IT’S FRIDAY, Y’ALL!!!!!
And let me say this, I couldn’t be happier.
This week was a doozie.
We’re headed to the ranch this weekend, and I’m excited to get some away time. G-Mommy (Chris’s grandmother) is turning 90 years old, so we are excited to get together with other family to celebrate her!
Before you get started on your weekend, I’ve got some AWESOME Amazon finds for you today! Did you see Monday’s collage? I featured some under $40 items from Amazon caught my eye while browsing. And if I didn’t own the item yet, I went and and ordered the items. #letscallitresearch
Soooooooooooooo, the first part of today’s Amazon Haul is dedicated to showcasing some of the below items that I ordered! ALL UNDER $40!
1) ruffle sleeve dress / 2) sunglasses / 3) striped bag / 4) yellow maxi skirt / 5) blue lounge set / 6) tassel necklace / 7) straw square bag / 8) H-band slide sandals / 9) raffia hoop earrings / 10) embroidered dress / 11) lip mask / 12) orange peplum tee
First up, check out the green dress! You might remember that I featured this dress in red a couple of weeks ago. I loved it so much, I thought it would be fun to grab this bright and fresh green. #iwasright
This DARLING ruffle sleeve dress is lightweight, soft, feminine, and flirty. Notice the double ruffle sleeve, the deep v neck, and the way it lays so nicely. You’ll see that not all of the reviews are raving like mine, but I really do love this dress. I do agree with some reviewers that it would be best suited for those that aren’t super busty, but it’s actually okay on me (watch for size info. next). It comes in 12 colors, so there’s something for everybody! And the dress is lined, which is awesome.
Now let’s talk sizing. I’m wearing a medium in this green one, but I’m wearing a large in the red one (picture several down below). I prefer the large in the chest area, but I prefer the fit of the medium everywhere else.
And here you can see the rattan hoops, tassel necklace, and the sunglasses that are also from the collage. I’m super sad that the necklace has already sold out. Y’all scooped it up when I featured it on Monday’s collage.
As a reminder, here it is in red. Again, I’m wearing a large in this one and you can see how it’s a bit longer and cut a bit more generously.
ruffle sleeve dress / earrings / sunglasses / multicolor clutch /True Colors necklace / Chasing Rainbows 30″ necklace / True Colors bracelets / gold beaded stack bracelets / wedges (order 1/2 size up)
Okay, on to the next UNDER $40 find!
Do you remember my Madewell post I did in May? Lots of y’all fell in love with the graphic yellow floral maxi skirt, but the price tag was high, so I had some requests to find an Amazon dupe. Here’s the skirt that was my inspiration.
And here’s the Amazon dupe! The material isn’t as nice as the inspiration skirt (which I expected), but it’s definitely the same vibe, and it’s much cheaper. The Madewell skirt is $98, and this skirt is $31.99! Almost 1/3 of the price!
The waist is elastic (PRAISE HANDS!), and I think it’s pretty dang cute! The H band slide sandals are also from the collage. They are designer inspired, the footbed is cushiony so they are very comfy, and they are super cute! I sized up a 1/2.
When creating the Under $40 collage, I knew I wanted to include a lounge set. The vibrant blue spoke to me, and I’m so happy I grabbed it. It’s incredibly soft. Like realllllllllllly soft. I’m wearing a small here (don’t know why I didn’t get a medium, because I always order a medium in pjs.) The fit is cute, but I’m definitely returning for a medium. I want my pajamas a bit roomier.
The picture of the lounge set on the site inspired me to style it for running around town. Throw on some earrings, shoes, and a cute bag…and you’ve got yourself a comfy outfit made for errands!
At $35.99, this adorable embroidered dress fell just below the collage cut off price. I love embroidery, I love rick rack, and I love a ruffle hem. This dress called to me. As is often times the case, the chest area was too small on me. This fabric has NO GIVE, and although I was able to get it on for this picture, I would not have been comfortable in it all day long. It’s definitely pulling across the back.
So I ordered a large to compare! Once again, I prefer the shorter fit of the medium, but I definitely need a large in the chest, so large it is.
The neckline on this has a tiny split, but it’s still a bit high. It’s obviously not a turtleneck or anything, but if high necklines bother you, you might want to pass on this dress.
At just $19.99, this peplum tee comes in way under budget.
And it’s awesome.
I’m not ashamed to say that I now own this tee in orange, navy, red, and white. I wear them ALL THE TIME. I also love the hot pink, blush pink, and light blue. I own some in small and some in medium. This one is a small. If you want a more swingy fit, size up 1. You’ll see me in the navy one in a medium later in the post.
And although they weren’t on the collage, these stretchy white denim shorts are under $40 AND they are awesome. There are a ton of shorts on this one link, and these exact ones are the #4 white (which appears to be sold out). However, the#3 looks and the #5 looks like the same pair of shorts with no distressing. They are stretchy, comfy, and have great reviews. Don’t let the “small, medium, large….” sizing scare you. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium, and I’m most often a 27.
Here’s the same outfit, but with the denim version of the shorts.
These stretch denim shorts are the A1 Cape Blue (you choose this option from a drop-down box). First and foremost, they are SUPER stretchy. Like reallllllllllly stretchy, so they are super comfy. You can see there is definitely some distressing, and I like the interest it gives. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium. These are definitely on the shorter side, so keep that in mind if you prefer a longer short.
FYI, I used this tanner to achieve the bronze looks above! I have several tanners that I use and love (all from different retailers), but Fake Bake is my favorite from Amazon for sure. It goes on dark, so I can immediately see if I’ve missed a spot and can correct it right away. It’s a nice bronzy brown color, and not orange at all.
GETTING READY FOR THE 4th
I thought today would also be a good time to provide you with some outfit inspiration for July 4th!
I had to style the white tee with my favorite denim shorts (one of the few items in today’s post not from Amazon) and my new flag hat! I’ll be wearing this hat all year long, but it’s going to be PERFECT for the 4th and Memorial Day. The hat link actually has probably 50 or so hat options on it, so go check them out if you’re a baseball cap kinda girl!
The crewneck tees are out of stock, but the v-neck version (which I actually like better) is available HERE…..
Here’s another white tee and denim shorts outfit, but this one is with 5″ shorts. And this is the v-neck tee!
These 5″ shorts have Ab-Solution technology and a great amount of stretch with an awesome fit. And some of the sizes are on SUPER SALE!
- Mid rise 5″ Short
- Inseam: 7″ Cuffed to 5″
- 54% Cotton, 25% Rayon, 19% Polyester, 2% Spandex
You’ll see on the model online that these shorts are cuffed twice, but I prefer this pair cuffed once, although the versatility is nice. They are so soft, so comfy, very stretchy, and did I mention comfy? For size reference, I’m wearing my regular size 4.
I love a great set of kitchen towels. I think I’ve shared this before, but a new set of kitchen towels can inspire me to clean the entire house. FOR REAL. I clicked “add to cart” the second I saw these. The pattern, the colors, the ruffle, the vintage look. IT’S ALL SO GOOD. And yes, I cleaned the house. 🙂
A red tee with denim shorts and white sandals is an easy look for the 4th. The tee is soft, has adorable tulip sleeves, and a fun peplum hem. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.
This dress would of course be great all year long, but it will be particularly perfect on the 4th. It’s soft, stretchy, and the red and navy pattern is festive. It feels like a jersey knit. For size reference, I’m wearing a small.
Oh wait, I have this tee in royal blue too. That makes 4. #oops
Change the jewelry, pair with cut-offs instead of jeans, and you are ready for the 4th! I obviously like it a lot, which is why I keep ordering it year after year. It has EXCELLENT reviews and comes in tons of colors. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium here.
This floral top definitely runs on the super small side, but I think it’s a lot of fun. I’m wearing a medium here, and it’s still pretty snug so I’m going to try a large. I love it with white jeans, and I think it would be great on the 4th.
It’s super cute with denim shorts too.
Y’ALL. PAY ATTENTION TO THESE DENIM SHORTS! They have a 5″ inseam, so they are a great length for all of us moms out there that want to be tasteful when running around this summer! Haha! Plus, they are Democracy and have our favorite Ab-Solution technology! They are very stretchy, super comfortable, and flattering. For size reference, I’m wearing my regular size 4.
The material of this swing dress isn’t like a regular cotton t-shirt dress, it’s 95% rayon and 5% spandex, but don’t get worried and think that means it’s super hot and not breathable, because it’s actually cool and totally breathable. Oh, and it doesn’t seem to wrinkle at all!
It’s got some stretch in it, and it skims the body and doesn’t hug it at all. Plus, it’s super comfy AND it has pockets. #score My wavy stripe is a little funky and reminds me of tie-dye, but it comes in lots of solids and classic stripes as well. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.
You saw this dress above, but if you style it correctly, it will be perfect for the 4th too.
And how cute is this tee?
This smocked chiffon blouse is fully lined, has a smocked top, and it drapes very nicely. It’s super feminine, lightweight, and flowy. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium, but I need a small.
LOOK HOW CUTE! You might remember this tee from last year, and IT’S SO GOOD!
The tee is soft with a great fit. It’s not boxy, but not too tight either. I’m wearing a medium and definitely needed the room in the chest. Such a cute and easy outfit for a festive 4th!
This America tee also comes in white and blue.
This swing peplum tee is so cute, so flattering, and so soft! I LOVE THIS TEE. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.
Look how cute the soft pleats are on the peplum!
This tee is lighter blue and it’s got a v neck for those of you that prefer that. This one comes in solids, patterns, and stripes. You need to check out all of the options! For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.
This babydoll peplum top is the dark navy. It’s no secret that I love this tee.
Not all of these next finds are from Amazon, but many of them are. I first shared this collage several weeks ago (before Memorial Day), but I thought sharing it again would be a good idea now that it’s really time to grab our outfits and swimsuits for the 4th!
1) USA tee / 2) silver star necklace / 3) earrings / 4) navy and white cotton tank / 5) navy America tee / 6) red gingham bag / 7) smocked top / 8) red and white stiped midi dress / 9) evil eye khaki bag / 10) red square neck dress / 11) navy and white puff sleeve top / 12) red tie front cami / 13) striped ruffle sleeve top / 14) navy stripe bow sandals / 15) American flag hat / 16) white cover up / 17) navy and white cover up / 18) red swimsuit / 19) blue and white swimsuit / 20) blue and white striped tote / 21) red, white, and blue bikini
I’ve also got a handful of great beauty finds from Amazon!
I’ve been screaming about the Laneige lip mask for years, and it was one of the items on my under $40 collage! I seriously can’t live without it. These Lumify eye drops are one of my newest Amazon purchases. I’ve seen a lot of influencers talk about them, and I finally caved. LISTEN. The other ladies were right. These eye drops are amazing. They really do brighten and whiten my eyeballs! They make a dramatic difference. (I tried to take a picture of my eyeballs, but it didn’t go well.) Check out the 43,000 reviews, with the majority of them being 5 star! WOW!
Okay, here are 2 more new beauty finds! Again, I was #influenced with the Dime eyelash serum. I’ve only been using it for 3 days, so I can’t give a review yet, but I’ve heard you have to use it consistently for a solid 6 weeks. After that 6 weeks, the growth is supposed to be amazing. Don’t worry, I’ll report back.
When I saw the Dime Power Patches, I couldn’t resist them. I’ll be honest, I think it’s their cute packaging that got me. Well that, and the stellar reviews.
And finally, here are two makeup products that I’ve been having fun with. At the recommendation of a reader I bought the Flower Beauty luminous bronzer, and I’ve been so happy with it! It’s a nice bronzy brown color (cool and not warm), and it’s got some highlighting qualities, but it’s not too shimmery. A little goes a really long way with the Ilia Liquid Light Serum Highlighter. I take a tiny bit and just sweep it on the top of my blush line, on the end of my nose, and right above the cupid’s bow on my upper lip.
That’s all for today, y’all! I hope you were able to grab some fabulous Amazon finds, and I hope you have a wonderful weekend with your people!
