Sometimes thinking of a title is SO hard.
But I will tell you this. It IS informative, so that’s what I’m going with today.
I love everything about fall.
Right?
I say it’s PART 1, because I have every intention of having at least 3 parts to the “It’s FALL Y’ALL” series. We’ll see how that goes.
All I’m saying is, don’t get your hopes up.
And GREAT news, the exact pieces are
all currently available!
many of you e-mail me that I have become like your personal shopper.
You see it on me, you know if it will work for you, and then you order it online! You say that you don’t have time to get to the mall, and that I’m enabling you to “try things on” and decide what’s cute without actually having to physically go to the mall. I LOVE THAT!)
And the great news here is that I also get e-mails, blog comments, and facebook messages from you ladies saying that you are LOVING your purchases!
in the interest of making shopping as easy for you as possible, I’m
going to make a concerted effort to link to EXACT pieces whenever
possible.
CURRENTLY AVAILABLE and PERFECT FOR FALL.
Score.
The shirt is long sleeved, but it is lightweight….and oh so soft and comfy!
Pendant Neckace| Stella and Dot, HERE
Do you ladies believe yet that I’m totally obsessed with this necklace?
If you’re thinking, “Gosh….it seems like she is wearing this necklace every day.”
Well, you’re pretty much right.
Sorry I’m not sorry.
😉
These leather wrap bracelets are the perfect fall accessory! I got this for Christmas last year and liked it a lot…but now I LOVE it. It’s the perfect finishing touch to so many outfits. (And if we’re going to be honest, it’s the one and only Tory Burch thing I own. I kinda just like that I have something “designer”!)
Lace shirt| Nordstrom, HERE
For size reference, mine is a SMALL, so it runs true to size.
I might have bought these jeans too.
So here I am proving my theory again.
I am pretty much living in my other ones…..
These
are distressed like my others, but they are lighter in color.
And when I’m putting
together fall outfits, I have already found that if I have a darker
color on top (which I often do in the fall), I really like having a
lighter color jean on the bottoms.
More contrast = better.
These totally fit the bill!
Check out these HERE (still from Vigoss, of course) that are 40% off right now.
Which makes them $35 people! $35! FOR A PAIR OF GREAT FITTING JEANS!
(And for $35, you can totally get the jeans and the shirt without any guilt!)
The sale jeans still have signs of distressing, but there aren’t any full on holes.
Trust me, it happened to LOTS of people with some other Vigoss jeans that are now out of stock.
Nude flats| Nordstrom, exact pair HERE
If you know me in real life, you know that I’m wearing the snot out of these particular flats.
I think they add polish and a bit of chicness to lots of outfits.
I never dreamed I would wear them as much as I do!
This shoe has 81 5 STAR REVIEWS!
I am totally crushing on THESE. I seem to have a thing for a square toe right now.
Check out THESE for under $60!
And HERE is a pair from Born, so you know they’re comfortable!
I’m telling you, nude flats rock.
You know what else rocks?
Something that arrived in the mail yesterday to help with my fall transition.
THESE BABIES.
Gorgeous.
Fabulous.
Classic.
I might have squealed when I opened the box.
Okay, I did.
I squealed.
But can you blame me?
I
put them on my entry way rug because I wanted you to see how pretty
they looked with rich fall colors. I’m going to be wearing these
constantly.
no surprise here, but I already received a compliment on them from the
lady standing next to me at the meat counter. I bet she was sorry she
complimented them, because I might have squealed again and rambled off
something like “Iknow! Aren’ttheythegreatleopardflatsyou’veeverseen?”
at a volume level that was probably 1 or 2 levels above what should have
been deemed appropriate.

I want that white shirt! I want it right now. I absolutely love it! That shirt and the flats (because let's face it…I already have TWO pairs of the jeans). Love, love, love!
(BAD) Blog About Design says
I really like the white shirt as well. The leopard flats are pretty cute too!

You muuuust get that white shirt! I bought mine (in the Red-Earth color) 2 days ago and wore it for the first time today. As soon as I saw Shaeffer's post today with the shirt, it totally solidified my purchase 🙂 Now I want to get it in white too!

Well you have officially sold me on leopard flats!! They are fabulous!! I live in Maine so we have Fall temps in full force, but yesterday it rose to the high 70s and I thought it was hotter than heck! Guess I shouldn't be complaining:) But you are pulling off Fall fashion in the heat like no other! Loved your look!
Michele says
Cute outfits! I follow Mel's blog so that's how I learned about yours. I live in your area (NE Texas) and I'm always so bummed when I see people in other parts of the country wearing layers, boots and cute fall/winter clothes. I wore shorts and a sleeveless shirt yesterday! Oh well, just saying I totally understand your frustration, ha! I LOVE the leopard flats. I've seen several people buy those exact ones. It might be worth it since the Target version is so uncomfortable.

Love today's title!!! My thoughts exactly. It's still HOT in NC. Chilly in the morning, hot during the day and then cool again in the evening.
Love the shirt!! Perfect for Fall. I am enjoying my must have jeans. Considering getting a second pair. 😉
Have a great day!
Leigh says
I love your picks! This is such a hard time of year to find clothes to wear. I'm in Nashville and its still in the 80's but I heard that cooler temps are headed my way! It's supposed to be in the 70's this weekend and next week! I can't wait. I already have outfits lined up. Of course 70's with humidity is still warm, but who cares! You are awesome. And I totally buy the same item in a bunch of colors if it fits well!
Alison @ Get Your Pretty On says
Your title just summed up exactly what I think every day when I get dressed. I'm SO sick of my shorts, I want to burn them all. Well, that's a little drastic, but at least get them out of my sight. Your outfit is perfect for these transitional days with cooler mornings and evenings.
Jennifer says
Cute outfits! I have a request, can you do a post on some pants other than jeans. I LOVE jeans, but working 5 days a week I am only allowed to wear jeans on Fridays. I feel like I am in a slump on what to wear especially since it is fall yet in the 90's and I don't feel like I can wear my cute little dresses anymore and yet don't want to wear black pants every day. Just a thought!
V @ X-tremely V says
I absolutely adore your outfit in this post Sheaffer! I am such a jeans and white button down girl, but that shirt is great!
Lauren Chudzik says
Very cute shirt (and I'm also living in my leopard flats!) What size did you end up ordering in the shirt? Is it pretty true to size?
smk053078 says
The Julianne flats immediately caught my eye!! And of course the leopard ones….and I hear ya…it's hard to figure out what to wear during this time of the year….I just want some 70 degree weather that lasts all day!! 🙂

While I want to order everything you post, I would be broke if I did so. So I have a new strategy for trying to attain all of these fab pieces for my wardrobe: Nordstroms & Amazon wish lists.
Everything you post that I want from Nordstroms (that I don't purchase right away), I add to my Nordstroms wish list. Of course, I made my wish list public and searchable and was sure to let my bf, friends, fam know when they want to buy me something to just go straight there. Sizes and colors are already selected. I want all of the stuff. Shopping for me couldn't be easier ;).
Amazon wish lists allow you to add anything from anywhere on the Internet (you aren't limited just to what's available on Amazon). So I downloaded my "Add to Wish List" button for my browser and every time I click one of your links to Loft, Gap, Stella and Dot, etc. I just click that button, add in any important info to the description and add that baby to my Amazon wish list.
All of my loved ones are also aware of my Amazon wish list. This is mostly because I'm encouraging everyone to do the same. It's helping my wallet as I'm not seing the impacts of impulse shopping, but don't feel like I'm missing out on stuff. If I have the budget to shop, I can click to my wish lists and purchase the things I've been longing for! I'm thinking this will be the best Christmas ever if I'm getting gifts I picked out and if I can simply shop for others the same way.
Thank YOU for finding and sharing all the things I'm wishing for. 🙂

I was in Dallas last week having left crisp, 73 degrees in NC, I was a sweaty mess in the 94 degrees there!

Those flats are super cute but dang! $120?? Thanks for a fun post, it's always a pleasure.

I love your choice of the leopard flats!!! And I'm IN LOVE with those new jeans!! Since my hips haven't seen juniors clothes in…um..a little while (ha) –I'm on the hunt for some ripped jeans!! Not just distressed (I want those too)-but ripped!! You & Shay have me hooked!!! They look FABULOUS!!! So on trend!!
Jen Pogue says
Yay! I'm so glad you love the leopard Felicia's now that your wearing them. You will keep getting SO many compliments on them! That white shirt is amazing!

I LOVE Sam Edelman shoes. So so cute and comfy!
Darcy says
I need some Sam Edelman shoes!! I have 2 pairs of Tory Burch flats and love them but don't want all of the same style shoes. I think my next pair will be Sam!

I think you may be a mind reader! I was having this same problem trying to decide what I would wear today. It's even warm this week in the Northeast. It's driving me crazy. I want to wear sweaters and boots already!!
Karen Stopnicki says
I love the Fall looks! Please have some more. It is so hard to dress Fall here (Houston, TX) because it really is 90, so those beautiful sweaters, jackets and all the other pretty things in stores now are really just too warm to wear now. Maybe even too warm to ever wear down here.
Nadine Skinner says
I am in Houston too, and I hear you! For me, 90 is still too warm for jeans. At least it is going to cool off this weekend!
Kelly says
Love your post as usual! I went to Old Navy for the first time in quite some time today, and they had some awesome new things. Would love to see you style some of them because the whole time I asked myself "what would Sheaffer wear?"
Meredith says
Will you please stop posting all the cuteness?! I'm running out of money buying all your suggestions! 😉 Now, I'm thinking I MUST have some nude flats!! Over the summer I bought the putty wedges and encouraged other friends to go get those, and then recently I've purchased the TOMS desert booties, the Sam E Penny boots, the Pleione shirt, and the Vigoss jeans. Although, the Vigoss fit super low on me and I don't think I could handle that on a daily basis. So, sadly, as much as I love the look (and price!) of them, I have to return them. But, I LOVE everything else!
Daily Express says
I agree with Michele- I have the Target leopard flats too and they are cute and cheap but uncomfortable for sure. If I'm going to wear uncomfortable shoes they need to be heels that look hot! I've had really good luck with Sam Edelman as far as comfort so I will have to check out those flats.

Really love the white shirt! Aaaannnd I ordered the leopard square toed Sams to compare to the other ones. I think I'll like the square toe better 🙂

Sheaffer!!! I was reading this post today and literally said "oh my god" aloud because I was wearing that Rubbish lace yoke shirt! I just bought that shirt 2 days ago and I have it in the Red-Earth color. It was my first time wearing it today and I absolutely love it. It's such an easy shirt to wear. I wore it with a leopard infinity scarf today and a military jacket…all from Nordstrom 🙂 I was wishing I had nude flats to make the outfit perfect, but I wore booties, which worked out well too. I think the only thing missing from my outfit were Vigoss jeans, but I still looked very fall-like 🙂 Oh, and I definitely will praise those Sam Edelman "Felicia" flats. I have them in 3 different colors. I should probably add the cognac or nude pair. Anyway, thanks for always finding great items! I just thought it was so neat that I was wearing the shirt you talked about today 🙂 It definitely wasn't lookin so hot on the hanger, but I'm glad you tried it on!
Jenna {Real Simple Girl} says
I can totally relate to wanting to wear all the cute fall things, but it still being too hot! UGH! I love that you put together a list of items that'll get us by until we can layer and enjoy fall in all its glory!
Mama Dean says
Agree with commenter about ideas for those of us who aren't able to wear jeans every day to work (or, um, not at all) and are stuck with the in-between weather and business casual mandates.
Also finally pulled the trigger at a Nordstrom Rack for a pair of bootcut (so not trendy, I realize) Vigoss and was pleasantly surprised. I would like to head into a regular Nordstrom to try other styles they offer – which section do you find them in, Juniors?

I have heard mixed reviews about women not in their 20s wearing distressed jeans/jeans with holes in them… What are your thoughts. It seems like you wear them well : )
