY ARE ON SALE!

NORDSTROM MUST HAVE LEGGINGS ON SALE
UPDATE: Okay, this little section was dedicated to lots of different looks with my MUST HAVE leggings that I’ve been talking about for years now because yesterday they were 60% OFF!!!!! I talked about them on facebook yesterday, but was so sad to see this morning that they are no longer on sale. 🙁 I’m going to hold on to this content until they are on sale again. You can check out a pretty good selection of Wit and Wisdom jeans on sale HERE. And there’s tons of Zella stuff on sale HERE!

LOFT SALE
Also, I had planned to feature LOFT today, but I ended up not liking the two things I ordered. Still, I wanted to mention LOFT because tops and sweaters are 40% OFF today! They’ve got some super cute cardis, some great poncho sweaters, and some really beautiful blouses as well.

That’s it for today, y’all!
I hope you liked seeing pieces from a myriad of different retailers, because I certainly had fun finding the items. I’m going to try to make Shopping with Sheaffer a monthly feature, so if you have a certain retailer you would like to see featured next month, sound off in the comments!

Sheila C says
Love this post and that blazer is gorgeous!
Sheaffer says
THANKS, Sheila! And you’re not wrong…it really is gorgeous. 🙂 xoxo
Shay Shull says
Social Threads has such great pieces! Everything is so adorable!!!
sandi says
I am 5’2″ and have tried a few of the Old Navy dresses in petite; they are a little short on me. Maybe it’s my age (54) but I felt if I was walking up the stairs at church I’d wonder what was viewable from below. That length looks great on my daughters but I personally felt they were a little too short. So if a reader is close to 5’2″ and desires a little more length go with the regular size.
That rust cardigan and floral mule combo is awesome!
Sheaffer says
Hi, Sandi! Thank you for the insight on the petite sizing. So helpful!!! And I’m with you, I absolutely loved the rust cardi with the floral mules!!!! Thank you for the encouraging words! xoxo
