Y’ALL! IT’S LIVE! It’s FINALLY LIVE!
My friend Cassie’s new line, the Gibson x Hi Sugarplum Home For The Holidays Collection is READY TO SHOP! It’s her 7th collection with the brand, and it is FABULOUS.
She’s worked so hard on this new collection for so many months, wanting to make sure that everything would be perfect. I’m SO PROUD of her and SO EXCITED about all of the cute new pieces in my closet!
Y’all are going to LOVE it.
Here’s what you need to know before you shop…
Just like the last time, this time around the pieces are being carried exclusively at Gibson!!! Launching a clothing line during a pandemic is more than challenging, especially when retailers are limiting orders from brands, so for her 6th collection the decision was made to move it to the Gibson site. The launch went so well that the 7th collection is going to be there too. This is in the best interest of y’all (the shoppers!), because this allows them to pass on some savings to you!
You can use the code SHEAFFER20 for 20% OFF your order!!!
So what’s the collection all about?
Well, in addition to the gorgeous and happy colors, fun stripes, festive plaids, and oh so pretty feminine details that Cassie is known for….
This time around there are also some perfectly cozy (and neutral!) pieces that I’m OBSESSED with.
I’m highlighting quite a few favorites today, but Cassie is in every single piece ON THE GIBSON SITE. I suggest heading to the landing page to check out all of the pieces. And just a heads up, if history is any indication, popular sizes will sell out quickly (like some things will be gone by this afternoon).
And don’t forget! They’ve given STMT readers a code! Use the code SHEAFFER20 for 20% OFF your order.
THE BEST JOGGER SET EVER
In a big collection with lots of festive patterns and pops of color, I’m kicking off my post with a neutral jogger set.
BECAUSE IT’S AWESOME.
AND BECAUSE YOU NEED IT IN YOUR LIFE.
AND IF YOU KNOW ME IN REAL LIFE, YOU NEED TO GET USED TO SEEING ME WEARING IT.
I’ve tried and owned lots of different jogger sets, and this is far and above my favorite one I’ve ever owned. So I did the only thing that makes any kind of sense. I grabbed it in both oatmeal and black. #obviously
I’ve only had them for a little over a week, and I’ve already worn the oatmeal set twice and the black set once.
For size reference, I’m wearing a small in the hoodie and its still a relaxed fit, so you should definitely consider sizing down because I think an x-small would have been fine. I have a small in the joggers too, and they are fine, although I think I probably could have done the x-small in these too. These pieces are very forgiving and the fits of both are very relaxed on me. If you want a little bit more of a fitted look, definitely size down.
The ribbon drawstring trim makes it different than any of my other jogger sets. It’s such a nice design touch that really elevates the set, but it’s the cozy ribbed knit that truly sets it apart from any other jogger set I’ve ever tried.
Even though sets like this are meant to be a relaxed fit, I often feel that the material is a little more clingy than I like and highlights little lumps and bumps. BUT NOT THIS SET! The ribbed material makes it so forgiving!
These neutral sneakers deserve another highlight, and they go perfectly with this set.
They are the best neutral and will look great with jeans, denim shorts, leggings, and all sorts of athleisure! Officially they are called “Clear Brown/Nude/White”, but let’s just stick with the perfect neutral. I really like that the accents lean a little gold, but they aren’t shiny or flashy AT ALL. Seriously. They are a perfect neutral.
They are incredibly light, super comfy, and true to size!
I’m OBSESSED with both the jogger set and the sneakers.
Please, join me in my obsessions, won’t you?
Oh, and I get compliments all over town on my black and white black and white bag strap. Only $17!
So yeah, I got it in black too.
It just made sense.
Now I understand that most of you will decide on 1 color.
If I had to choose 1 color I would personally choose the oatmeal, but only because of the dog hair situation at my house. BECAUSE THERE’S DEFINITELY A SITUATION. Haha! If not for the pups, I would probably go for the classic black.
First of all, THESE TOPS ARE DARLING. The colors! The fit!
I mean, how adorable is this top.
I’m going to call it a light sweater. But it’s not super sweatery, if that makes sense. 😉
It’s similar to the light fleecy fabric that we’ve come to know and love from Gibson, BUT KICKED UP A NOTCH. It’s incredibly soft and cozy, and it just feels really great on.
The sweater comes in 2 different stripes, 2 different leopards (one bold and one neutral), grey, and black. The fit is awesome. It’s not boxy, but it’s not clingy either. It just kind of skims the body. AND LOOK AT THE SUBTLE FEMININE GATHERS AND TINY LITTLE PUFF AT THE SHOULDER. The banded cuffs and hem are super cute too.
For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.
This neutral leopard is adorable too.
It’s such a feminine fit.
And you know I’m always partial to a stripe!
Red, white, and pink all combine to make this super festive top.
Casual enough to pair with joggers or jeans, but nice enough to wear with a pair of nice work pants and heels! (You’ll see it styled with jeans and leopard heels later in today’s post.)
Now for some mirror selfies and some more pieces!
You obviously saw the pocket hoodie above, but I wanted you to see it styled with jeans and sneakers too. You don’t have to just wear it with the joggers if joggers aren’t your thing.
This is the first you’re seeing of this gathered cap sleeve top.
It too is incredibly soft, and it’s got the prettiest shirred neckline and these great little cap sleeves. The fit is forgiving, yet very feminine. I grabbed it in this neutral leopard, in oatmeal, and in black. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium. It would look great styled with the oatmeal joggers.
Here’s the plain oatmeal top. Styled casually very easily, but the fabric makes it such that you can dress it up very easily too. It looks so pretty with gold jewelry, and you could easily switch out my sneakers here for some heeled booties.
Speaking of dressing up.
LOOK! HOW! SASSY!
This black satin top boasts a fabulous and dramatic ruffle, and the fabric is incredibly luxe! It’s got a little bit of give, which is nice. I think it looks great with these dark wash skinny jeans, but you can definitely really dress it up as well. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.
And here’s the same top in a festive plaid.
You saw this same sweater styled above with bootcut jeans and booties, but I sassified (just act like it’s a word) it here a bit with skinny jeans and leopard heels. Again, I’m wearing a medium in the top.
And even though you saw the joggers up top, I wanted to show them again. (Some people say they prefer mirror selfies to the more staged shots.) I’m SO HAPPY to have this in my closet.
And I’ve styled the joggers a bit differently here with the gathered cap sleeve top and my favorite denim jacket from Amazon.
And here’s the oatmeal again. I just love it so sooooooooo much. You can really see the ribbon detail and the ribbed material with this color.
Okay, ladies! That’s it for the pieces I’m showing today.
But as I mentioned before, this collection has many more pieces and you need to see all of them!
All things cozy…
Darling lightweight sweaters…
And some dressier options…
Congratulations, Cassie! The entire line is absolutely beautiful.
I would be buying and wearing these pieces even if a dear friend wasn’t responsible for them, but the fact that she is just makes my heart swell with pride. I can’t wait till I get the first compliment when I’m out and about around town. You can better believe I’ll be like “RIGHT???? MY FRIEND!!!!! SHE DID THIS!”
Now, sit back, relax, and marvel at how darling everybody is in YOUR clothing line, Cassie! JOB WELL DONE, friend! xoxo
