SO I FINALLY DECIDED TO DO A POST!
And because I couldn’t throw a weekend post up here without any clothes,
I also have a NEW SHIRT I’m featuring that rocks.
You’re all going to love it.
Mark my words. YOU”RE GONNA LOVE IT.
(It’s at the bottom of today’s post, so make sure you don’t miss it!)
There’s also some teasers for next weeks posts.
NEXT WEEK IS HUGE. GET FIRED UP.
Let’s kick things off things today with my skin care products!
1)
Click HERE for the Arbonne facial cleanser and the day lotion (which includes SPF 20).
I’ve been using these products for a couple of years now. They clean my face, they keep it moisturized (without being greasy), and they don’t break me out. All good.
2)
*Click HERE for your choice of Clarisonic Mia systems.*
I know I’ve talked about this system countless times. But I’m talking about it again.
And rest assured, this isn’t the last time I’ll talk about it either.
I could never do a products post and not include it.
I promise you it changed the surface of my skin.
Yes, it’s expensive.
BUT IT’S YOUR SKIN.
It’s so SO worth it.
TREAT YOURSELF to better skin with this product.
I give this thing 5 stars.
The above link takes you to several different Clarisonic options. They are all good. Mine is plain white, but I totally wish I had a fun design/color. Some of them are special sets for a reduced price!
3)
Good ol’ fashioned Vaseline.
I put Vaseline on my lips every single night. If I get into bed without it on my lips, I will get out of bed to put it on. It’s the completely obsessive part of my night time routine that I never skip.
My lips have to be moisturized.
And here’s a tip that Shay and I talked about a couple of weeks ago when I was telling her about this post: you can use it to EASILY take off your eye make-up.
Oooooh…I also use THIS lip scrub. I bought it for myself back in November and then made it a Santa Alert before Christmas. It’s a fun little gift to give if you have a girlfriend, mom, or sister with a birthday coming up or something!
And I know this is horrible, but I don’t use eye cream…even though I of course know I should.
I have friends that swear by Lancome eye products (and after looking them up, the reviews really are amazing). I KNOW. I need to start using eye cream. I can almost see my mom shaking her finger at me right now for this. Shame on me.
Here’s what’s going to happen. I’m going to order some TODAY. It’s time.
THIS one really perked my interest. I like that it is a duo cream and concealer, and although there are mixed reviews about the packaging, everybody says the results are AMAZING.
One last eye product.
I asked lots of ladies at work yesterday if they had a product that they couldn’t live without.
My friend Brennan was the most passionate of anybody asked about THIS one.
She said it’s her “stranded on a deserted island product.”
She swears it reduces redness and puffiness instantly and she calls it a MUST HAVE.

Now that we’ve talked about skin care, let’s talk MAKE-UP!
Everything that is included in my daily make-up routine is in the picture below.
Most items can be found at Nordstrom except for the COVER GIRL blush (110 Classic Pink)
and the REVLON lipstick (Plum Paradise 425) ,which can obviously be found at any pharmacy or grocery store, and the Arbonne Mineral Powder Foundation.
I wear the powder most days without any liquid foundation.
However, if I want more coverage, I use THIS Bobbi Brown tinted moisturizer…I just couldn’t take a picture of it because I left it at the ranch last time we went. I LOVE the stuff. A lot.
(And purely fyi: If I ever do decide to upgrade blushes, I will get THIS one. People talk about it like they’re crazy. It’s hard to argue with 173 5 STAR REVIEWS.)
I know it looks like a lot, but my make-up routine is actually very simple. It takes me 5 minutes TOPS to do my make-up. (Now my hair? Well, that’s a different story.)
Here’s 1/2 of my make-up and tools.
1) Click HERE for my Bobbi Brown gel eyeliner.
176/223 of the reviews for the eyeliner are 5 STAR.
pioneered this product. I’ve tried imitations and none have the staying
power of this one. If I don’t take it off at night it’s still on in the
morning, I must admit. It doesn’t budge or smudge. I have several in
different colors but black is a must for everyday. It really makes your
eyes stand out.
I am in complete agreement with the gal above. I got it right around Christmas, and I know I will always use this stuff because I can’t imagine right now that something better will ever come along. The thing I love the most about it is that IT STAYS PUT. I’ve tried pencil eyeliner, liquid eyeliner, and the powder eyeliner that you apply with a damp brush….but THIS IS IT FOR ME (I have “black ink”). All of those other products would end up smudging during the day.
I know I’ve only had it for 3 months, but it looks like I’ve barely used it at all, so I know it will last for a good long while.
If you get the gel eyeliner, you need to get the brush too. It makes applying it SO easy.
2) Click HERE for my Bobbi Brown mascara.
I’m one of those girls that isn’t loyal to any mascara. Every time I have to buy new mascara I buy a different brand thinking that it might be the perfect mascara. I seriously don’t think I’ve ever bought the same brand two times in a row. But guess what? I got this for Christmas, and I can say that when I run out, I will get it again. That’s sayin’ somethin’.
3) Click HERE for my Smashbox make-up primer.
OKAY LADIES, PAY ATTENTION TO THIS.
This is a product that I started using last year after receiving a sample of it, and OH MY WORD. I love it so.
I can’t even really describe it.
When you put it on your face, it is LIKE NOTHING YOU HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED.
I know that sounds dramatic, but it’s true.
It just creates the perfect foundation for your make-up to be layered on.
And I know this sounds weird…but the two words that come to mind are “smooth” and “velvety”.
Here are a couple reviews by other ladies who love it:
is my favorite primer. I’ve tried other but always come back to photo
finish. Helps to keep my face matte all day, which I love, and
foundation stays on even through my after work workout.
difference in the finish of my foundation is noticeable from the first
use. My face looks more polished and smooth and I don’t need to reapply
foundation within hours like some.
p.s.
You are looking at the sample size of it in the picture below because I left my full size bottle at the ranch too. THANK HEAVENS I still had my sample size at the house.
p.p.s.
Check THIS out.
It’s a FANTASTIC way to try some of the most popular Smashbox products. I wish more brands would do this!
4) Click HERE for the MUCH LOVED Bobbi Brown
shimmer brick choices.
This morning on facebook, Elizabeth Anne commented that she heard that one Shimmer Brick is sold somewhere in the world every minute.. crazy stat!!!
BUT I BELIEVE IT.
I CANNOT SAY ENOUGH ABOUT MY SHIMMER BRICK.
It gives color without being sparkly. And it just makes me feel prettier.
SERIOUSLY. IT MAKES ME FEEL PRETTIER.
It gives the perfect finishing touch to my make-up and kind of makes me feel glowy!
The link takes you to lots of shimmer brick choices.
The exact one I have was a limited edition, but when I run out of it I will either get Beige Shimmer or Pink Quartz.
LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE my shimmer brick.
And just in case you missed that.
I love it.
5) Click HERE for my Bobbi Brown face blender brush.
This is the brush I use to apply the shimmer brick. It goes on perfectly when I use this brush.
6) Click HERE for my eyeshadow brush.
I know what you’re thinking.
Why does she have an eyeshadow brush and no eyeshadow?
Well, because right now I’m using my SHIMMER BRICK as my eyeshadow too!
YES MA’M I AM!
And just for fun, I found another set! Don’t you just love a good set? Click HERE for this one!
The shimmer brick and brush alone just about make it worth the price!
I want to take another sentence or two to talk about brushes.
BRUSHES ARE SO IMPORTANT.
It’s ZERO fun spending money on brushes, but they make such a difference with your make-up application.
Click HERE to sift through brush set choices..
I really like my lipstick, BUT IT’S MY GLOSSES I GO GA GA OVER.
2) Click HERE for my Nordstrom gloss.
I got my first Nordstrom gloss as a giveaway at a blogger event I attended (Thank You Chelsea for suggesting that I take 2!!!) :), and I JUST ABOUT DIED because I didn’t know Nordstrom had their own lipgloss. It’s SUPER INEXPENSIVE and I love it.
However, I”m super sad because it seems as if my favorite color (Dandy) has been discontinued.
Still, it’s a great gloss at a great price.
YOU CAN GET 2 FOR $15 FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!
3) Click HERE for my Mac tinted lip glass.
My favorite shade is Viva Glam. It is just SUCH A PRETTY COLOR and it’s so SOOOO shiny!
4) Click HERE for my Nars gloss.
Sweet Dreams is my favorite. It’s the softest shimmery pink that is just plain pretty.
So, I always wear the same lipstick, but I alternate between these 3 glosses depending on what look/color I want the final product to look like.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Now it’s time to talk TEETH and BODY.
1) Click HERE for my glo teeth whitening system (which includes lip balm and the gel packets).
This was recommended to me by Shay as a great way to maintain white teeth without having to get the more expensive treatments from the dentist that make your teeth super sensitive.
I’m not going to say your teeth will be 6 shades whiter, but I do notice a difference and I will definitely buy this product again. It’s easy to apply, and I enjoy not having to bother
with messy trays.
2) Click HERE for my glo toothpaste.
3) Click HERE for my new Xen-Tan sunless tanner.
Okay. Here’s the deal with this sunless tanner.
Last year I used 2 different products, and I liked them both fine.
Denise, one of my sweet readers and I were facebook messaging back and forth before she went on a trip a couple of months ago, and I recommended the tan towels to her that I used to use.
She went to Nordstrom to get the tan towels, and the girl working the counter talked her into THIS, saying that everybody that used it FELL IN LOVE with it.
So, Denise got it, she used it, and she was super impressed with the color after only 4 applications.
So, I got it too!
AND I LOVE IT!
Now, just as with every other sunless tanner out there, you have to FOCUS when applying it.
And Denise and I both like to apply lotion after we put this one
Here are the two main things I like about it:
1)
It smells pleasant, but it’s not overpowering.
Just a nice light scent.
2)
The product is dark in color, which I thinks make it easier to make sure you are applying it evenly. It of course absorbs into the skin, but the dark color does help during the application process,
I’ve used it 5 times now over a 2 1/2 week period, and I’m VERY pleased with the color it’s given me.
I plan on continuing to use it about every 3rd do or so.
It is expensive…but if you have an event coming up late this spring or early this summer….you might want to consider splurging on it.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
If you’ve been reading this blog since the beginning, you already know about the LOVE and DEVOTION I have for my shampoo and conditioner.
For years and years I just used Pantene, and that was fine. But then my hair changed.
It started feeling and looking dry, and it had lost it’s shine.
My hair dresser at the time recommended trying the Redken All Soft line and I will never ever ever use anything else.
IT CHANGED MY HAIR.
I’ve been using it for about 10 years now, and I will never change.
1) Click HERE for my Redken All Soft Shampoo.
2) Click HERE for my Redken All Soft Conditioner.
When I style my hair I use a hairdryer and big rollers.
1) Click HERE for my Conair big set rollers.
2) Click HERE for the Ultra Chi hairdryer.
Sooooo……that’s it for Pinterest Told Me To’s FAVORITE products!
AND NO PRESSURE HERE, but this post took me a sweet forever to complete, so I’ve got my fingers and toes crossed that you enjoyed it!
If you didn’t, that’s okay….but I beg of you, just pretend that you did.
Please and Thank You. 🙂
If you have additional questions, please leave them in the comments, and I might do a follow-up post!
But hold up….
I couldn’t put up a post for a weekend that was going to be up for 3 days without having some clothes in it!
AND I COULDN’T WAIT TO SHARE THIS SHIRT WITH YOU!
I tried it on last weekend, and came home to put it on facebook immediately, but I couldn’t find it online. BOOO!!!!!
But I checked again on Wednesday night, and there it was!
It’s from pleione, the maker of the MUST HAVE shirt, and it was new late mid-week.
I AM ALREADY OBSESSED WITH IT.
It looks great with jeans, but for you working mamas out there, it would also look AWESOME with dress pants!
I have a couple of close-up pictures because I adore the neckline of it. It’s a v-neck (obviously) but it also has the cute little notches and pleats that kick the cuteness factor up!
(For size reference, I’m wearing an x-small in the picture, but I ordered a small. I wear an x-small in the MUST HAVE Shirt, but I definitely needed a small in THIS one.)
The shirt is just so fresh and light and PERFECT.
And it looks AWESOME with my new necklace.
By the way, with the code NECKLACES you can get 25% off of all necklaces at Bauble Bar through tonight! 😉
And my jeans are the MUST HAVE Vigoss jeans that have been sold out forever.
Click HERE for your other Vigoss choices.
DO YOU AGREE THAT THE SHIRT IS PERFECTION?
Again, the details totally make this shirt for me. And I love that it’s sheer.
I’m telling you.
You need this shirt.
And let’s talk about THIS tank for a second. It’s the one I’m wearing with the shirt above, and
IT. IS. AWESOME.
Period.
It comes in an assortment of colors as well in some patterns.
In my opinion, a girl can never have too many camisole tanks.
And I posted this on facebook Thursday morning…but just in case you don’t use facebook,
Personally, I want THIS and THIS.
Now……before you go…I have to give a little preview of next week BECAUSE IT’S AWESOME.
(Please note that it’s on Wednesday, not Tuesday.)
And finally, on Friday…..
they are all going to be from Nordstrom.
Have a wonderful weekend friends!
xoxo,
Sheaffer 🙂
Mix and Match Mama says
This was like my favorite post ever! Seriously! First of all, you do have THE BEST hair. It's so shiny and soft…and that shampoo is so amazing! Second, I didn't know you were a hot roller kind of girl??? I love me some hot rollers on occasion too. I don't know why I didn't know this about you?! I just assumed you were a boring curling iron girl…I love that you use hot rollers. And finally…that new shirt. I need it in all four prints. That wasn't a joke. I want all four prints. Like today. Happy Friday friend!
Alaleh says
One of my favorite posts of yours!! It's always so fun seeing what products other people use…just encourages me to add to my millions of products on my dresser 😉 happy Friday!!
Melissa Kelly says
I love that shirt! I have been a big supporter of the portafino shirt at Express but the neck details on this just make it. I had to put your maxi dress post on my 5 on Friday this week. Thanks for all of your inspiration. http://jasonandmelissakelly.blogspot.com/
Jenn says

Tab & Erika says
I loved this post!!! How do you hot roll your hair with only 5 rollers?? This is a very serious question!!!
Jackie T. says
Oh I love this post Scheaffer! As a make-up and product junkie, I'm always interested in the things other people love. I also second the Redken All Soft…especially for curly haired girls too. I think your favorite plum lipstick looks like a Maybelline Color Sensational though…(I only know this because of my aforementioned addiction) Ha! Anyway…just in case someone wants to purchase it. 😛
Great post as always, thanks girl! I'm going to check out the Lancôme concealer now!
Amy Dalon says
I'm so excited to head to Nordstrom this weekend for new lip glosses! I lost my favorite Almay one this week, and I think it's time for a switch:). I'm going to try the MAC and a Nordstrom one. And, as a side note, my Kut from the Kloth denim jacket arrived Wednesday, and oh my word- I'm in love!
Meredith Hellman says
I love you even more after reading you use Bobbi brown! I have been wearing her make up since I was 15! I have it all–foundation, eye liner, concealer, blush, bronzer, eye shadows.. You get the picture. Her stuff is the best! I get so excited when I learn other people besides my mom and sister use her products 🙂
Kim Kauffman says
I love this post so much! I could spend hours and hours in the makeup department. I really want to try that gel eyeliner. I always end up with smudges so this looks awesome. I have the Bobbi Brown shimmer brick and it's so pretty! I also use Nars blush in Orgasm and I love it! I haven't used a primer in a few years but I really need to get back to using one. My face is not getting any younger ha! I fell in love with all those sequin bracelets when I was at Nordstrom last week. Seriously, so pretty and such fun colors!
April Parrish says
Loved reading today about your daily facial and hair products. I think I need 1 of everything! I do not own a clarasonic, but that will change today! I am also wondering how you hot roll your hair with only 5 rollers????
Great post! Have a great weekend! 🙂
Alison @ Get Your Pretty On says
You are the second woman this week that I've heard uses good old fashioned hot rollers. I'm starting to think I might need a set. There are so much less damaging than harsh curling irons. And your hair always looks gorgeous! Loved getting this glimpse into your daily routine.
Kellyann Rohr says
I admire the fact that you have just one lipstick at a time and change it up with gloss! I have way too much make up, time to purge! I love hot rollers – so much faster than a curling iron!
Anonymous says
Thanks for the post…Love seeing the beauty routine of others! And you are right, that shirt is adorable! II JUST started using the primer (thanks to Alison at Get Your Pretty On!) and I LOVE it….how have I not heard of this amazing product before???
Looking forward to next week! Have a great weekend!

Daisygirl714 says
Can you share a photo or video of how you place your hot rollers? I'm guessing with only 5 of them you strategical place them? Whatever you're doing, your hair looks great! We need a tutorial!
Sheaffer says
Hi there! I use one on each side (right above my ears) and 3 in the back (1 on the crown, and the other two in the base of my neck. Does that make sense?!?
xoxo,
Sheaffer 🙂
Shelly says
Not sure if you saw but this shirt that you previously mentioned and sold out quickly…I think the stripes are wider on this one but I seriously love my shirt like this! http://www.loft.com/two-in-one-softened-shirt/345565?colorExplode=false&skuId=16437043&catid=catl000011&productPageType=fullPriceProducts&defaultColor=6600
And loved the post! Makeup is always so hard for me….too many choices!

Love this post! Love seeing other people's favorite products. I think I might need to try a few of these! And the shout out to me and my sis! So exciting. Really, it was fun meeting you in person as well. Great post as always!!!
Darcy says
Great post! I usually wear Bare Minerals products (they never make my skin break out) – but it's always fun to read about other brands. And have you tried on the Pleione Split Neck Blouse (short sleeve)? I have 3 of the "Must Have" shirts – but I bought that one last fall and it is soooooo flattering. Happy Friday!
Sheaffer says
Hi Darcy! I haven't tried the short -sleeve version. I need to give it a try!
xoxo,
Sheafffer 🙂
Mary says
I love this post! I always like to see and hear what other make up and skin care products others use. Gives me some ideas to try something different! I have never heard of the Glo Whitening system. I'm going to have to try it out!
Thanks for a great post!
Em says
Hi 🙂 Quick question. I bought some of the Vigoss destroyed jeans at nordstrom yesterday and love them! I was just wondering if you have had any trouble with them ripping more as you wear them. Did you do anything to reinforce the rips when you got them?
Thanks!
Sheaffer says
Hi Em! I've washed the jeans countless times, and the extra distressing after washing has been very minimal. They are holding up very well!
xoxo,
Sheaffer 🙂
Tiffany {A Touch of Grace} says
I LOVED this post! I absolutely adore my Bobbi Brown tinted moisturizer. I never wear foundation anymore, unless it's a very special occasion. It provides great coverage without being heavy.
I love that you use hot rollers! I have some, but very rarely use them. I may need to bust them out again this year. 🙂
And that shirt is so cute. Perfect for spring.
Stephanie Jennings says
I loved this post! It's always fascinating to see what products work for certain people. You mentioned a few I need to check out. I'm curious to know how you use your rollers… Everyday, etc? I have a set I've been thinking I should get rid of, but now maybe not 🙂
Sheaffer says
Hi Stephanie! I use one on each side and 3 in the back (1 on the crown, and the other two in the base of my neck. Does that make sense?!?
xoxo,
Sheaffer 🙂

Love this post!! Always looking for beauty product ideas. I have a question about the clarisonic. Do you use the cleanser from clarisonic or do you use another brand?
Sheaffer says
Hi Shalee! I use my own cleanser with the brush! It works great! My sister does the same thing. Hope this helps!
xoxo,
Sheaffer 🙂

That's a lot of good stuff! If it makes you look as good as you do…then I'm game!! xo
Meredith says
If you like the smashbox primer you need to get the sample box and try the liner and mascara. I got it last fall and fell in love with all their products. I have been a clinique girl foras long as I can remember but I think I am make a full switch. I love the way their products stay on nd they wa they make my skin feel. I have the primer, powder, liner, and a new gloss (which is the only on I am not 100% sold on).
