Well, even though last Friday was Pinterest Told Me To’s actual birthday, we are celebrating today!

 I was out of town last week, so I wanted to wait until this weekend to “celebrate” with y’all.
And by “celebrate”, I mean give away an awesome prize!  🙂

This little blog that I started on a whim 3 years ago has turned into something that I never could have imagined.  The Pinterest Told Me To community blesses me in so many ways, but some of the biggest blessings come in e-mails that I receive from you ladies.
When I hear from somebody that the blog brings a smile to their day, gives them more confidence, and/or makes them more comfortable in their own skin, I just beam!  Many of you even say that your kids and hubbies notice a positive difference in how you carry yourself,
and that is wonderful!
I know I’m not saving the world with trips to the mall….
but I do love that this blog is about more than just clothes and shopping.

I’ve had a crazy amount of fun these last 3 years, and I have all of you to thank!!!
Thank you for reading, thank you for commenting, and thank you for sharing the blog with your friends and family.
I love that I feel like we are a bunch of girlfriends just doing our best to look cute when we walk out the door!  And since shopping with friends is soooo much more fun than shopping by yourself,

My first stop at Northpark was at Anthro.  Anthro makes me happy.  🙂
Are the clothes more expensive?  Yes, often times they are.
HOWEVER.
Like I’ve said before, the clothes are also special and unique, which is sometimes worth the extra money in my book!

PEASANT DRESS
I was immediately drawn to the light blush color of this dress (it’s even prettier in person), and I thought the swingy (act like it’s a word) shape would be appealing to many of you.
For size reference, I was wearing a small.
I loved it so much, that I think I’m going to order it for myself.  But I’m going to order a PETITE small because I’m only 5’4″ and I would like the hemline to be shorter.  I’m wearing it here with my jeans, simply because I was too lazy to take off my flats and jeans.  HOWEVER.  HOW CUTE IS THIS GOING TO BE WITH SOME TALL COGNAC BOOTS like THESE?!?

TUNIC TEE
This tee is long.  Really long.  But I liked it!
I especially loved this color, but it comes in 9 colors total.

I was unsure about this when I saw it on the rack, but the Anthro girl insisted I put it on because she said so many people were loving it!  I am a sucker for a “layered” top.  😉

long sleeve tee
For size reference, I’m wearing a small.
This tee hasn’t received great reviews, but it’s mainly because people are disappointed with how thin they are.  The only tee I thought that was a problem with was the light grey.  I actually liked the thin material on the other colors, because I think it makes them great transitional shirts!  Others were concerned that the front was short.  Yes, it’s not as long as many shirts out there right now, but it was by no means too short.

LOFT
Next up, LOFT!
Before I was introduced to Nordstrom (and it’s total awesomeness) about 4 years ago, LOFT was pretty much the only store I ever shopped.  I still adore it, but I’ve since broadened my
 horizons a bit.  🙂  But I of course continue to shop there because I know I can always walk in a store or hop online and find something (let’s be honest…things) that I love.
 And they are always having awesome sales!
If you don’t typically shop at LOFT, you really do need to give it a try!

The material is stretchy and very comfy!
For some reason I cannot find this online!  But I wanted to include because I think many of you will love it!  It’s thicker than a normal tee, but still short sleeves, making it perfect for fall!

 FLIGHT DRESS
For size reference, I was wearing a PETITE small. I almost always buy dresses in a petite.
What can I say, I’m short (5’4″), and I like my hemlines short.
I think this dress would look great with a long brass necklace (but my chevron one made it look too much like a uniform)!  I also think it would be great paired with some coral jewelry.  Again, I think this would be great with a pair of tall cognac boots.

And FINALLY, NORDSTROM!
My love for Nordstrom runs deep.  I can’t believe that I never really shopped there until a little over 4 years ago.  Like many of you, I always thought it was too fancy and out of my price range.  Well, I was wrong.  And when I realized that they had FREE shipping and FREE returns 100%  of the time and THE ABSOLUTE BEST customer service on the planet, I was hooked.

HENLEY BLOUSE

For size reference, I was wearing a small.
This blouse is expensive at $88, but it feels expensive if that makes any sense!  It fits great (I tried on a similar blouse from Halogen and it was tight across the back), and it comes in 19 pattern and solid options. I think it’s super cute with jeans, but pair it with a nice pair of slacks or a pencil skirt for the office!

It says they run true to size, but I would definitely suggest sizing down 1 size.  I’m wearing a 2.

COGNAC BAG  (Only $69.95!) 
I’m FLIPPING over this cognac bag.
You all know that I’m obsessed with my leather tote (still 10% OFF with the code PTMTSAVE10), and I still adore it…but I like having this cross body as an option as well!  In fact, I got it on Tuesday, and I’ve already worn it the grocery store and to Meet The Teacher night!  It’s a great bag!  (Click HERE and check out the cute lining!  I love a fun lining in a bag!)  I also love the fact that it can be worn as a cros sbody or you can shorten the strap and just wear it on one shoulder.  And it’s light!  (I have a Rebecca Minkoff cross body hat I love the look of, but it’s heavy before I even put anything in it.  This one is super light!)

COLD SHOULDER TEE
Okay, so this tee is sooooooo not me.
BUT.
I LOVED IT!
I walked away without it mainly because I thought “Where in the heck am I going to wear this?”…..but I absolutely love it!  Do y’all love it, or am I crazy?
It would be fun for date night in the fall with jeans and booties!

TANK

I love it on it’s own (I think the color of the tank and the contrasting army green is so cute), but it will be awesome layered under a military jacket in the fall.

BEADED TANK
For size reference, I’m wearing a small.
This tank isn’t a crop top, but it’s definitely shorter than most shirts available right now.  It’s beaded up top…and again…it looks awesome by itself…and will look great under a jacket.  So, another great transitional piece.

I also hit up the shoe department, and found some shoes I hadn’t seen before.
Like these SUEDE BOOTIES!
I really like the black (and for some reason I don’t typically like black shoes), but they also come in a wine color and a taupe color I love.

I wanted to try on the new metallic Vince Camuto for y’all, but they didn’t have them in store.
So, I tried on the silver Sam Edelman’s.  So fun and sassy, and very “fall”!

True to size.

 And I absolutely adored these cognac flats from BP.
The color is so pretty, and they are a PERFECT transition shoe for fall!
They come in leopard as well!
And they are only $49.95!
They are true to size and comfy.  Not as comfy as the Felicia flats (nothing else really compares. and there’s a cognac version of the Felicia as well!), but they are still comfy.
And I liked the pointy toe of these!

And I’m thinking THESE would be so cute for the fall as well!
These are more true to size than regular converse.
I wear a 6 in the shoreline, where I wear a 5 or 5 1/2 in the regular converse.

    Good Morning! I wanted to say HB to the blog. I have read for 2 years. Last year I have PTMT gifts and my friends love it. My husband heard all about you while watching the Men Tell All show. He is a faithful Bachelor watcher, so he was more excited about the gossip then me spotting 2 bloggers that I read daily. I never thought Nordstrom was within my budget until I found your blog and you showing me what to buy. I am a working mom of 5, and don't have time to walk around and try on clothes…usually your pictures sell me. I love the fact that we can have stuff sent to my office, with no shipping cost. So sometimes it's just shoes, or teacher gifts…etc. For that, I am thankful! Continue on showing me what to get. I have on several items today..and already have stuff in my "Cart" for the day!

It is so true that I feel more confident when I dress like you! I'm tellin' ya I constantly have people in stores like Old Navy or wherever asking ME for my opinion on clothes!     Hi! I was wondering if you thought that anthropologie peasant dress would work for maternity? I'm worried it might have one of those tight linings even though the dress itself looks loose and swingy. I just hate the maternity clothes look and think this might be a stylish option! Thanks!
