Most of us became familiar with the brand when it was available at LOFT (it still is by the way), but as I told you a couple of weeks ago, Lou and Grey now has a handful of stand alone stores. As I understand it, the line became so popular at LOFT (and developed such loyal customers – a bit of a cult following actually) that it proved itself as a brand and made the stand alone stores and website possible. While at Northpark last month, I checked out one of those free standing stores for the first time and absolutely loved it. The overall vibe of the clothes and the store is just cool!
If you aren’t familiar with Lou and Grey, here’s what you need to know.
It’s all about laid back style. It’s big on comfort, while still remaining chic.
It’s basically lounge wear that can be (and should be!) worn outside of the house.
In my first trip to the store, I picked up THIS shirt.
And I LOVE and ADORE it.
It’s so easy to throw on and look put together immediately!
I’ve already worn it twice, and I have no doubt it’s going to be one of those items I reach for again and again. It’s a great cut (loose without being baggy), and I love the windowpane print.
The first time I wore it I paired it with distressed jeans, booties, and my favorite turquoise necklace
for a pop of color!
lou and grey plaid palette shirt / my new cross body bag
earrings/ arrow necklace / similar jeans ON SALE / watch / buckle booties c/o UGG, but also available at Nordstrom HERE
For size reference, I’m wearing a small in the top, so I think it’s true to size.
And my booties? Well, they are new and I love them SO MUCH!
Next week you will get an entire post dedicated to them!

The next time I wore the shirt, I switched up my jewelry and my bag.
I wore it with THIS necklace, THESE earrings, and carried my favorite leather tote (remember to use the code PTMTSAVE10 for 10% OFF your order).

wood earrings / tiger’s eye slab pendent / wrap bracelet / cushion cut bracelet

No judgement here. I totally get that. When you find something you love and that works with your body, buy ’em up!
How great would this particular one be with white jeans!!!!
And it also comes in white, olive (also awesome with white jeans), and dark indigo.
I’m seriously tempted to get this light chambray and the olive. Good for now and well into the summer on cool summer evenings!
Loving THIS soft dark chambray one (with fantastic reviews)!
And check out THIS gingham!
They also have a Signature Soft line that people go bonkers over.
THIS tunic is from that line.
The site describes it as a cross between a cashmere sweater and a sweatshirt.
SIGN. ME. UP.
And THIS cardigan is right up my alley.
Also available in grey HERE.
Shipping is FREE (no minimums!), and you can click HERE to read their return policy.
If you haven’t checked out their site, you really need to do so HERE.
You will start to get a feel for their laid back vibe, and you will seriously feel relaxed just looking at the pictures. But fair warning, you’ll want to put on nothing but cozy clothes and just lay around.
And just fyi, this post was not sponsored, I just wanted to share Lou and Grey with y’all!
And for no other reason than I can’t help myself, here are some sale items I threw
together into an outfit.
/ v neck / cardigan / jeans / booties /
earrings / gorjana bar pendent / fringe bag
