It’s Friday, so y’all know what that means! It’s time to link up with Erika and Andrea to let everybody know what some of my favorite things are right now.

OUTFIT PLANNING
I had planned on having at least 10 outfit plan collages for today, but I was having some technical trouble on my end, so you’re getting 5 today…. hoping there are lots more to come soon!
A blush pink utility jacket? The answer is always YES. And I have AND LOVE these jeans.
twill utility jacket / tee / necklace / earrings / jeans / Rothy’s tote bag / Mary Jane’s / bracelet / lip gloss / scarf

And how cute is this cardi! We’ve got the same tee, jeans, and jewelry as the outfit above.
tee / cardigan / necklace / earrings / jeans / Rothy’s leopard tote bag / sneakers / bracelet / lip gloss

Here all I did was switch out the shoes and the bag…
tee / cardigan / necklace / earrings / jeans / Mary Jane’s / gathered suede shoulder bag / bracelet / lip gloss

This Zella jacket caught my eye (I love the green!), so I planned two outfits around it.
cinched jacket / leggings / white tee / huggie earrings / lip gloss / gym bag / Unseen Sunscreen / sneakers

And if you love the jacket but can’t see yourself in green leggings, you can switch it up with black leggings.

The Cleansing Balm totally changes the taking off your makeup game, and I’m telling you, you won’t even dread washing your face at night. It’s different than any other cleanser I’ve ever used.
HOW TO USE: First of all, I apply it to a DRY face. I scoop out a small amount of the balm with dry hands and slather it on to my dry face. As I rub it on my face, the heat from my hands changes the balm into more of an oily texture and it just feels incredibly luxurious. It melts my makeup away, leaves my skin feeling amazing and hydrated, and the light citrus smell is PERFECT. And it’s so gentle that you can even open your eyes as you are using it! A muslin cleansing cloth comes with it that is made with 100% cotton that gently exfoliates while you’re cleansing. It’s incredible. I just pop my cloth in the wash every several days. And listen, if you’re concerned about the price, don’t be. This jumbo tub lasts me around 9 months!
After cleansing my face, I use the peel pads. I’ve been using the Glycolic Acid Peel Pads for probably 4-5 years now, and I absolutely swear by them. After adding them to my weekly routine years ago, I’ve never looked back. These pads contain glycolic and lactic acid, both used for cell turnover. AND AT MY AGE, I NEED ALL THE HELP WITH CELL TURNOVER THAT I CAN GET. These pads boast a spa-strength treatment formula that helps to dissolve skin-clogging dirt and debris. The pads target fine lines, hyperpigmentation and imperfections. My skin needs help in all of these areas, and using these pads reveals a fresher, brighter, more even complexion.
The pads are large, so I sweep the pad all over my face, neck, and chest after cleansing. Paying attention to your neck and chest is so important!
I used to use a pad every 3-4 days, but then I went to every 2 days, and now I use them every single night. I notice such a difference that I just want to always be using them. There are 60 pads per order, so the jar lasts me 2 months (using one every day).

The Face Oil #9 is a product that I absolutely cannot live without. Like I would absolutely freak out if they ever discontinued it. If you’ve never tried it, you really need to! I’ve given it as a gift several times, and everybody that I’ve ever given it to is now a devoted user.
When I first started using it years and years ago I only used it at night, but now I use it in the morning too. I just mix it with my moisturizer and my skin absolutely drinks it up. YOU WILL LOVE IT. It is a must have product for me for sure. My face pretty much requires it.
Colleen touts it as the ultimate in skin luxury, and I have to agree. It improves radiance. RADIANCE!

And maybe you want to restock a favorite or try the best eye cream of all time for the very first time. This eye cream is a true viral sensation. It was my personal #1 find when I first used it a couple of years ago, and it was actually in my Top 5 finds for the entire year! It’s been in y’alls Top 5 mannnnnnnnnny months as well for several years. YES, IT’S REALLY THAT GOOD.

It makes my under-eye area appear brighter and more youthful. TRULY! The formula specifically targets common issues that many of us deal with like tired and dull eyes, under-eye darkness, fine lines, dryness, and puffiness. You can use it on its own on a fresh-faced day, but it also functions beautifully under makeup. I’m telling you, this eye cream is going to WOW you.
And just FYI: I don’t like concealer and never use it, but I think this eye cream not only does the job of an eye cream, but it also functions a bit like a concealer does. Here’s the difference though: it doesn’t settle into lines or crepiness (which is why I don’t like or wear concealer).
I obviously highly recommend this product. Like I said before, IT WILL WOW YOU.
Here’s what’s in it and what it does:
- Hyaluronic acid: helps reduce the appearance of wrinkles.
- Caffeine: targets puffiness and water retention.
- Pearlized pigments provide an instant brightening effect and create a radiant, glowing appearance.
- Peach coloring pigments neutralize blue undertones, helping to balance out skin tone and create a more even appearance.
- Peptites help smooth texture.

The Vitamin C Brightening Serum is one of the newer additions to my daily routine. I now use it every morning after my morning cleanse, and I put it on before I put on my moisturizer/face oil combo. It feels great going on, and I feel like it gives me a healthy glow. Plus, I know it’s just good for my skin!
It combines two skin-care superstars, 15% stabilized Vitamin C (THD Ascorbate) and the workhorse antioxidant Niacinamide. The synergistic blend helps improve the appearance of dark spots, smooth uneven skin texture, brighten dullness and defend against the impact of environmental aggressors. Over time skin appears radiant luminous, and healthy.
My mom turned me on to the Age Renewal Super Serum probably 3-4 years ago now. She uses tons of CR products, but this one is her tip top favorite. She swears that the deep smile lines she has on each side of her face were greatly reduced as a direct result of adding this product into her routine.
My mom used to not bat an eye at spending serious bucks on skincare. Like, SERIOUS bucks. She felt like her skin was important and it was worth the money to take care of it. However, after my dad retired, she started to become more mindful about the money she was spending and changed up her products. She was disappointed that her skin wasn’t looking as great as it had in the past, so she went back to the expensive lines. But after I introduced her to Colleen’s products, she was able to ditch the super pricey products, and now she only uses Colleen AND IS THRILLED WITH THE RESULTS.
So I use the Vitamin C Serum every morning, and I use the Age Renewal Super Serum every night.
Vitamin C Brightening Serum / Age Renewal Super Serum

And we of course can’t forget MY FAVORITE NEW PRODUCT OF 2025!
YEP. MY FAVORITE PRODUCT OF THE ENTIRE YEAR.
This Ethereal Glow Serum is truly incredible. You pretty much have to try it. You’re going to just have to trust me. It’s “skincare packed radiance”, y’all.

It will give you an instant, soft-focus glow. It’s like a filter in a tube, friends! TRULY!

As you can see, it’s available in two universally flattering shades. Both are designed to complement a wide range of skin topes and styles.
The CHAMPAGNE is the lighter shade and gives a soft and radiant glow.
And below you can see BRONZE – for a warm, sun-kissed effect.
I use the “bronze” shade and mix it with my Lumi Glotion (shade medium) every single day. This combo is what I use now instead of traditional foundation. It goes on BEAUTIFULLY, and my skin looks radiant and healthy, and it’s not heavy at all like I find so many traditional foundations to be. This combo makes my skin look great and gives me so much confidence.

GIRL’S TRIP TO SAVANNAH
So I went with my girls to Savannah, Georgia last weekend and had the best time. We left Thursday and we came back Sunday. It was a quick trip, but it was fabulous. ANY TIME you’ve got a chance to get away with your girlfriends, DO IT!
TAKE THE TRIP.
Shay plans these trips for us down to every last little detail, and when I say I’m just along for the ride, I mean it. She does a great job with everything, and I do mean EVERYTHING. We’re talking hotels, transportation to and from hotels, food tours, reservations for brunch, dinner, places scoped out for happy hours, shopping time, etc. If you want details on anything from tour companies to dinner spots, head to Shay’s blog to grab any details that I might not have included.
We stayed at the JW Marriott Savannah Plant Riverside District, and it was gorgeous. It’s located in the heart of Savannah, our room had a riverside view, and everything was in walking distance!

We rotate who we room with every year by drawing names, and this year was my year to room with Shay! After getting our rooms, we freshened up and headed to one of the hotel bars for a quick drink before heading to dinner.

Our first night dinner spot was at The Fitzroy. We totally lucked out with a private room that was so cozy and vibey! Everything we ate was amazing (I shared the roasted beet salad and the Gnocchi Parisienne with Jeni), but you HAVE to get the Brussels Sprouts side. Best brussels I’ve ever had.

After dinner Shay had scheduled a Ghost Tour / Pub Crawl through Mad Cat tours. It was actually freezing on night 1, but I still had a great time walking the streets of Savannah with my girls.

I’m just so grateful for this crew.

On Day 2 we got to sleep in! And let me tell you, I love a slow morning start.
Our group loves a food tour, and that’s how we started our day. Shay booked through Savannah Taste Experience Food Tours, and I loved the peek our guide gave at the city along with all of the foods we got to sample.
In addition to the food, you could grab drinks to walk around with if you wished. Bloody Mary for me, please!

We had several stops on the tour and got to sample biscuits with peach jam, She-crab soup, sausage pastries, shrimp and grits, avocado toast, and we were introduced to some local honey. I loved it all.

It was a sunny and gorgeous. The perfect day for strolling and shopping.

Jeans HERE and sneakers HERE. The tee, belt, and cardi were all from little boutiques in downtown McKinney.

Early that evening we headed to one of the hotel bars for cocktails before dinner.

Dinner was at The Collins Quarter Bar, and it was my favorite meal of the trip. I didn’t grab any food pics, but I highly recommend sharing the winter squash and burrata salad and the Calamarata beef ragu with a friend.

We got to sleep in again the next day and had a yummy brunch scheduled for 10:30 at B Matthew’s Eatery. I had the fried green tomato and crab cake benedict, and while it was great, I couldn’t stop eyeing Meagan’s shrimp and grits!

After brunch, more shopping!

And then this is when day 2 took an unexpected turn. Two of our group ended up getting tattoos!
James was hysterical and made the experience memorable for all of us for sure.

Before heading back to the hotel to freshen up for dinner, we popped into the Savannah Tequila Co for some chips, dips, and spicy margs!

We went back to our rooms to relax for a bit and then freshen up before heading to Stone and Webster Chophouse.
I shared the wedge and a filet with Shay, and then we ordered lots of sides for the entire table (get the roasted carrots for sure).
And that was our trip! We were picked up at 4:30 a.m. for an early flight so we could all get back to our fams for plenty of time to hang and to get ready for Super Bowl parties. Personally, I was asleep on my couch by 8:30. 😉
A huge THANK YOU to Shay for planning out every little detail and for making these trips easy and SO MUCH FUN for our group. And another reminder for all of you to TAKE THE TRIP.

Can we have a moment for the fit check under the oaks? Head to toe hunting camo with a crossbody bag under the low country’s iconic scenery. Savannah postcard worthy!!
Sheaffer says
Monica! I didn’t even notice the full camo under the trees! Guess the camo was doing its job. 😉
Kathy says
Hey Sheaffer,
I love the velvet Madewell maryjanes. My foot is very narrow. Do you recommend giving them a try?
Sheaffer says
Hey, Kathy! I haven’t personally tried them, so I’m not sure. Sorry I’m not more help! xoxo
