Today’s post is one of my favorite posts each and every month. Today I’m sharing your Top 12 picks from May.
Not surprisingly, many of y’alls top picks are in my top picks for the month as well. All 12 items (13 actually!) I’m featuring today are items that I added to my own closet (or already owned), and because of that they are items that you will continue to see on the blog. And what’s extra great about this favorites list is that 11 of the items are UNDER $100, some are under $80, and a couple are under $50. The picks that made this month’s top list are from Nordstrom, J. Crew Factory, J. Crew, Colleen Rothschild, Zappos, and U Beauty. And FOUR of the items have appeared on previous month’s lists as well…. like both pairs of denim shorts, the sandals, the neck cream, and the sweatshirt!

CREWNECK BEACH SWEATER
I bought a white summer sweater from Loft probably 5-6 years ago that was very similar to this sweater. I loved that Loft sweater so much that by the end of the season I also had an olive green one, a hot pink one, and a white and navy striped one. All 4 still hang in my closet today, and I still wear all four (although they are finally beginning to show signs of wear). I mean, it isn’t surprising since I’ve worn them and washed them countless times over the years. (FUNNY STORY: Just last week I wore the striped one and washed it with a new red top on accident. It came out of the washing machine light pink and navy, and I actually love it! Haha!)
Well, this sweater is the most similar sweater I’ve found since that OG sweater 5 years ago. And right now it’s 50% OFF!!!
And because I now know how much I’ll wear it, I immediately bought this new one in 3 colors while it was on sale. I have white, the neutral stripe, and the blue. But dang the pink is cute too. 😉
This sweater is a perfect staple for everybody to have at least 1 in their closet. It’s great for spring, but since it’s super lightweight, you’ll also find it’s good all the way thru summer. I will say that the sizing does seem a bit inconsistent, but that’s okay. I have a medium in all 3 colors, but the white one seems a bit bigger than the others. I would say you might want to consider sizing down if between sizes, but I like the relaxed fit of the medium on me.

I’m sorry, but how good is this neutral stripe? Totally classic and oh so chic. And you’re not going to believe it, but this wood necklace is under $10 on Amazon.
These drawstring shorts are 100% cotton with a 4″ inseam, and they’re ON SALE too! They’ve got a relaxed vibe, and I know I’ll be reaching for them all summer long. I’m wearing a 6 here, but they aren’t as loose as I wanted them to be, so I’m going to exchange for an 8 so they’ll be a little more roomy on me.

You knew I’d pair the neutral stripe with my cream jeans, right? 😉 And with my favorite new chunky heart turquoise necklace (that also made this month’s list).
These wide leg cream jeans are adorable and so on trend. But although they’re called “cream”, they don’t lean yellow like many creams do, so I think of them more like an ecru. They’re just a perfect neutral. They’ve got a great amount of stretch, but they still manage to maintain their shape. And although they are definitely a wide leg, I think they are still quite flattering. For size reference, I’m wearing my regular size 4.

These pull-on linen pants are FABULOUS and ON SALE. They are EASY, EFFORTLESS, and oh so CHIC. Relaxed pants like this are all the rage this season, and this “sky chambray” color is IT. The sweater isn’t from LOFT, but it is still on sale, and I love the monochromatic look when I paired the sweater with the pants. For size reference, I’m wearing a petite medium in the pants, but I think I’d be happier in a petite small. I’m thinking they will still be roomy, but they will be a bit more flattering in the small.
I think this would be a great travel outfit because it’s obviously super comfy, but it’s obviously more elevated than like a jogger or athleisure set.

These light wash kick flare jeans have 150 reviews and most of them are 5 stars, so I’m not the only one that loves them. They are lightweight, stretchy, and flattering! I think you’ll find yourself reaching for them all year long. True to size, I’m wearing a 27.

EMBROIDERED BUBBLE TOP
I mean, LOVE.
This embroidered bubble top is a 100% crip cotton poplin, fully lined so the cut-out embroidery doesn’t show any skin, and it’s got a fun bubble hem. I prefer to wear my bubble hem pulled down, but you could of course pull it up again if you want to show your midriff. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.
The embroidered midi skirt is also a crisp cotton poplin. It has an elastic waist, pockets, and is partially lined. And look at the scalloped hem! I got a small in the skirt. The skirt didn’t make the top 12, but it totally should have!

LINEN PULL-ON SHORTS
Okay. If I had to pick my very favorite item of the month, it would probably be these shorts (followed closely by the beach sweater).
Over the month, I showed them in “flax”, in a scalloped black, and in a navy floral. It’s no wonder they are in the Top 12 because I showed them so much!

In fact, I loved it so much that I put it together in real life too. I just switched out the slingback flats for the super tall block heels for a dressier look.

There are over 900 reviews of the shirt, and the average rating is 4.8 STARS. People love this shirt. It’s a closet staple for sure, and you will be able to style it so many different ways. I’m wearing a medium and like the relaxed fit. If you want a more tailored fit, size down 1.
The linen pull-on shorts are obviously incredibly comfortable with a wide elastic waistband. They have almost 700 reviews with an average rating of 4.7 STARS. I grabbed them in a medium, but I’m exchanging them for a small. They were just a little too roomy for my liking, and I think the smalls are still going to be a relaxed fit (which I want).

These navy floral shorts were actually the first pair I got. I love them so much. Again, I’m wearing a small.
This linen boatneck top is light, it’s airy, and it’s perfect for spring and summer. I love the boatneck and the boxy fit, and you know I love the color. I’ll be wearing this top with regular denim, with white denim, with cream denim, and hopefully with an array of drawstring shorts (both solids and patterns).

This linen set is definitely expensive, but my goodness it is OH SO CHIC. The eyelet pattern is gorgeous, and I’m absolutely OBSESSED with the scallops on the blouse and the shorts.

I’m of course loving the black too. And even though I think the white is gorgeous, I thought I would be able to wear the black set more often. So I ordered it! It was supposed to arrive earlier this week, but it got delayed, so I will show the set on me later this week.

BANDEAU SWIMSUIT
I grabbed this swimsuit a couple of weeks ago and can’t say enough good things about it. It is soooo flattering because of the cut of it and the ruching, but it’s also incredibly comfortable. And I love the halter straps. And the pattern and colors? LOVE. I feel so good about myself in it… which there is no bigger endorsement for a swimsuit!

This crochet cover up is absolutely fabulous. It’s so soft, very stretchy, and super comfy. And I love the scallop details on the neck, sleeves, and hem. I’m wearing the black scrunchie suit under it, so the entire outfit is totally chic. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.
I will say, although I love the look of the straw tote, I don’t really love how it functions. It is big and can definitely hold a lot, but there’s not enough structure to really transport it easily if it’s full.

These NEW TO ME denim shorts have a 4 1/2″ inseam, so they are still short, but not too short. They don’t have any distressing at all, and they have a finished hem instead of a frayed hem. So these are the “cleanest” of the bunch I’m reviewing for sure. I’m wearing my regular size 4, but they are very stretchy and forgiving. If you are between sizes, I would recommend sizing down.

This orange floral top is darling! The color is gorgeous, the floral pattern is playful, and I love the split neck and subtle puff sleeves. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium. If you’re like me and love a super relaxed fit top, this peplum blouse is going to be right up your alley. It’s light, it’s airy, it’s flouncy, and it’s fabulous. It’s a little boho, but not at all over the top. I had to have the black, but it also comes in a pretty pink floral pattern and a pretty light green floral too. I’m wearing the medium, but I would size down if between sizes. (FYI: It comes in two light small florals that are NOW ON SALE.)
These olive wide leg jeans are incredibly comfy and have quite a bit more stretch than the cream ones, and the wide leg isn’t quite as wide. I actually like the fit of these better. And my goodness they are the perfect match for this top. For size reference, I’m wearing my regular size 4. I’ll style these pants with solid white, solid black, light pink, and stripes… and that’s just off the top of my head.

What’s better than seersucker in the summer? Almost nothing!
The orange and blue color combo on this dress is adorable, the orange accents on the neckline and sleeves really pop, and I love the shape and fit. AND THE SEERSUCKER, y’all! I’m obsessed with the seersucker. I seriously love everything about this dress. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium. (I think I could have done a small, but I needed a medium in the chest.) This one comes in extended sizing from XS to XXXL.

UNSEEN SUNSCREEN
The Unseen Sunscreen IS AMAZING and it’s been a Top 5 product for me for years now. I use it EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. I use and love so many Supergoop products, but this is the one that I absolutely swear by. It’s MUST HAVE for me for sure, and it won an Allure Best of Beauty Award in 2025.
It’s weightless, invisible, scent free, and gives incredible coverage and protection. My skin absorbs it very quickly (like IMMEDIATELY!) and there is NO TRACE of it. It’s not oily or greasy, it gives a matte finish, and it doesn’t leave any white residue behind either. In fact, I think it goes on and feels just like a high-end primer. It’s velvety in texture and it totally just glides on your skin, both under and even over your makeup. (I usually hate the feel of sunscreen on my face, but not with the this!) Also, from reading reviews it seems it’s awesome for people with super sensitive skin. I’m telling you, the product is absolutely incredible.
The Supergoop Glow Screen is another sunscreen for your face, but this one can also basically double as a light foundation. If it’s just a regular day for me, I’m going to use the Unseen Sunscreen on my face before I apply my regular face make-up. If I’m going to be in the sun for a prolonged period of time and a full face of makeup isn’t the vibe, I’m going to choose the Glow Screen. It provides coverage (obviously) along with some great color! And please don’t let the “GLOW” in the name scare you. It’s very subtle and just really pretty!
I seriously cannot recommend these products enough. I want all of you to try them because they are truly amazing.

ORANGE AND PINK EYELET DRESS

I bought it immediately.
This dress is actually a punchy pink and orange that is very bright and happy in real life (even though the colors appear muted in the picture below). It’s 100% cotton and lined with a split neck and subtle puff sleeves. The eyelet embroidery work is so pretty and could definitely pass for a $250 Tuckernuck dress. This was an instant favorite for me, and I think it looks great with the turquoise heart necklace. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.

It will give you an instant, soft-focus glow. It’s like a filter in a tube, friends! TRULY!
As you can see, it’s available in two universally flattering shades. Both are designed to complement a wide range of skin tones.
The CHAMPAGNE is the lighter shade and gives a soft and radiant glow.
And below you can see BRONZE that gives a warm, sun-kissed effect. This one is my favorite.
I use the “bronze” shade and mix it with my Lumi Glotion (shade medium) every single day. This combo is what I use now instead of traditional foundation. It goes on BEAUTIFULLY, and my skin looks radiant and healthy, and it’s not heavy at all like I find so many traditional foundations to be. TODDLER DENIM SHORTS
These denim shorts have been an absolute favorite of mine for several years now. I call them my toddler shorts because they have an elastic back, although the front button and zipper are fully functioning. I already own them in the “rocky blue” and the “medium indigo wash”. This year they also come in olive, natural, light pink, and black. They are lightweight, comfy, and a perfectly relaxed fit. For size reference, the size medium is perfect on me.

I already own this sweatshirt in a vibrant orange and the neutral stone AND I LOVE BOTH, so I couldn’t resist the stripe. I will say though, I think the weight and the fit of this one is a tiny bit different. This one seems to be a bit lighter weight and a bit less structured. It still has the subtle puff sleeves with the banding on the sleeves and the hem, but it’s a bit of a looser fit. It’s still good, but for some reason I don’t love it as much as I do the solid colors I already own. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.

This strapless suit is made out of an incredible textured scrunchie material. It’s perfectly stretchy and very forgiving, but it feels super high end. In fact, it reminds me of the Hunza G suits that are much more expensive. I went for the classic black, but it also comes in brown, white, a vibrant blue, and a fiery red. You can wear it strapless, you can use 1 strap halter style, or you can use both straps (one over each shoulder).
I should also mention, this is like Day 2 of my new self-tanner after two showers. It’s not aggressive at all, but it’s MUCH BETTER than my natural skin. I just look like I’ve had a healthy dose of sun.

So here’s the same outfit idea, I just switched the suit from the scrunchie 1 piece to this floral bandeau.
I’m in love with this suit. The purple floral print is so feminine and pretty, and the ruching is so forgiving and flattering. It’s also an incredibly comfy suit.

RAFFIA BUCKLE SANDALS
This is my 2nd year (or maybe even 3rd?) with these sandals. They keep bringing them back because they’re just that good. I already tried to buy a new pair of sandals this year, but so far I haven’t found any I like as much as these. They’re totally casual enough to wear with cut-offs, but they also look great with a dress!
They are stylish, comfortable, and the raffia detail coupled with the buckle is such a fun combination. I’m wearing the “cuoio” which is a nice and rich brown. True to size for me.

KUT DENIM SHORTS
These denim shorts ARE SO GOOD. They have a 6″ inseam, so they provide a good amount of length, but I don’t feel matronly in them at all! I just feel covered, but cute. Basically, I still feel like a cool and hip mom, while managing to stay totally age appropriate. They are slim cut (which makes them flattering), but I love the roominess of the leg opening. I’m wearing my regular size 4. Also, they’re pretty affordable at $79!!!
I’m always getting asked for a white tee recommendation. I feel like the one I’m wearing here is a dang near perfect white tee. It’s a good medium weight, it’s not see-thru at all, it holds its shape, it’s a great length (not to short or long), and it’s not boxy (but it’s not fitted either). For size reference, I’m wearing a medium. It has 364 reviews, and the great majority are 5 stars, so the people agree. 😉

The ric rac trim and the mix of floral and striped patterns make this top so so charming. I like it with a 1/2 tuck, but you can see on the left that the wide banded hem make it great worn out too. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium, but I definitely need a small. It doesn’t look like it in these pictures, but it’s quite roomy all over. I would definitely suggest sizing down 1 size.

I showed you this Peter Pan collar blouse in black a couple of weeks ago, and I loved it so much that I grabbed it in white too.

Well, ladies. It’s my favorite green! This top has an all over eyelet embroidery that is adorable. Be aware that the eyelet is open and the top isn’t lined, but I still don’t feel like I need to wear a cami under it. And the elastic banded hem with the little ruffle trim makes this top extra special. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.

This lace pintuck top jumped into my cart last month, and I’m so glad it did! It has fluttery sleeves, a flowy fit, and great details. I love the textured lattice pattern, the split neck, and the soft pleats. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.

U BEAUTY NECK SCULPT
U Beauty has been alllllll over my social media feeds for several months now.
Today we are talking specifically about the neck cream. I talked about this product for the first time last month in a Mother’s Day Collage, and lots of y’all ordered it.
Because here’s the deal… we all know that our necks realllllllllllly show our age, but we often neglect our necks…so I’ve decided that I’m going to start really paying attention to mine and doing everything I can to both prevent and even reverse some aging signs. Now I will say, my neck isn’t really a big problem area for me yet, but I want to keep it that way!!!
Here’s my BEFORE picture. Not bad, but definitely some of what they are calling “tech neck” with those two defined lines that I highlighted with the arrows. (Pay no attention to my sunspots on my chest. Nothing to see here.)
I hope to be able to show a really good personal AFTER picture in a couple of months! I am already seeing some initial results with the skin on my neck appearing firmer and smoother! Now I’m just anxious to see if the couple of horizontal lines I have across my neck will start slowly diminishing.
If you’re algorithm is anything like mine, you’ve been seeing this brand all over your feed. It’s a little bit on the expensive side, but all of the before and after pictures I see are absolutely incredible and make me think the products are well worth the price. I actually just ordered the Super Tinted Hydrator and can’t wait to review it soon too. It’s make-up and skincare in one!

This has been one of my personal favorite items since I first found it last fall. It sold out before Christmas, but I’m happy to say it’s now back in several new colors! It’s a medium weight, it’s lined with a light fleece… so it’s warm, but it’s not too warm, and it’s not bulky at all. It’s very soft and super cozy. And although not bulky, it is an oversized and relaxed fit. SIZE DOWN for sure. Had I bought it online, I think I would have ordered my regular medium… but I’m wearing an X-SMALL. I’m never an x-small, so seriously, size down at least 1…. but you probably want to size down two full sizes unless you want it really oversized (because the x-small is still roomy on me). I LOVE IT SO MUCH.
And yeah, I grabbed in this light blue too. Don’t judge.
I donated all of the other long sweatshirts in my closet because I knew I would never reach for them again. I feel good about my decision. #noregrets

This oversized boyfriend tee is truly perfection. Size WAY down. I’m wearing an x-small here and it is still a relaxed fit. It’s soft as can be, and I love the wide v-neck. It comes in 7 colors, and I bet most of you end up getting more than 1 color. I have in blue, pink, and I’m thinking about grabbing the orange. I sleep in them, and I wear them with denim shorts as well.
Sadly, most of the boxers are sold out, and that’s really too bad because I was going to buy 2 more pairs for myself.

I don’t wear that many strapless or backless tops, but I’m going to be wearing CAKES this summer in my swimsuits! That’s right! I just got this swimsuit last week AND LOVE IT. I’m going to go out on a limb and say it’s the most flattering swimsuit I’ve ever put on my body, and it is NOW ON SALE! Its pads are perfectly sewn in place and don’t move at all (the sign of a really great swimsuit), so I actually won’t be needing to wear CAKES with this suit, but I will with every single other suit I own! There are even pics on the site of people wearing the triangle CAKES with triangle bikini tops.
