Okay, I had a post scheduled for today that ended up falling through.
SO…..today you’re going to get to see what my Friday looked like.
Although NOT REALLY, because I didn’t take that many pictures because I didn’t know this was going to be a post.

I started out my Friday morning on the exercise bike.
I put the pic on instagram and talked about how I HATE working out.

I dread it before, I hate my life when I’m working out, and afterwards I’m tired and sweaty.
None of that is good.

Sure, I like the results, but I don’t get those endorphins I’m always hearing about.

I realize it looks this way, but fear not, I’m perfectly stationary and safe.
The bike is on the top of the little landing that overlooks the first floor so I can watch DVRd shows while on the bike.
If I’m not going to get endorphins, at least I can watch some Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. 😉

a couple of people wrote on instagram that they would like me to post my workout routine.
It’s a simple process that I follow:
1) Get to the point that all off your clothes are seriously tight, but refuse to buy the next size up.
2) Start working out REALLY hard and start eating REALLY healthy.
3) Lose weight.
Yep. That’s it.
I do it every year February-ish to April-ish.
I know it’s not ideal, but it’s how I roll.
Please, no e-mails or blog comments about how I can better maintain a healthy weight.
I know HOW to, I just don’t.

After the work-out (gag), the little guy and I got dressed and headed out the door.
I know, too bad there’s not a picture.
We hopped in the car and met friends at the mall like we often do.
I just love my girlfriends and their kids so much!
First we met Shay and Erika at Nordstrom, I was trying on gold MK watches (I’m thinking THIS one is my favorite, but they didn’t have it in store) and Erika was buying THESE white converse.
We headed to GAP quickly, and I got Carter THESE shoes. He now has orange, navy, light green, dark green, and now grey. BEST SHOES EVER.
We ate lunch at the food court (the Market Fresh Salad at Chick-Fil-A is DELICIOUS, although I would have much rather been eating Tin Star tacos), the kids played on the playground, and then Carter and I headed to the Lego store.

BUT YOU’RE GOING TO BE GLAD I DID the ol’ stroll through, BECAUSE CHECK OUT THIS JACKET!!!!!!
Yes, I know already have 3 military jackets.
And yes, I know that 4 seems excessive.
HOWEVER, I am really REALLY considering adding a 4th.
I wear the other 3 ALL THE TIME.
And this one’s different! It’s longer! And it has a REALLY COOL collar!!!!!
If I ask for it for my birthday, I don’t think it should even count.

But in true ME form, I still liked the military green the best. I think it’s just more interesting.

It can be open like in the pictures in the khaki jacket above, but it can also be cinched up (there’s a draw string inside the collar) and it’s DARLING all cinched up.

If you already have a green military jacket and don’t think it’s practical to add another one to your closet (for the record, you’re wrong)…but if you like the jacket and just don’t want it to be green, YOU’RE IN LUCK!

I also got super excited about THESE new leopard slip-ons from Sperry.
They are quite different than their standard boat shoe (found HERE and still 50% off!), and they remind me a bit of TOMS. However, the shape is a bit different, so if you’re not a TOMS person, maybe you’re a Sperry person. The leopard pattern is so fun, and I loved the stitching detail.
They were VERY comfy just like TOMS, but they seemed a bit sturdier than TOMS (if that makes any sense).

It’s the perfect little cracker, and they are wheat and gluten free if you are into that.

It could be DARLING, or it could be fugly.
Actually, as I’m looking at it right now, I’m kind of hating the print. But I love the shape.

One more thing to share, our dinner on Friday night….
We have a new recipe (if you can even call it that) we’re making that couldn’t be any easier or faster.
It also couldn’t be more delicious. You take raw shrimp, you marinate it in Italian dressing for at least 8 hours, and then you throw it in a foil packet and onto the grill.
YUM – O.

I bought that military jacket two weeks ago and love it! I tried on 4 and that was the winner. So light weight and comfortable, and the neck is awesome. It looks great with everything. Strongly considering a Mk gold watch….. Hope it's worth the money. I have been thinking about it for years and never done it.

Girl – I don't get endorphins either… I think I get anti-endorphins… they're like the evil twin version of endorphins except instead of making me all happy about working out they make me hate the world. I have never gotten the endorphin thing either. Running, Zumba, etc..nada…But I do get buzz when shopping…especially at Nordstrom…it's quiet, the piano music, the sales associates are there to help you if needed but don't bug, all the pretty things sparkling under the lights, iced tea in the café….it all puts me in the best mood and gives me a spring in my step…is that endorphins??

THANK YOU!~! amen, and GOD BLESS YOU! You see I am totally understanding of HATING a workout or exercise. I don't get it!! I don't like it and I don't do it often enough! I have four children, and am a full time teacher, when I get home I don't want to go to anything because I have already done everything, and in the morning I am NOT getting up early to …..spin, bike or run. So, like you I crash diet for the month of March and hope yearly that I can fit into my spring clothes!!:) Also, loving the skinny cow snickerdoodle!
