Yep, that’s right….I’m going to be comfortable AND darling. 😉
I heard on Good Morning America last year that you should actually wear jeans that are a little snug to keep yourself from over-eating on Thanksgiving.

And if you’ve been on the fence because you weren’t sure if the leggings were really as great as I claimed, I need to give you my e-mail sign in and password so you can pour over all of the e-mails I’ve received.  99% of you agree that they are just as magical and lovely as I think they are!

It’s safe to say that all of you girls are just as obsessed with your new leggings as I am.
However, even though I received TONS of “I AM IN LOVE WITH MY LEGGINGS” e-mails, I also received plenty of “WHAT THE HECK DO I WEAR WITH MY LEGGINGS NOW THAT I HAVE THEM? e-mails.

Well, never fear…
I’ve got this ladies.

And guess what?!?  Mr. Gosling decided to drop by again today with a message:

At first my plan was to just hit up Anthropologie and Free People, because they are TOTALLY known for tunic type shirts.  (And they do have some REALLY GREAT ONES…so you should check them out for more tunic options after reading the post if you still need ideas.)

 However,
 I was determined to find some tunics at Nordstrom since I know you ladies are super comfortable ordering from them due to the free shipping and free returns.
 (OH, PLEASE KEEP IN MIND that even if you don’t have leggings, you still need to read this post!  All of the tunics I’m featuring today would also look totally fabulous with just
 regular old skinny jeans!)
Well, I scoured Nordstrom online for tunics before heading to the store, and there were none that I loved…but I headed there anyway, because Nordstrom always seems to pull through for me.
And THANK HEAVENS for that because I ABSOLUTELY LOVED them once I put them on.
And I really REALLY REALLY  REALLY loved this first one you’re about to see.

The first 3 pictures you are all of the same knit tunic, just in different colorways.
  And it’s my favorite.
And I think it’s going to be your favorite too!
It is SO flattering (and let’s just be honest here:  if something is flattering, I BUY IT)…
and it looks awesome with the leggings.


I feel like I need a drum roll or something.
Or some guy in his own pair of leggings with a trumpet drawing attention to the unveiling of this fabulous find.
But since I’ve got neither….here it is.
If you don’t mind, just imagine some trumpet fanfare.
I mean, DYING.
I LOVE IT.
I kind of want to buy it in all 11 color combinations and only wear this for the rest of my days.
And do you notice how effortless this one makes pulling off the black, brown, and grey combo?
(You have to wait for the link until later in the post…there is an “issue” that I will explain.)

I also adored it in the big bold stripe.

(This is a medium because they didn’t have the large stripes in a medium.  I prefer the small on me, but if you like a bit more room, order a size up!)
But I think the black and blue colorblock below might be my favorite.
Yes.  It’s my favorite (which totally surprises me).  I’m never really drawn to blue.

Okay, now if you like the black and grey one above (in the first picture), you are going to need to pay attention because it’s about to get kind of confusing.  You see how the blue and black below is called “colorblock”.  Well, now look back up at the first one that is black on top and grey on the bottom.  That is called “colorblock” too.  However, if you click the one that says “black/grey colorblock” on the Nordstrom site (3rd from the left on the top row) it is a picture of the black and grey wide stripe.
However, if you click on the 1st one on the left on the bottom row, you will see that is also the black and grey wide stripe.  I called Nordstrom, lots of calls were made within the company, and they did finally confirm that if you order the “black/grey colorblock”, even though the picture is of the wide stripe, you will receive the colorblock…which is the first picture.
They are currently working on correcting the mistake.

I know.  SO confusing, but I hope I explained it okay!
All you need to know is that I am IN LOVE with this tunic, and I really think you should be too.
I strongly encourage (listen to how polite I’m being) to give this a try for yourself.

It is PERFECTION with the leggings. 
It is very flattering on, and I could just go on and on about how I think if you have the leggings then you HAVE to get one of these also!
Seriously. 
GET.
THIS.
 TUNIC.
I think you could dress it up or down and that it would be such a nice addition to your closet! 
Plus, I promise you will feel GREAT in it!  And isn’t that what it’s all about? 
Oh.  One more thing.
 The only thing I’m ever going to wear ever again is this tunic and my leggings.
Come Monday the name of the blog is going to be “365 Days of My New Favorite Tunic and Leggings.”, so you might as well just jump on the bandwagon now.  🙂
And since I got the grey leggings after they went on sale, I think I’m going to have to get the solid black one HERE.  Yes. I do love AND NEED the solid black one.  It’s going to be so cute with my new grey leggings and my cognac boots!

Conceals flaws!

I want to be her friend.
And she’s right.  It “hangs nicely” and “conceals figure flaws”.
Some reviewers claim that it runs large, but I did not find that to be the case.
I agree with another reviewer who said:
It seems to run true to size, but it is a roomy style. 
Which is perfect, because you don’t want your tunic to be fitted!
For size reference, I am wearing a small in the grey and black colorblock and the blue and black colorblock, and I liked the small fit the best on me.
The red and black stripe is a medium (because that’s what they had left in the store), and it was a little too baggy for my liking.  However, if you want a bit roomier of a fit, then just size up!

Okay, so I think it’s now painfully obvious that I think the above tunic is complete and total awesomeness….
but I found several other items that I was also super excited about!

      Hi Erin! Your settings are set to "no reply", so I hope you check back here for your answer. The main stores I shop at are Nordstrom, Loft, and Gap. There are two choices from Anthropologie thrown in today (the last 2 tunics), and there are going to be several more Anthropologie choices on Monday. And my Santa Alert today is from LOFT. But yes, I but I do mostly shop at Nordstrom. I feel it has the most variety and when shopping for both myself and the blog, it's easier to focus on just a small number of stores. I will try to work on throwing in more variety in the future!

    Seriously you should model for Nordstrom or you should advise their website dept because I would never have looked twice at the color block tunic after seeing the pictures on their website – but when I see it on you in your pictures it looks great. I am sure others agree with me and you've even said it yourself. Their website pictures need HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also, I've said it before and I will say it again, when you live in the sticks Nordstrom is great for online shopping – unfortunately my budget doesn't allow too many purchases. (the blardigan is on my Christmas list)

      I don't suggest going a size down. I'm wearing a small (I am normally a small) in both the grey and black and the blue and black. I'm wearing a medium in the red and black stripe. I preferred the small, but if I would have gone down a size (an x-small) I think it would have been too fitted for my liking.

    I love it all Sheaffer!! I bought a denim tunic after your legging post not too long ago…I sized up to make it more roomy and longer…best decision ever! My size theory with leggings and tunics is that I just don't pay attention to the size…just the fit!! haha!!

I nearly went up to a lady at the grocery store yesterday and gave her shirt a little tug as to say, "nobody wants to see that lady – really."     The first tunic you linked to it in your original leggings post so I threw one in my cart when I ordered the HUE leggings and you're so right if you changed the name of your blog to 365 days of my favorite leggings and tunic I would still read because I feel the EXACT same way! It's so so perfect I want to order all of the colors! all of them. Even my boyfriend commented how cute I looked in that same outfit and he hardly ever comments on my clothes unless I ask him. It is a must must must buy! And I am ordering the blue and black right now!

    Sheaffer I bought that tunic from Anthro last week when they had free shipping. Mine doesn't gather the way yours does. I think something is not quite right with it but I love the print of the fabric. Might have to get it altered a little because it's a keeper.

    Well, Shaeffer, I've been in love with my Lysse leggings for quite a while now. I've got cropped and ankle length in every color, and I've been scooping up tunics and dresses and long tops to wear with them this fall/winter. Unfortunately, I live in Houston, and our two cold fall days just came and went, so I'll have to wait a while. In the meantime…

    I'm afraid I'm going to get a credit alert on my Nordstrom card for suspicious activity! I have purchased and am now awaiting the delivery of the Sam Edelman boots, the must-have Hue leggings, and several of the tunics you've recommended. And maybe a few others.     I love this post! I don't usually comment either, but this has got to be my favorite. I have been searching for decent leggings for a long while and the HUE ones (that you posted were on sale on FB last Saturday…woot woot!) totally fit the bill. LOVE THEM! I have been wanting to find cute tunics as well and I can't wait to try these out. I have the Penny Boots on order (can't wait) and just got the LOFT red coat (it's beautiful!). Love you and love that we are about the same size (5'5", size 4), which makes this BLOG so handy!! Thanks again for doing so much "research" for us all!!

    I am in the process of completely revamping my entire wardrobe, and came across your blog not long ago. So far, because you told me to, I have purchased the Penny boots, which are the new love of my life, the Vigoss jeans, and the must have scarf (unfortunately, the scarf wasn't me and it went back.) I bought the Penny boots last Sunday and found out yesterday, from your blog, that they had gone on sale. I went back to Nordies and they gave me an almost $40 price adjustment!!! Win!! Thank you Scheaffer. I am now constantly stalking your blog for more items. I need a lot of help. Oh and did I rave enough about the Penny boots. LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE them!

    Sheaffer, I absolutely LOVE your blog and was so excited to discover it this year! You have tremendously helped me with my wardrobe!! I have a special request. Every year at this time, we are invited to several Christmas parties and I always stress over what to wear. We have three to go to this year – all three with different people and so I would love to just have one special outfit and wear it to all three parties!! But I don't know what to wear! I would love for you to do a post on party outfits! I could wear leggings and boots if I had a special sparkly sweater that dressed it up. Or I could wear a dress if it wasn't too over the top. I would love to see what you come up with! At the parties we go to, some women are absolutely decked and some are just in jeans so I kind of like to find something in the middle but I stress over it every year! So I would love to see that post if you have time!!! Thanks!!!

    I now have my Thanksgiving outfit COMPLETE!!!! Boy do I just love your blog. Between your blog and Shay's blog you dress me and Shay provides recipes for me to cook for me and my family. I don't know about all of you other ladies, but I believe we HAVE IT MADE! You guys are the BEST!!!! I must ask, what color is your nail polish that you are wearing in the collage picture at the bottom of the post???

    What do you wear, on your feet, with your leggings when you're inside and not wearing shoes? Lets say for a get together or Thanksgiving? J live wearing leggings when I'm out and can wear cute boots, etc. but what about if you're at a friends house and have to take your shoes off?? I don't want to go barefoot in the winter, but also don't want to wear my white ankle socks 😉
