Friday Favorites

It’s Friday, so y’all know what that means!  It’s time to link up with Erika, Andrea, and Narci to let everybody know what some of my favorite things are right now!

And then I wore it yesterday!

As you all know, I’m currently a brand ambassador for Sole Society, and these blush booties and tote were a total no brainer for me this month!

First of all, if you don’t have this striped tee, you need to just go ahead and fix that now.  It’s a favorite of mine for sure.  I love wearing it with denim shorts all summer long, and it’s a great basic to have in your closet to layer under different jackets in the spring.  I sized up to a medium for a little extra room.

This jacket is an old favorite as well!  And y’all, it’s from Old Navy and of course super reasonable!!!  My jacket is from several years ago, but I’m almost positive the color is the “hunter pines”.  I love the camo and blush pink ones as well.

AND THE JEANS!  The jeans are new to me as of last week, and now they are ON SALE for 40% OFF!  WHICH MEANS THEY ARE ONLY $46.80!  I’m wearing a 27, so they are true to size.  There’s a bit of distressing, but not too much…and the hem is darkened and so cool.  At almost 5’4″, they are a great length on me for booties, flats, and sandals!

Here’s a close up of the bag.  If you like large bags, this one is great!  It also comes in black and cognac.  It’s vegan leather with whipstitch detaling, and it’s a wonderful look.

And the jeans!  They only have 9 reviews, but 7 are 5 STAR. And remember, we are talking UNDER $50 now that they are on sale.

Here’s a great close up of the hem of the jeans and the booties.  And remember, if blush booties aren’t your thang, they also come in taupe and grey!  I do not wear socks with these booties.

They are suede, the cut out is very flattering on the ankle, and the braided detailing looks great.

And I know tons of you already have this cowl neck tunic, and I love the oatmeal color with my new blush accessories!  Only the grey is left at Nordstrom, but I’ve linked a couple of other retailers that still sell the tunic (below the outfit pic).

So two weeks ago I wore a bralette for the first time.  And it opened up a whole new world for me. A whole new LOOK HOW SASSY MY OUTFIT IS world.

It says the small is a 0-2…and I’m NOT a 0-2, so I would say ignore the numbers and just go with your regular small, medium, or large!

I’m so excited to share my favorite Colleen Rothschild products with you!  I have been using CR products for almost two months now and I am OVERJOYED with the results.  If you don’t have a skincare routine, you need to start one…you wear your skin every day – it’s time to take care of it!

I use it in the morning and at night.  I warm the product by rubbing my hands together and then massage it on my DRY skin.  Yes, dry.  It’s going to seem weird at first, but trust me…it makes a difference!  After cleansing, wet the muslin cloth (included with the purchase!) with hand-hot water, wipe off the balm, and prepare to be amazed.  This product melts makeup off your face without stripping it of hydration!  You’ll feel your skin changing after just one use.  Please keep in mind this product isn’t just for people with dry skin.  There are hundreds of reviews online from users with oily/break out prone skin and they are singing CR’s cleansing balm praises, too! 

Vitamin C Treatment Complex – Any mama’s out there who have been struggling with melasma (AKA pregnancy mask)?  Well, I have!  I’ve tried every product under the sun (Lancer, Dermatoligica, LaRoche Posay, Osmotics…the list goes on and on) to reduce the hyper-pigmentation I developed while carrying my baby boy…but nothing worked.  I was so discouraged (and broke!). When I read about the Vitamin C Treatment Complex and its ability to reduce pigmentation I figured I give it a try, but I’ll be honest, I wasn’t expecting to see results.  Well, I was wrong.  YOU GUYS THIS STUFF WORKS.  I’ve seen a significant reduction in the hyper-pigmentation and I’m SO excited and relieved I’ve found a product that is worth the money! In addition to reducing hyper-pigmentation, this product provides a protective barrier against pollution, increases cell turnover and stimulates collagen production.  Younger looking skin?  Yes, please!  I use the Vit C complex every morning and allow it to completely absorb before applying my moisturizer, which leads me right in to my next review…

 

The Sheer Renewal Cream!

I’ll admit it.  I’m a moisturizer snob.  Before I tried this product, I wouldn’t use anything on my face that was less than $150.  This $55 moisturizer has saved me a significant amount of money (and probably saved my marriage, too).  Just kidding.  Kind of.  😉  The sheer renewal cream provides weightless hydration…but it still provides enough moisture for extremely dry skin like mine!  It also promotes cell renewal and helps minimize the appearance of lines and wrinkles. It’s my new go-to moisturizer and I will never be without it, but don’t take my word for it…go ahead and read all of the reviews on the Colleen Rothschild website! 

Conner also loves the eye serum, the face serum, and the extreme recovery cream which she will be reviewing at a later date.

I am in love with the Radiant Cleansing Balm for my 50 year old face. I’ve never had issues with dry skin but my skin was starting to look dull and blah. Two of my favorites are the Age Renewal Super Serum and the Retinol Supreme Night Oil but they have both need out of stock for quite awhile:(. I have subbed back in products from past favorite skincare lines which have big names and higher price tags with much less impressive results. It’s a bummer but I’ll be ordering extra as soon as they are restocked. The eye cream is another favorite but I truly love the entire line because it makes me look younger, well rested, my makeup goes on flawlessly and it’s just so easy to use! – Marla
