N Sale and Prime Day Picks | The Best of the Best from Both Sales

I shopped IN STORE yesterday, and I fell in love with some colorful athleisure, some really great tops, some awesome denim, and the shoes are fabulous.

Now I will say, the inventory in my store was limited. There are a lot of things I wanted to try that they didn’t have, so I placed an order last night for several items I hope to review for y’all by Monday. I’m quite sure I’ll end up placing another order today, but here are some of the things that are on their way to me right now…

LAST NIGHT I ORDERED: 

• This pink tweed coat, because OMG it’s DARLING.
• They didn’t have petites in these in my store, so I ordered these Wit and Wisdom faded black jeans in petite sizing. The regulars weren’t as cropped as they needed to be on me.
• The Mother jeans at my store were all reallllllllly long. I ordered these ankle jeans and am hoping to love them.
• They didn’t have the right size and color for me in store, so I ordered this LUXURIOUS Barefoot Dreams lounge set in Driftwood in a small.

WHAT I FOUND IN STORE…

Okay, so today I’m sharing my TIP TOP PICKS from my in store try on yesterday! I found lots of really great items, but today I’m just sharing my very favorites.

This v-neck sweater is the one that I had in all of my outfit inspo collages yesterday. It is an awesome closet basic that you will find yourself reaching for all fall long because you can style it so many ways, and at only $39.99 it’s a total steal. The deep v is very flattering, and the sweater is lightweight and soft. You’ll for sure want to grab it in 1 color, but there are 5 to choose from, so I bet lots of us grab 2. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium for a relaxed fit. The small definitely fit, but I preferred the slouchy look of the medium (my regular size). I would suggest sizing down if between sizes.

These Kut from the Kloth slim ankle jeans are stretchy and slim cut. I like to show a little ankle with most of my jeans, so at 5’4″ (with long legs and no torso) I needed petites in these. If taller than 5’4″, get the regular sizing for sure. These were borderline too short on me. They are soft, stretchy, and cute. I’m wearing the 4P.

Well. If you were shopping in store yesterday, you might have heard me squeal with delight when I first put on this Farm Rio blouse. It’s vibrant, adorable, and look at the detail on the sleeves! I love Farm Rio but don’t buy a lot of their pieces because they are pricey, so you better believe I scooped this up on sale. Now listen, it’s still expensive, but it’s worth it to me. It’s a special top, and I’m willing to pay extra for special (on occasion). I’m guessing this baby will go fast. I can wear it with denim shorts or white denim right now, and you can see how it transitions beautifully to early fall as well. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.

If you don’t yet have a pair of itty bitty boot cut jeans, you better fix that right now! Wit and Wisdom has done it again, y’all! These jeans will make you feel 5 pounds thinner and 2 inches taller than you actually are. They are so stretchy, so forgiving, and incredibly flattering. Pair them with a heel or chunky booty and you will have legs for days! I’m wearing my regular size 4 (NOT petite), but the majority of people size down in these because they are sooooo stretchy and forgiving. But don’t worry, if you get the right size, they absolutely hold their shape throughout the day.

What’s that? Cashmere for $80? SIGN ME UP! I love grabbing a new color of one of these sweaters every year in the sale. And although they have great basics like black, grey, and hummus…. this beautiful pink was a no brainer for me. I love it with jeans, but it also looks great with a dressy pant. It’s not fitted, but it’s not slouchy either, it’s just a great fit. It’s soooo soft and lightweight. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.

Okay, the jeans y’all! I’d heard of Pistola jeans, but I never tried them until yesterday. First thoughts: I FREAKING LOVE THEM. This particular pair of chew hem crop boot cut jeans reminds me very much of the much more expensive Mother denim that I love. This pair has some stretch, and I absolutely fell in love with the cropped and angled hem. It’s hard to see in my pics, so head to the site to really see what the hem looks like (it’s higher in the front than the back and it’s a little bit angled). I did size up in these to a 28.

Look closely and you’ll see that I’m wearing the denim loafer mules on the left and the Chestnut suede booties on the right. I’m in love with both pairs of shoes, and you’ll get a closer look at them in a minute.

Here’s the famous cashmere sweater again, but here I’m wearing it in the beautifully neutral “hummus”.

I styled it with the 2023 version of the MUST HAVE Wit and Wisdom black pants. I look forward to reviewing these every single year for y’all, and the feedback from those of you that try them is always GOLD! Y’all are always absolutely floored at how awesome they are. So these look like a typical work pant, BUT THEY’RE NOT. They’re soooooooooo much better.

They are stretchy enough that you just pull them on, which tickles me to no end. They don’t have a zipper, but they do have a button and some sturdy hook and eye closures (I think that’s what they’re called anyway). But even though you’re pulling them on like pajama pants and they are just about as comfy as pajama pants, you are ready for the office! I wear my regular size 4, but most definitely size down. (I own these in 2s as well, but I do prefer how the 4s fit me.) The styling of these pants has changed throughout the years, and I love everything about this year’s version. One year they had a stretchy built in belt, one year the front pockets were faux, but this year’s version has real pockets and belt loops (but no belt). EVERYBODY needs a pair of these black pants, but if you work in an office, these are going to be life changing for you. And I’m not even being dramatic.

Okay, so this long sleeve tee became a favorite last year. I already own several colors and wear them alllll the time, but I was super happy to pick up this fun “purple iris”. It’s lightweight, soft, and I find it to be the perfect top for leggings. It covers the bum, it’s obviously a super relaxed fit, and it has thumbholes. It’s a total steal during the N Sale at just under $30. Grab AT LEAST 1. For size reference, I’m wearing a small. I have some colors in small and some in x-small.

Y’all know the 7/8 Zella leggings are a favorite of mine, AND LOOK AT THIS COLOR!!!! I threw these babies in my cart so fast. The 7/8 length are my favorite length. I love how they hit me right at the ankle without any extra fabric. They are high waisted and boast supportive mesh that sucks you in, and they have a side pocket for your phone! I wear a small in Zella leggings.

I’m totally smitten with these sneakers, more on them in a minute.

I own countless pairs of these pajamas in both the short and long version. I didn’t need a new pair this year, but I couldn’t resist this retro blue and lilac floral. They came home with me, and I’m wearing them now as I write this review. They are hands down my favorite pajamas. Buttery soft and just wonderful to lounge around/sleep in. Plus, you’ll look so cute while lounging/sleeping. 😉 For size reference, I’m wearing a medium. The smalls fit, but I liked the little bit of extra length on the shorts, and I liked extra roominess in the medium top too.

Y’all. This year’s blardigan is lightweight, incredibly soft as always, and just as dreamy as ever. If you’re new around these parts, I call these Barefoot Dreams pieces “blardigans” because they are part blanket/part cardigan. I’m telling you, there’s nothing softer out there. If you don’t have one, you need one. Period. The end. I’m wearing the “driftwood” here, but it comes in 4 colors. For size reference, I’m wearing a small.

This year’s version doesn’t have a hood, and it’s longer than any of the others I own. I also think it’s lighter weight than most of them. If you don’t have a blardigan yet, I should tell you that you will wear it ALL YEAR LONG. Most people say they wear it just about every day after they get home. I like to say it’s like wearing a hug. Also, when you can grab them at the sale price, keep in mind that they make EXCELLENT GIFTS. Over the years I’ve given a blardigan to my mom, MIL, sister, SIL, Chris’s grandmother, an extra special one of Carter’s teachers, and a whole lot of friends and others. I’ve found that they are the perfect thing to give to somebody going through a tough time (like a cancer diagnosis). Remember, they are like giving a hug. The person you give one too will think loving thoughts about you each and every time they put it on. Haha! If I give it to somebody that’s going through a hard time, I like to tell them that when they put it on they need to think of it as a hug from me, and I want it to remind them that I’m praying for them.

The next 4 pictures show the 4 shoes that I purchased. They are all comfy and true to size (except I’d suggest sizing up in the On Cloud sneakers)! If a shoe isn’t comfy, rest assured that I don’t buy it.

These booties were the most comfortable and most flattering bootie option I tried on. These are the mushroom, but I ended up getting them in the Chestnut Suede. The cut-outs are so cute and really lengthen your leg. And yes, they are super comfy and you will be able to wear them for hours and hours without any complaints.

I was really tempted by the black pair, but I ended up buying the neutral pair. They will go with everything. They are cute with both skinny jeans and straight leg jeans. If you don’t have a pair of street sneakers you love, you really need to grab a pair. These DV sneakers are a much more affordable option than a Golden Goose.

I grabbed both the cognac and the denim. I’m obsessed. The slim toe, the chain, the fabrics…OBSESSED. The cognac suede is gorgeous and classic, and I love the edgy vibe of the denim pair!

There are lots of On Cloud sneakers in the sale and I really do love several of the options. I already have the pink and grey pair in the sale, and I have another brightly colored pair, so I liked the idea of adding these all white ones to my closet. They are the only sneakers I wear right now.

The salesman shared that most people size up a 1/2 in this style, so I did.

This lounge set is FABULOUS. Wayyyyyyy more fabulous that I thought it was going to be. And it’s not just for lounging!

I saw it on another influencer and thought it was adorable, but I wasn’t sure how it was going to look on me (because the other influencer is teeny tiny). WELL. I absolutely love it. I ordered a medium because that influencer was in a small (so I thought I would require a medium), but I’ve now ordered it in a small to compare the sizing. I actually like how this set is a super relaxed fit, I just want to see the difference.

It’s gauzy and soft and a perfect outfit to lounge in or even run around town in. I love it so so much.

A loose and relaxed fit with a leopard print and florals? I dig it! 😉 This dress is unique with the pattern combos, and I like that there are many colors to choose from. I’m wearing a medium because I needed room in the chest, otherwise a small would have been just fine. Most colors are OVER 50% OFF!

Check out how adorable this tie shoulder maxi dress is. Not all patterns are on sale, but click around to see which ones are! The top is smocked and super comfy, the tie straps are adjustable, and the skirt is long and flowy. To sum it up, the dress is DARLING. I’m wearing the “blue” which is 5th from the left on the top row, but it’s obviously so much more than just blue. And it actually comes in 28 color options. I also love the classic black, the “dark blue”, the “orange” with a tiny floral, and the “pink” with a geometric pattern. This is a really great dress. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.

I shared this ruffled shoulder smocked dress in the “fire orange floral” last month and it was a top seller, so I had to try another color. I went with a solid this time in this gorgeous emerald green. The color is STUNNING.  Not only is the top smocked, but the sleeves have smocking as well, which makes them incredibly comfortable. And check out the little ruffles on the sleeves. SO CUTE. The pockets and the little ruffle on the hem complete the dress. If you don’t like the green, there are several florals and several solids to choose from. For size reference, I’m wearing a small.

I feel like this dress could be at least twice the price at Anthro. It’s also giving me a bit of Farm Rio vibes! It’s beautifully made and totally special.

You know something is great when you buy it in several colors.

I first purchased this puff sleeve dress in a dalmation print, then I got it in basic black last year, and this year I decided to show the stripe.

It’s soooooooooooo incredibly soft. The material isn’t heavy, but it’s thicker than a regular tee, so it feels very well made. I love the fit (it’s very forgiving) and the puff sleeves are such a nice design element, without being too dramatic. It is such a great dress.

For size reference, I’m wearing a small. For a more relaxed fit, size up.

I love a great shirt dress. Always have, always will.

This particular dress has excellent ratings, so it’s clear that lots of ladies love a good shirt dress. This one is lightweight, comfy, breathable, and so easy to thrown on and go. It’s also super flattering and would look great on a variety of different body types. I also love the black, white, hot pink, and light pink. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.

If you’re looking for something special that’s beautifully made and makes you feel like a million bucks, then have I got a dress for you! It’s got a hefty price tag, but I love it oh so much.

It’s a 100% cotton poplin with a floral print, ruffle skirt, split v neck, and long sleeves with elastic cuffs. It also has a wonderful fabric belt that you can either knot or tie in a bow. There’s a button keyhole in the back, and it has a full cotton slip that comes with it. The color combo is like a deep cranberry red with a soft lilac. It’s an absolutely gorgeous and totally striking color combo. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium, but I think I would be fine in a small.

This dress is strapless and fabulous, but I’m telling you, nobody has to know it’s strapless if you don’t want them to. Just pull it on and look amazing.  For size reference, I’m wearing a small.

Does this dress look familiar? I highlighted it years ago in a chic black, and I highlighted it earlier this year in “pure pink” which is a soft pink. This is the “B Flower 7”, and I think the print is fabulous. I know tons of you bought it in the black and have worn it to lots of formal events and loved it. Here it is in the “pure pink”, and it’s absolutely GORGEOUS. I love that it’s off the shoulder, and that’s new for me, because I don’t typically like off the shoulder tops. It’s a little bit sexy by showing off the shoulders and the collarbone, but it covers up my upper arms. TOTAL SCORE! Throw it on with a pair of heels, and you are going to look taller and skinnier (than you already are). 😉 For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.

I’m totally smitten with the red/orange/purple/white color combo in this maxi sweater dress. It’s from one of Amazon’s “The Drop” collections, so you now it’s gonna be good. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium. It’s really cut in on the shoulders, so I will never wear it on it’s own, but I know some of you will be able to rock it! This tiered dress screams summer! And this orange is so fun and will be totally gorgeous with a tan. It comes in 17 colors including classic black, crisp white, a vibrant turquoise, a soft blush, a chambray, and so much more! It’s one of those dresses that I bet many of you will buy in a couple of colors.

There’s elastic across the back band at the top, which makes it both forgiving and comfortable. I’m wearing a small here, but it is a bit tight across my chest. It’s a reallllllllllly great dress!

This boho tunic dress comes in several color options, and I’m wearing the “multicolor” here. It’s a combination of cream, blue, and orange all brought together in a floral pattern. You can see the long tassels on it here, but you’ll notice in the next picture that I have them tucked inside the dress, which I prefer. The sleeves are 3/4 length and have a cute little split. This ruffle hem dress is a bit different with the wide ruffle hem and it’s longer than most of the other ones. And as you can see, it has pockets. It’s actually longer than I would like on my 5’4″ frame, but I think it will be especially great for you taller ladies! I’m wearing the small here, but I would prefer a more relaxed fit like on the model. However, I know the medium would be way too long on me.

The pillow covers are 20×20 and I used my old pillow inserts from HomeGoods. I highly recommend purchasing pillow inserts one size larger than the covers to achieve a fuller look (my inserts are 22×22). You can find some highly rated 22×22 inserts HERE (all sizes available).
