It’s pretty clear that I’m really loving a lightweight sweater paired with shorts these days.  Because it is so lightweight, I’ll be able to wear it all the way through the summer.  There are high slits on the side, but not high enough that they show bare skin.  For size reference, I’m wearing a small, and it’s still quite oversized, but I like the super relaxed fit.

OTHER SALE ITEMS

As of Thursday night, both the top and the shorts were ON SALE!  Fingers crossed they still are!

I fell IN LOVE with THIS TOP the moment I saw it.  And then I put it on AND I BECAME OBSESSED.  This lilac color is gorgeous (it also comes in mustard and white).  The puff sleeves, the little ruffles on the sleeves, and the eyelet are all so sweet and feminine.  It’s a great top.  It feels special, and it’s only $24.99 (before the sale!).  And it’s 100% cotton.

For size reference, I’m wearing a small.  Definitely size down if between sizes.  The top itself is cut pretty large, so I will always wear a 1/2 tuck with it to give me some shape.

The eyelet holes are pretty open and I figured I was definitely going to wear a cami with it.  Although you of course could wear a cami (and maybe should depending on where you are going), I actually didn’t feel I was exposing anything by not wearing a cami.

Let’s have a moment with the shorts.  They are $18 and they have fantastic reviews.  They are very distressed, but I dig the look.  I totally recommend sizing up 1 (I’m wearing the 6s).  The fabric is soft with a bit of stretch.

STUDDED SANDALS

Last Friday I highlighted my new studded sandals for the first time (click HERE to see them styled with shorts).  I got several questions on if they would look good with jeans because of the ankle strap, so I posted this picture on social media to show you that they are definitely good with ankle jeans too!  (Sorry, the rest of the outfit is sold out.)

I also posted this poll on instagram stories because I’ve been getting a lot of questions about my new LV.  I explained on stories that I have a whole post written about this bag and I had actually published it back in March, but I took it down after it had been live about 20 minutes.  I decided it was insensitive at that time (at the beginning of the pandemic) to be posting on how to buy a designer bag.  However, I’ve been getting so many questions about the bag lately, so I wanted to see if y’all were ready to hear about it. It looks like most of you are curious and ready, so I’ll be deciding soon when that post will go live.

SANDAL ROUND UP

In addition to the studded sandals above, this month I’ve been talking about 2 other pairs of sandals as well. I love and highly recommend all 3 pairs.

Here’s a close up again of the studded sandals.  True to size, comfy, and the perfect amount of edgy!

I got these strappy cognac sandals late last week.  They are darling, super affordable, and very comfy.  (These are the sandals I’m wearing above with the SUNSET sweater at the beginning of the post.)

They are very Madewell-esque, and they look and feel much more expensive than they are. They are real leather and I just love them.  Plus, they are a fantastic deal for under $35!

Nobody is as surprised as me, but I’m really enjoying these patent sandals.  I initially ordered them only because there were lots of readers asking for reviews on them.  I don’t normally love sandals that go between my toes (I don’t love my toes), and so I just assumed these wouldn’t be for me.  Well, you know what they say about assuming.

They have a padded foot bed so they are comfy, the piece between my toes doesn’t bother me at all (as it often does in flip flops), and I love the neutral patent so much (although it does come in lots of other color choices as well).

I would recommend sizing up a 1/2.  These are also under $35!

Y’all.  This stuff is soooo good.  I cannot go without it, and I keep hearing the same thing over and over from y’all.  Nobody believes it at first, but after trying it y’all become believers too!

So here’s what you do.  Hang up your wrinkled clothes, take several passes over them with the spray, give the clothes a couple of tugs, and then let them dry.  THE WRINKLES DISAPPEAR.  Y’all.  THEY DISAPPEAR.

And here’s the AFTER picture!  LADIES!  LOOK AT THESE RESULTS!  I mean, I may never pick up an iron again!  The ingredients are non-toxic, and the solution smells great too (but they’ve recently added a no scent option as well).  And when thinking about travel, I no longer have to carry my steamer out of town.  I pop the little travel bottle in my suitcase, I’ll hang my clothes up and spray them upon arrival, and then they are ready to go when I am!

When I first introduced you to the spray a couple of years ago, this is the picture I used.  This top is sooooooooooo hard to iron, and I used to not wear it as often as I would like, simply because I didn’t want to iron it.

It’s GORGEOUS.

The red is so vibrant and it fits like a dream.  It’s flowy, it’s fully lined, it drapes beautifully, and it’s soooooo soft!

The straps are adjustable (which is amazing) and it has some give to it as well (with a bit of elastic on the back), which I appreciate.  At 5’4″, I’m in a regular small and wearing 3″ wedges.  If wearing with flat shoes, a petite small would be better.  It’s even possible that an xs or an xs petite would work on me, so I would definitely suggest sizing down.

I’ve dressed it up here with gold jewelry and wedges, but it would also be cute dressed way down with Converse and a ball cap, or even as a beach cover up!

The dress is DARLING, it’s made of a crisp cotton poplin, and I feel great in it.

For size reference, I’m wearing a medium, which is true to size for me in a dress like this (because I need the room in the chest). Unless you need extra room like me, I would suggest sizing down.

I appreciate that there’s a little snap on the bust to guard against a wardrobe malfunction.  And the cut is so flattering to the arms and shoulders.

So this dress is obviously a NO for me….but gosh, I wish it was a yes!  Sadly, the small is wayyyy too tight on my chest (seen below), but I fear the medium would be too big everywhere else.  I still wanted to show it because I think it could be really great for a lot of you!  I often have difficulty with things pulling that button up, but if you don’t have that issue, you should be good.
