Friday Favorites: Shopping with Sheaffer

So this whole outfit is a favorite.

This sherpa is just as cute and as cozy as can be. It’s great for lounging around the house, but I will totally be wearing it all around town as well with jeans, leggings, and joggers. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium. I’m sad that the sherpa is sold out in the exact colorway I’m wearing, but it’s still available in an ivory option (called “apricot”) with some fun accent colors.

These are the jeans that I first showed in my Avara post. I’ve been wearing them non-stop. More about them in the next outfit pic.

The cozy platform slippers are a SUPER AFFORDABLE alternative to the chestnut Ugg slippers that have gone viral. The ones I’m wearing are on sale for just $19.99 right now. I got them in yesterday, and although the reviews aren’t great, I’m actually pretty freaking impressed with them. I wore them all day around the house and then even wore them out to dinner (just like all the kids are doing). 🙂 I got this affordable option because I couldn’t imagine the real ones would be worth it to me because of the price tag. But actually, I totally get the allure of them now and think I’m going to ask for the real pair for Christmas.

OUTFITS FROM EARLIER THIS WEEK

Now for a cardigan that I feel like everybody is going to fall in love with. This is the “khaki”, but it also comes in a light cream (apricot), black, hazlenut, and white. I’m wearing the small here, and it fits kind of close…. but I think I might order a medium because I like how it fits oversized on the models. I actually like how the small fits too, it’s just a different look!

I’m pretty newly obsessed with my Rothy’s driving loafers, but I’m pretty sure I’m going to be a lifer with this brand.

They are definitely an investment, but I know I’m going to wear the heck out of them, so I took the leap. True to size for me and sooooooooooooo comfy.

Okay, ladies. I’ve got some big ‘ol heart eyes for this top.

It is DARLING.

It’s the perfect soft chambray, I love the wash, and I’m obsessed with the fit and the ruffle collar and neckline. Plain and simple, this top is fabulous. It’s not stiff at all, and it’s got a little bit of give to it. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.

Let’s give a minute to these shoes, because WOW.

First of all, if you don’t know, LEOPARD IS BACK IN A BIG WAY.

Now if I’m going to be honest, it’s always been “in” for me. I think the pattern is totally chic and classic, and because of that I never stopped wearing it. But if you follow the trends closely, you know that now it’s officially back.

You know what else is trending? Mary Janes!

These leopard Mary Janes are undeniably fabulous. I absolutely love them. Very comfy, true to size, and I’m able to slip them off and on easily without having to undo the buckle. If you’re not a fan of the leopard, they come in 17 other colorways (some solids, some patterns).

5 THANKSGIVING OUTFITS

I hope Wednesday’s post was helpful. I highlighted 5 Thanksgiving Outfit options, and they were all filled with pieces I love. I’m going to show those same outfits today, but in mirror selfies.

I’m in love with this sweater. The neutral tones, the stripes, and the wide split hem are all fabulous. It’s very soft and a great mid-weight. It will keep you warm, but you won’t be hot. It does run on the large side, so I would definitely suggest sizing down. I’m wearing the small here and it’s still a relaxed and roomy fit.

If you want to go a little nicer than jeans, I’ve got a great option for you with these ankle flare cords. I will say the lighting in this picture makes them appear a bit lighter than they are. In real life, I would describe them as a true chocolate brown. They’re a stretch corduroy, not the rigid corduroy of our youth! Haha! They’re comfy, flattering, and totally on trend with the flare ankle fit. True to size for me, I’m wearing the 4. The sizes are definitely limited in the exact cords I’m wearing, but I found some similar straight leg cords HERE.

The sweater is a good one. You know I love the slouchy and relaxed fit, and I’m almost always drawn to a stripe. The neutral background with the small black stripe is classic and actually pretty chic. It’s lightweight, and it drapes nicely. It does run a bit big, so I sized down to a small.

These washed black Wit and Wisdom jeans have added some much needed dimension to my closet. They’re a heavier denim and have a bit more structure than most of my WW jeans, and I’m so excited to have them. They’re good with booties, with flats, with mules, and with fashion sneakers. They hit at the ankle and they have a frayed hem. True to size for me, I’m wearing the 4.

Okay, let’s talk about what are truly some perfect closet staples.

This relaxed v-neck from Madewell is new to me, and it’s so much better than the Madewell whisper thin tees that I’ve been wearing for years. This one is more substantial (not nearly as thin) and has a more relaxed fit. I’m wearing a medium. It’s NOW ON SALE.

And I think there’s a place in everybody’s closet for a longer line cardigan like this open front cardigan. There are a lot of super casual ones out there, but this one leans a bit on the dressier side and would be perfect for the office. Still, it would still look great with jeans and sneakers too. I would suggest sizing down. I’m wearing a small. It’s ON SALE too!

I’m straight up obsessed with this sweater dress. It fits my frame perfectly. It’s not body conscious, but it’s not boxy either. Just a perfect relaxed fit that skims the body, but doesn’t hug it. I’m wearing the chestnut, but it also comes in ivory and heather grey. The chestnut is a rich brown that I think could be styled in several different ways. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.

WALMART FINDS

Do you remember my Walmart finds from last week? We’re going to talk about them again with mirror selfies….

LADIES! I’m just going to say it. This looks like a $150 Anthro sweater. It’s GORGEOUS. But this fair isle cardigan isn’t from Anthro and it isn’t $150. It’s from Free Assembly and it’s ONLY $24. I cannot even believe it. You won’t believe it either.

The green is GORGEOUS, the fair isle pattern is festive, and I think the sweater kind of looks like cashmere! There’s a bit of a fuzzy factor to it, and that somehow just elevates the look. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.

If you want to dress it up, pair it with this metallic pleated skirt from the same brand and you will be holiday ready!

Can you even believe how FABULOUS this coat is!?! It’s 50% wool, fully lined, and the plaid pattern and colors are perfection. It is beautifully made and looks so much more expensive than it is. I’m telling you, I wouldn’t bat an eye if it was $250 at J Crew. I’m thrilled that it comes in extended sizing from XS – 4X.

There is one thing I wish I could change about this coat that I need to give you the heads up about… it doesn’t have any true pockets. The front pockets you see are faux, and there are no side pockets either. It seems strange that a coat of this quality doesn’t have pockets, but then again, it’s ONLY $64. What I’m saying is that I think it’s possible to overlook the lack of pockets.

This coat will be great anytime cold weather hits, but it will truly shine around Christmas!

The chenille sweater is crazy soft and has a wonderfully relaxed fit. I’m wearing the medium, but I have plans to exchange it for a small. I think it will still be perfectly oversized and slouchy. It comes in 6 colors, but I knew I wanted this rose pink to pair with the cute-as-can-be Christmas tree earrings. And y’all, this sweater is on sale right now for ONLY $12.98!

Okay, let’s talk about the suede platform booties. BECAUSE GIRLS. These would make SUCH A GREAT GIFT. They are 100% genuine suede, lined with faux fur, and are quite warm. They are of course totally on trend, and you’re not going to believe the price. They are on sale right now for ONLY $17! If you prefer non-platform and a little taller, check these out.

You need to know that this picture doesn’t even come close to doing this sweater justice. It is incredibly soft and looks like a very high end (and expensive) sweater. The rhinestone buttons are beautifully sparkly, but very tastefully done and not over the top at all. I dressed it up with heels and a clutch because of the blingy buttons, but it would still be a fun look over the holidays to wear with jeans and sneakers. The sweater truly is beautiful. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium. It also comes in an olive and an orchid, but this “maroon crush” is perfect for this time of year.

I love this half zip plush pullover for myself, but if you have a teen or preteen on your list, you should grab this immediately. I love the stand-up collar, it’s sooooo cozy, AND IT’S ONLY $10! Yep, I said ten dollars. It comes in lots of color choices, but my other favorites are the “wine punch” and the “natural”.
