We all know by now that orange is this season’s IT color, and I love it paired with turquoise!
Add leopard to the mix, and I’m ALL IN.
A crisp white thrown in for good measure is also always a good idea.
So I threw together a little collage with orange, turquoise, leopard, and white…
in every combination you can imagine.
orange top, white blazer, leopard clutch, blue jeans – check
blue shirt, orange sweater, white jeans, leopard clutch and shoes – check
orange blouse, blue jeans (with white distressing), leopard shoes – check
blue dress, orange necklace, leopard clutch – check
orange top, turquoise necklace, blue jeans, and leopard shoes – check
IT’S ALL GOOD.
Wear it.
Now.
Pinterest is practically begging you to throw this combo together for crying out loud.

(You can also click HERE to see my orange, leopard, and white outfit from a couple of weeks ago.)
Anyhoo.
When Pinterest talks, I typically listen.
Unless it has anything to do with crafting something or throwing a really awesome kid’s birthday party with a developed theme.
I’m simply not equipped for those sort of things. Just ask my friends.
But.
When it comes to wearing something, I’ll generally listen to her.
Just combine them, and then sit back and admire how DARLING you are.

Okay, hold up.
Before we get to the outfit recreation, you should know that I cursed myself for not having a straw tote for this outfit. How in the world could I not own a straw tote?
Shame on me!
So, I got to looking, and I found 4 that I love!

tory burch straw buckle tote HERE / colorblock straw shoulder bag HERE
Okay, back to the outfit.
Like I said, switched it up a bit.
The natural color from the bag is in my shoes…..the leopard moved from the shoes to the belt…and the turquoise moved from the bracelet to the earrings.

You can’t get much more simple than a tee with jeans…but I think the color combo keeps the outfit fresh and fun! If the leopard wasn’t thrown in there, it might be boring.
#leopardforpresident
Now…about the tee.
I don’t know if you’ve heard, but Nordstrom is now carrying Madewell.
#cuetheapplause
So when they asked me if I was interested in talking about the launch, I immediately hopped online to see if there was anything that perked my interest. And there was. Of course there was.
I ordered 3 simple v-neck tees.
This orange, a black (that you’ll see in a second), and a white (that’s on backorder and hasn’t arrived yet). They were only $19.50 each, so I didn’t feel bad about ordering 3.
And now for the great news….I reallllllllllllllly love them.
For size reference, I’m wearing a small, and it’s the perfect fit for a tee.
I wasn’t wanting a fitted tee, and this one isn’t.
And it’s slouchy, but not sloppy.
And the v-neck isn’t too low.
It’s too bad the orange color isn’t currently available, but I’ll keep looking and let you know if it gets re-stocked.
Let’s all take a minute and talk about how much we love the black tee with the white jeans and the cognac belt. Right?
Yeah.
I’m doing that FO SHO.
Want to get the look for yourself?
Here’s how you can:
orange tee sold out, but different colors of same tee available HERE
same color tee also by Madwell, but different design available HERE
jeans HERE (slightly distressed version)/ similar leopard belt HERE /
wedges HERE/ earrings HERE / necklace c/o Gorjana found HERE (budget friendly necklace HERE) / leather wrap watch HERE
And now for a close-up of my beloved wedges.
I can’t say enough about these babies.
I know I’ve sung their praises several times over the last couple of weeks…but one thing I forgot to talk about is that I love the fact that I buckled them the first time I put them on, and that I haven’t had to re-buckle them since!
WHAT?
Yep!
There’s enough stretch in the strap that I can just slip them off and on
without having to mess with the buckle.
Wow.
I just read that last sentence and can’t even believe how lazy I sound.
Oh well.
I stand by the fact that I enjoy not messing with the buckle every time.
It’s the little things, you know?

(I have no idea what my polish color is. Sorry!)
So, as discussed at the top of this post, where the colors appear doesn’t matter…
the turquoise, orange, and leopard just look great together!
So, in case you want some options for ways to make this look work for yourself, see below and click on the pictures you are interested in!
Turquoise jewelry options here!
You know I have and love my Kendra Scott earrings (that I’m wearing above), but last week I also got the $12 earrings (second from the left), and they are awesome!
Or what about this? What about adding orange to your outfit in your shoes?
Check out THESE I saw last week! Super comfortable and great design!
Look at the other great choices from DV HERE (different designs in orange, blue, and natural colors!).
You can also check out THESE orange wedges from Steve Madden and THESE from Michael Kors.
Or if you prefer a flat sandal, check out the Sam Edelman thong that is so popular HERE.
Or maybe you want another choice for an orange top?
Remember this from last week?
Topshop scallop tee HERE.
For size reference, I was wearing a 4.
I LOVED THIS TOP. And it’s such a great value at $25.
Here are some different ways to incorporate leopard into your outfits!
Again, just click on what you are interested.
They are UGGs (so they are totally comfortable),
they have a good heel height (high, but not so high I that you might roll an ankle), and are true to size, kind of.
I’m normally a 6 or a 6 1/2, and the 6s were perfect in these.
Click HERE for the leopard wedges.

Before we go…
I’ve got some more Madewell items to highlight for you!
I adore this basic black tee (and can’t wait to wear it with white jeans and a cognac
belt like the model is).
the slim “boyjean” HERE (size down, I’m wearing a 26) / madewell tee HERE / scarf HERE / espadrille’s HERE (these run small, order up!)
Be advised, that the jeans are very worn looking.
They actually have what looks like white paint on them!
You can find the slim “boyjean” HERE (size down, I’m wearing a 26).
Also….purely fyi…I ordered a pair of the boyfriend shorts too, and I have two words.
NO. M’AM.
They did not work on me. I would have taken a picture to show you, but I have too much pride.
😉
Here’s a close up picture of the scarf and my $10 earrings!
scarf HERE / earrings HERE
And here’s a close up of the espadrilles.
Sooooooo comfy!
Remember, order a size up for sure or you won’t even be able to get them on your feet!
espadrille’s HERE
That’s it for today, I’ll leave you with some more Madewell items to check out!
And you know I can’t talk about Madewell at Nordstrom without mentioning their famous cognac tote that you can find HERE.
It’s lovely.
And I dare say….iconic.
Too much?
I don’t think so.
Let’s go with iconic.
See everybody back here on Wednesday!
And thank you Nordstrom for sponsoring the Madewell portion of this post!
xoxo,
Sheaffer 🙂

So in the Topshop scalloped tee, are you wearing the 4 that says its 0-2 US? Or a US 4? There are so many numbers that I keep getting confused!
Gail Wilson says
Madewell is a game changer. The v-neck tee's, skinny jeans and gorgeous handbags are above and beyond! Jury is still out on the orange and turquoise for me, although Miami Dolphins fans will love it, I'm sure! 🙂

Quick question! How does that Madewell tee compared to the Halogen Relaxed Slub tee you showed recently (and that Shay speaks so highly of)? Thanks!

I tried this on at NP today and almost pulled the trigger! Cute way to get a pop of orange in your outfit too (and they are not high at all)!http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/steve-madden-seaside-wedge-sandal-women/3911245?origin=category-personalizedsort&contextualcategoryid=0&fashionColor=CORAL&resultback=270
J Crew has their awesome chino shorts in orange this year! I bought the 4" today (my favorite shorts ever). They are 25% off right now! Time to stock up!
I bought this shirt today in the super bleach! So soft and cute. Very long too (which I loved). It reminds me of your J. Crew Factory shirt that you wear that you got a few years ago. http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/halogen-denim-chambray-tunic-shirt/3822261?origin=category-personalizedsort&contextualcategoryid=0&fashionColor=GREY+MICRO&resultback=2574
Thanks for all your awesome recs as always!!!
Kristen says
One other comment – pop the good ol military jacket on over orange shirt and jeans or orange shirt and white pants and there is another look!

Hi, #Leopardforpresident You are hysterical!!!! I really enjoy your posts (I have your blog saved in my favorites). I have bought several items you have suggested. Thanks for getting me out of my black yoga pants (well for the most part..lol) and into some really cute stuff. Maureen from N.Y.
Jessica Sweeney says
Love this color combination! I have to find something bright orange!
DeAnn says
Ok, those Madewell tees are probably the best t-shirts ever! And I have tried everything from James Perse to Target! I got a few last year and literally just ordered two more the other day. They really are just as you described–not too fitted, not too loose, not too low-cut. I always have a hard time with v-neck shirts because I just generally have a short torso so everything always comes down just a little too low for my liking. And, I am not one to wear a camisole under a t-shirt–too much fuss. I love my transport tote almost as much as one of my children…kidding of course. 🙂 I've taken to tying a colorful scarf to it to sass it up a little bit when needed. It never fails to bring a bunch of compliments when I carry it even though it looks so simple. Thanks for your blog! I love your inspirations!
Elizabeth says
Hi Sheaffer!
I'm such a fan of your blog and it has turned me into a huge Kendra Scott fan! I've been eyeing some Elle earrings for awhile, but wasn't sure if I was ready to spend the money. I was reading your post today, clicked on the link to the Elle earrings and did a double take because they are $39!!!!! So I ordered them right away!!! Almost all the KS jewelry is being price matched at Nordstrom! 🙂 Keep up the great work in helping us ladies stay stylin'! xo
Sheaffer says
Hi Elizabeth! I did a facebook post on this not 30 minutes ago! Thanks for making sure I knew about!!! I have the best readers!
