Merry Christmas, everybody! From our home to yours!
I hope you are snuggled up at home with family and friends and soaking up as much Christmas spirit and magic as you can. (But in reality, you might be running around town like me this morning… grabbing a couple of gift cards and a handful of last-minute things from the grocery store). #tistheseason 😉
But no matter if you’re snuggled up or running around, I would like to take a moment to say a genuine and heartfelt THANK YOU to all of you. This little community we’ve created together brings me so much joy, and I am so grateful to all of you for your loyalty and your kindness.
Our family had a bit of a difficult year this year with some unexpected health issues and some big losses, but we still find ourselves so grateful for all of our blessings.
One of our biggest losses this year was our precious Buddy. We still feel his absence so deeply. Grief is tricky, even with our fur babies. A part of our family will always be missing, but goodness we are so thankful that Charlie made it through his health scare and is still with us.
Two of my sweet boys at our favorite place was the only option for this year’s card…

If you’re a real-life friend or family member and wondering why you didn’t receive the above card, it’s because I didn’t actually send any out. I created a digital card for the memories (and the grandparents)… maybe next year I’ll finally get them out to everybody! #butprobablynot

Shame on me. This picture deserves to be on a card.

This one will forever be my favorite.

Also 2011…

We went with a western theme for 2010. Gosh I loved this picture of the little man. Look how blonde he was!

And 2008.
OH MY WORD.

I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
It is my hope this Christmas that we all take time to really soak up some wonderful moments with the ones we love the most. I do know that there are some of you that are going through really hard seasons right now, and sometimes the holidays make hard times even harder. I will lift up prayers for you.
And as always at Christmas, I find myself the most thankful for the baby that was born in a manger, that lived His life among men and then gave that life so that we may spend eternity with Him.
What an incredible gift!
Merry Christmas and lots of love from my family to yours!

Absolutely love following you! Your fashion choices match my taste, and are reasonably priced. This post was the best. Sorry for your loss of Buddy. I know how that hurts.nothing like a golden. Had family in Groesbeck so very familiar with that area as well as Mexia. Have a wonderful Christmas with the ones you love.
