I was asked to show some items from the Peter Millar Collection.
And when I found out that I would get a gift card for a reader, I was all over it!
Are any of you interested in $250 to Nordstrom?!?
OR….
and I’m just throwing this out there…
You could buy him a $20 scarf and buy yourself $230 worth of tunics.
Just an idea.
😉
So, in honor of the Peter Millar line and the Nordstrom gift card…
I present to you the Nordstrom ONE-STOP-SHOP for the men in your life.
The purpose of today’s post is to help you TOTALLY KNOCK OUT the shopping for ALL the men in your life all at one time, all in one place.
We’re talking husbands, dads, brothers, brother in laws, sons, sons-in-laws, EVERYBODY.
Nordstrom is THE PERFECT place to do this for 2 reasons:
1) Free Shipping
2) Free Returns.
Shopping for the men in your life is a no-brainer because of this.
Their return policy is HANDS DOWN the best in the business, and whatever you order online comes with a return address label on it. So, if for some reason your man doesn’t love the gift, neither one of you have to even go back to the store to return it.
Just slap the label on the box, and pop it right back in the mail.
It’s stupid easy.
Seriously, just get it all done right now and cross it off your list!
(And if you’re like me, if shopping for the guys in your life isn’t actually written down on a list yet, that’s ok. Shop, then write it down, and then cross it off. That’s what I’d do anyway! Doesn’t it feel sooooooooooooooooo good to cross things off a list?!?)
🙂
Last year I did a gift guide for men with things from all over the internet. But I realized that wasn’t conducive to EASY shopping, and it often meant shipping charges from several different retailers So, today I’ve pulled things only from Nordstrom. It was the only place that made sense, because Nordstrom carries MY VERY FAVORITE gift for guys. And I would NEVER do a men’s gift guide without this VERY FAVORITE item.
Stay tuned for the favorite item….
I’m going to start out with the Peter Millar stuff.
It’s what is earning one of you lucky ladies a gift card after all!
I googled Peter Millar to see what I could find out.
This is what I found:
the Peter Millar line embraces a classic, old-world style resplendent in
sharp detail, superb craftsmanship, and only the highest quality
materials available.
Pinterest Told Me To translation:
Peter Millar makees super sharp clothes.
If you want your man to look TOTALLY SHARP (and who doesn’t?), this is the line for you.
Some of my favorite items follow.
(I have no idea why Nordstrom chooses to only show the chiseled jaw lines of their male models. Show us the whole face Nordstrom!)
A) check sport shirt HERE
B) polo HERE
C) quilted jacket HERE
D) merino wool v neck sweater HERE
E) quarter zip fleece shirt HERE
Peter Millar also has a line of University Shirts that you can find HERE.
Just in case you want to browse through some more Peter Millar items, I’ve installed this handy dandy little widget. Click on what you are interested in for details and pricing.
There’s no denying that Mr. Millar knows what he’s doing when it comes to classic menswear.

And don’t worry, I still have one thing up my sleeve for you girls at the end of this post that I promise you don’t want to miss. My favorite boots ever just went on sale. Yep.
And not just a little bit on sale…a lot on sale….40% OFF!
Does your guy travel a lot?
And if he does travel, look at THIS wheelie travel bag. It looks so versatile and awesome.
He says it offers crisp and clear sound that you wouldn’t expect from a device this small.
Yep. He was sitting on the porch in THIS jacket listening to THIS speaker.
Click HERE for the Bose Soundlink Mini Bluetooth Speaker.
If you’re guy is in to gadgets (my guy TOTALLY is), he would LOVE this.
Chris loves all BOSE products, and Nordstrom carries several HERE.
Here’s what the company has to say about the speaker above:
A portable speaker delivers incredibly full sound from an incredibly
compact source. Small enough to fit into your hand, the SoundLink®
speaker connects wirelessly to your Bluetooth device so you can play
your tunes or videos anywhere. The included charging cradle serves as a
home base and lets you grab your speakers and go.
Lithium+ ion battery allows up to 7 hours of unplugged play time.
If you are technologically challenged (like I am) and don’t totally understand everything written above, watch the 30 second commercial and you will understand.

bought a pair of these 3 years ago and they are still going strong. I
wear them daily. I have been really hard on these slippers and they
merely show normal ware and tear.
I recommend them anyone looking for a slipper that is as comfortable in the summer as it is in the snow…..This is the one.
They are gloves that you can wear AND STILL USE A TOUCH SCREEN AT THE SAME TIME!
There is a special type of technology built into the fingertips that allow you to operate a touchscreen with the gloves on.
Tell me what man in your life doesn’t need these.
Okay…maybe your great grandfather doesn’t need these, but everybody else does.

In addition to the gloves pictured, there are several other choices for men and boys HERE.

However, if you are looking for something a bit more within reach, there are lots of watches for between $100-$300 HERE.
(It appears that I’m a little bit widget impaired. There are supposed to be 3 watches below. I don’t know why those 3 watches are appearing 74,000 times. Oh well.)
My favorite is the Fossil on the left that is only $105!
All watches pictured below are between $100-$180.
GREAT gift. GREAT price!
Click on the picture of the watch you are interested in!

I can’t believe I almost forget my guy’s favorite tennis shoes.
Brooks.
The review of the below shoe made me smile.
run 20-40 miles a week and these have been the best shoes I have ever
bought. Light, good feel and just enough cushion for short and longer
distances. I own 3 pairs now and just alternate them between runs.
Average life of the shoe is 250-300 miles.
For the record, I would like to tell the man that wrote that review to grab a bag of potato chips and pop a squat on the couch.
Take a day off man, you deserve it.
My guy isn’t a runner, but when he broke a bone in his foot earlier this year, his doctor recommended (STRONGLY recommended) that he only wear Brooks tennis shoes after he got out of the boot (which he was in for 3 months!).
She said that they do a great job of supporting the foot correctly.
Chris loves them and just goes on and on about how comfy they are.
Click HERE for the exact shoe, and click HERE for the entire line of Brooks.
THESE are the exact pair that Chris has.
And if your man needs a shoe that is more dressy than a tennis shoe, but still casual,
I love THIS one from Cole Haan (and at 33% off it’s under $100!).
And I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS Born boot.

And click HERE for a gathering of the best basics under $100.
From graphic t’s, to backpacks, to socks, to beanies, to puffer vests, to hoodies, to watches.
LOTS of AWESOME gift ideas for under $100.
Other options to consider.

*
Click HERE for what they are calling “flannel lounge pants”.
Don’t be scared, they are just plaid pajama pants, and every guy I know would want these.
*
Click HERE for all men’s belts that are under $50.
I narrowed down the belt selection for you, because they have belts that are priced up to $395.
HOLY COW.
Chris would stroke out under the Christmas tree if I gave him a $395 belt.
Let’s be honest, he would stroke out if I gave him a $95 belt.

*And JUST IN CASE you liked my original idea.
Click HERE for a scarf that is $19.50.
That leaves you $230.50 for yourself girls!
Click HERE for the tunics post.
Or if you want to just throw a tiny little something in your cart,
I suggest THIS

I am so flipping excited. Flipping EXCITED! I hate shopping for men. Hate it. It's just so BORING! You've done my shopping for me. Thank you!!!
Lyndsey says
Love all the gift ideas for my husband! We love the Northface jackets. It was one of the first things my husband bought for me when we were dating and I call it the magic jacket because you can wear it for so many different outdoor things and it adapts. He wears his almost every day in the winter. I've got some shopping to do now:)
Sara B. says
Do you have any ideas for men's shoes? Boring I know, but my husband needs some casual "going-out" shoes that are in between dress shoes and running shoes! Also I bought the black Miz Mooz boots during the sale in the summer, and I LOVE them so much, so comfortable and cute!
Sheaffer says
Hi Sara! Good question! I went back and added 2 dressier (but still casual) pairs of shoes for guys. The links are in the post right below the picture of the tennis shoe!
Dawn says
Thanks so much! My hubby is definitely the hardest to buy for! Hoping "Santa Schaeffer" brings me the gift card! 🙂
Meagan @ The Clanahan Fam says
Great job on all the guys' gift ideas – but I mean, let's be honest, my REAL excitement are my favorite boots ON SALE IN BLACK! Oh yes, ma'am. Added to shopping cart, purchased!
Daily Express says
Wow, you did an amazing job of finding really versatile Man Basics! I always go for the gift card option, but I'm impressed that your shopping skills extend to finding stuff for men and not just women!
Shawnee says
I'm going to be in soooo much trouble….I've already placed 3 different orders from Nordstrom over the weekend and now I have more stuff in my cart!!!! Hubby is going to kill me!!!! I just LOVE your blog and love that I'm so much more fashionable now!

Thanks for great ideas for the men of our lives! I have been looking forward to this one! You definitely gave me some good ideas!
Genn says
Thanks for another fun post Sheaffer! You crack me up with your funny wit. I loved your ideas.
To just throw it out there, I just bought by husband a great jacket from Nordstrom Rail by RVCA that he loved. The price was great at $75. And it is so soft. It's sort of a vest with sleeves so we couldn't decide if we should call it a jacket or a swest
Suzie says
I do like your idea about how to spend the gift card. That ratio sounds about right…..
Genn says
For sweater vest/ or call it a swackett for sweater jacket. 😉
Alison @ Get Your Pretty On says
Great ideas! I shopped for my hubby at Nordstrom over the weekend and got him a v-neck cashmere sweater, some button downs, a pair of boots and a scarf!
Loris Ayoub says
In love with the jackets ♥
Jen {Whimsy at Heart} says
This is such a great list of guy gifts, Sheaffer! My hubby would love any of them! And, I just bought the tunic that Lovie wore on your blog. I can't wait to get it in the mail!
Kate says
Love those slippers! My husband needs something warm he can slip on for when he walks the dog in the cold, cold mornings 🙂
Kaley Auston Williams says
I just bought my husband a Northface jacket for his Birthday which is this Saturday! I hope he loves it as much as I do! Oh, and thanks for the heads up, my new boots are on their way to me as I type!!!

I just bought my husband a Northface jacket for his Birthday which is this Saturday! I hope he loves it as much as I do! Oh, and thank you for the alert… my new boots are on their way to me as I type!!!
Annie Cox says
It is definitely not as fun to shop for men! Ugh! I am almost done shopping but may need to get those gloves for my husband. He just got a Northface jacket for his birthday and wears it all the time. I have 2 and could go for one more. I get a lot of use out of my coats because it is freezing in Illinois.
I also just bought the Hue leggings and the tunic Lovie had on while I was shopping for Christmas and loved them both. I went with Espresso in the leggings and surprisingly have a ton to go with them. I was going to originally buy the black but changed my mind. Thanks for your great gift ideas.
Kim Kauffman says
Such a great list! Eric loves North Face jackets and wears his all the time. He also loves all things Bose!
Tiffany {A Touch of Grace} says
Really great list! You really nailed it with the North Face jacket. It is the perfect gift. Except when your hubby has like 5 of them. That's when I move onto the scarf idea. 🙂
Shelley Polarbelle says
I've had the Northface gloves for four years. I even wear them in summer because I live in Alaska. Sure you can get cheapie knockoffs but these are far and away the best purchase I've ever made. I need pink!!
Minicoops says
Thank you! I have been looking for a watch and I might have to get him the boots too!
Lisa B says
Great ideas for the guys! Love your blog so much. Question about the contests…is there a way to be able to enter with just an email address? As craZy as it sounds, I am not on Facebook or Twitter etc… Just wanted to ask. Thanks so much!! Lisa B
Emily says
Oh my gosh! I need this. Any ideas for a new relationship? How about the partner's family?
