It’s August 16th, which means it’s that time of year.
You know what I’m talking about.
School has started, but it’s still hotter than heck outside. You’re tired of buying summer clothes, and you’re thinking about fall clothes…but it’s too hot to wear most of them yet.
Still, you’re ready.
And waiting.
In the interest of starting to provide some inspiration for early fall outfits and transitional pieces, today I’ve got some graphic tees for y’all as well as some perfect fall shoe options. I did a couple of summer graphic tee posts over the last several months that were quite popular with y’all, but today’s tees are geared more towards fall. Some because of the subject matter…some because of the color…but I would wear all of these in the fall (while several would still work for spring and summer as well).
LOOK! HOW! CUTE!

Hello Darkness My Old Friend tee / Willie Nelson tee / Happy Camper tee
pumpkin tee / mama tee / Be a Nice Human tee
I’m telling you, Amazon is ALWAYS killing it with graphic tees.
I thought I would pull several tees from the flat lay above and show you how I might style each of them for cooler weather.
How cute is this tee, jeans, and booties combo?!? I want to wear this now. #itsavibe COME! ON! FALL!
And think how cute the same outfit would be extra super cute with a cardi or military jacket thrown on top as well. (Still waiting on this military jacket to arrive from Target. I also grabbed this one from Amazon and will be reviewing it soon – I got it in the dark red!)
Also, these chunky hoop earrings and this multicolor bracelet are both under $20 and great staples to have in your closet for fall.
Sadly, my exact jeans are sold out. They are straight legged, cropped, a bit of a relaxed fit (while still being flattering), and distressed. I searched high and low for a comparable pair and I came up empty handed. Mine were under $80 and I LOVE THEM, but there’s just nothing out there at the same price point. I did however find these from AGOLDE. They have great reviews and are darling, but they are definitely pricey.
If you want to try a straight cropped pair that aren’t distressed, these from Madewell are more affordable at $88.
More on the booties in a minute.

I’m not a coffee lover, but I know that most people are, so I found a couple of cute coffee tees for y’all today! I think this one is DARLING and I love it with the chunky cardi and sneakers.
Tell me you wouldn’t love to rock this entire outfit this fall.
I accessorized with the chunky hoop earrings again (you totally need them!) and this gold strappy bracelet is definitely one of my favorite Amazon accessory purchases I’ve ever made. It’s a magnetic closure on the back and looks like gold leather strips. It looks great on it’s own, and it is also perfect for stacking. I think I’ve had it for over a year now, and I’ve worn it a ton.
More on the sneakers in a minute, but look how cute they are!

And for those of you that are coffee obsessed, this Hello Darkness My Old Friend tee will be right up your alley. The sentiment made me laugh out loud. I love it with this all neutral outfit. I topped it with an oatmeal cardi and styled it with grey jeans and neutral sneakers.
I first showed you this cross necklace a couple of weeks ago, and I know that many of you purchased it. I keep getting messages from y’all talking about how pretty and dainty it is!

So now that I’ve showed you some outfit ideas, let’s talk about the shoes…
I bought myself a pair of suuuuuuuuuuuper similar booties from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale this year. I believe I got them for around $89 (but they are now $129), and they are Steve Madden. You can still find them HERE and some sizes are available again in the neutral and they seem to still be well stocked in the snakeskin.
For those that no longer have their size available or don’t want to pay that price, I found a great alternative on Amazon! Click HERE for the chunky booties seen below. Mine are the “light brown”, but there are several other very similar neutrals to choose from as well as white, cognac, black, snakeskin and others. The block heel, the pointy toe, and the deep cut out on the side all look awesome. And listen, I clicked around, and all sizes and colors appear to be UNDER $50. What a deal!
I think they are quite comfortable and they are true to size for me. If you are often between sizes, I think I would recommend going down 1/2 a size.
If you were following along last year, you know I became a huge fan of fashion sneakers. I had several pairs and wore them all the time. I’ve been looking this year for a new pair for us, and this pair caught my eye. The description says they are super cushy and ultra supportive, and I would have to agree. And I just love the color combo. I think the brown, white, blush, and rust palette will be so great with all of my fall outfits.
They are true to size for me, but I will say that they are initially a bit hard to get on. If you are between sizes, I would go up a 1/2. I got my true size, but I definitely had to loosen the laces up to be able to get my foot in. However, once the shoe is on, they are VERY comfy.
You can see that the shoe on the left has the laces tied like a normal sneaker, and on the right I’ve knotted the laces like you would see on a pair of Golden Goose. I much prefer the look where the laces are knotted on the side. Plus, once I loosen the sneakers in a bit, I’m hoping to be able to slip the sneakers off and on with ease.
Or maybe you are interested in a more neutral pair? I love these sneaks from Target and these are a great Target option as well. Both are under $30.
I bought a pair of neutral wedge sneakers that I absolutely loved several years ago, and I still love them, but I wanted to find a current pair for y’all for this fall. I find that I love throwing on a wedge sneaker with a lot of my casual fall outfits with both jeans and joggers.
These wedge sneakers are an incredible deal. All colors available are under $35, and many are under $30 right now. The ones I have are the “taupe”, and I like the perforations on the side and the band across the top. The fit is really cute and they are super comfy. True to size for me.
That’s all for today, y’all! Hope you found something to help you start getting ready for fall, and I hope you have a great start to your week! I certainly had a lot of fun starting to plan for cooler weather.

What size did you get in the Willie shirt?

Hello! I love the “Hello Darkness” coffee t-shirt, but wondered if you ordered the Women’s or the Men’s, and whether or not it’s the soft “Bella Canvas” type of t-shirt or the typical stiff cotton t-shirt…and if you ordered the Women’s, what size? I find a lot of the Women’s cut tees to run on the small side. Thanks for finding these!
Sheaffer says
Hi, Allison! I think I always order men’s. I don’t like the lower scoop necks that most of the women’s tees have. I’m not sure what a “Bella Canvas” t-shirt is. This one isn’t suuuuuuuuuuper soft, but I would still describe it as soft. It’s not a stiff cotton. Hope this helps! xoxo
