Merry Christmas, everybody! From our home to yours!
Now listen, if you’re my real-life friend and wondering why you didn’t receive the above Christmas card, it’s because I didn’t actually order them to send out. #oops
I mean, I ordered a whopping 5 cards that will arrive sometime next week, but that’s just so we can put one on our tree and I can give them to grandparents. This is the 2nd year in a row that we didn’t send a card out, and I’m just posting the digital file on the blog and social media.
I’m living the last-minute life over here, y’all. We actually took the above picture just two days ago, and then yesterday I hopped on Shutterfly and created the card. I love the card, and I really wish I would have had my stuff together enough to actually send them out. Oh well, maybe next year! Haha!
Today, on Christmas Eve, I would like to take a moment to say a genuine and heartfelt THANK YOU to all of you. This little community we’ve created together brings me so much happiness, and I hope it brings you some happiness as well. I am so grateful to all of you for your loyalty and your kindness. Y’all are the best, and I’m just so tickled that there are people out there who spent part of their day on this blog.
CHRISTMAS CARD MEMORIES
Just for fun, let’s take a short walk down memory lane of some of our cards from previous years.
2020…
Soooooooooooooooooooo……..
I didn’t realize until I was doing this post today that our picture last year was a black and white pic of Carter with the dogs at the ranch. I MEAN. #oopsagain Haha!
In 2019 the card never happened.
I mean. Shame on me. This picture deserves to be on a card.
2018
This was 2017….
This one will forever be my favorite.
2016…
2015…
2013…
2011…
Also 2011…
And 2008.
OH MY WORD.
I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with loved ones.
Both mine and Chris’s sisters are out of town with their families this year, so we are spending a quiet Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with both sets of grandparents. Christmas Eve we are all doing Christmas Eve service together at our church, and then Carter is cooking everybody steak! The grandparents are both coming over again on Christmas Day, and we are keeping it super easy with tamales and homemade chili!
It is my hope this Christmas that we all take time to really soak up some wonderful moments with family and friends. I know I’m also incredibly thankful for the baby that was born in the manger, that lived His life among men, and then gave that life so that we may spend eternity with Him.
What an incredible gift!
Merry Christmas and lots of love from my family to yours!

I love Christmas cards! Used to send them out every year!! Then I had a horrific thought when my kids were little wearing the coordinated outfits (I get I’m weird!)…. I realized most people throw away Christmas cards after the season. Which meant pictures of my 2 stinking gorgeous babies were going in the trash with like stuff cleaned out of the fridge. My kids..in the trash! Never sent them again!???. Make the one and saved myself a lot of stress! That being said….I love getting Christmas cards! And…..throw them away in a paper Christmas bag. #respectthecutecards
