And if you’re a friend of mine, you know when I’m IN….I’m ALL. IN.
When I find something I like, I latch on to it.
This poor denim shirt is the 2013 equivalent of my 1987 obsession with my Coca-Cola shirt.
I mean, who wouldn’t be obsessed with a shirt as completely awesome as this?

Mom – I challenge you to find a picture of me in this shirt so I can post it. It shouldn’t be that hard to find since I wore it at least once a week.
You can only style a Coca-Cola shirt so many ways, but I sure do remember wearing it a lot.
Like A LOT.
I either wore it with my Guess acid washed jeans that I would tight roll (because, HELLO! Awesome!) or these really cool jeans I got at some little store in town that zipped up the back on each ankle and had bows placed at the top of the zippers.
Wait. Don’t be sad for me.
I felt like I OWNED 5th grade in my Coca-Cola shirt and my Guess jeans.
Okay, maybe you should be a little sad for me.
I would pull my hair back in those braided barrettes that we all had with the little plastic pieces dangling off the end, or I would sweep it into a high side pony with a nice scrunchy, or (if I got up early enough and my high school neighbor Katrina could come over to fix my hair) maybe even rock a french braid.
The possibilities were endless.
Now, back to my current obsession.
My perfect denim shirt.
I questioned if I should do another denim shirt post already. Was it too soon? Was I really wanting to show my obsessive personality so soon on the blog?
In the end I decided to go ahead and post it since I styled it with shorts, and I think this is going to be the last of my shorts posts.
So, here it is. Denim with khaki shorts.

I have no words. None. If I actually see you in a picture wearing the Coke shirt, I will probably have a few. For now, I'm going to pretend like that Coke shirt never happened and you're just lying. I would prefer to think of you as a liar then a Coke shirt wearer. 😉

You totally took me back with the tight roll jeans! I'm pretty sure I rocked 5th grade too with a similar style 🙂

I too owned a pair of ankle zip jeans with bow at the top of the zipper. I think maybe they had muted colors of pink in purple in the bow. It had a matching jean jacket with the bow in the back. Don't be jealous…

Oh my gosh! I had a jacket too! It actually had cut-outs in the back and two bows. YOU don't be jealous. 🙂

I had a Benetton rugby shirt in addition to my Coke apparel, saved my babysitting money for eons to buy Guess bibs (overalls), and all that to go with my Sally Brown bangs. Such a sad but true fashion history! 🙂

Guess overalls. SWEET! 🙂

Oh I had that exact shirt! Isn't it funny that it was as popular as it was? Love it.

To be totally honest, I had the Pepsi Cola shirt also (it was purple and turquoise) before I hit the big time with the Coca Cola shirt! Ha! 🙂
